This is absolutely the worst gun shop I've been to in the State of Maryland. As an Air Force Veteran Ive been to different gun shops and nwver so disorganized. I ordered a glock for shipment. The store called me and said I needed to bring my ID before they ship it to DC. I wait until Saturday and drive 45 mins for the Manager to tell me the gun was shipped and I didn't need to come. I told him, they called me, he said well the new guy must have done it. I asked for confirmation my weapon was picked up. He said, he couldn't provide me a paper trail. Had a great experience. First time firearm purchaser, although extensive training and veteran. All of my questions were thoroughly answered, staff was friendly, and purchase went smoothly. I am beyond disgusted with this place. I bought my first weapon from here and I didn't know no better so I thought everything was fair especially sense I heard he was in business for years and years. I know for now on to read reviews before making decisions on the spot. I thought because I was taken cared of the last time I would get the same treatment. I was definitely wrong, I had the pleasure of working with the owner who was very short when it came to asking questions about the weapon of choice I was selecting. I brought a friend with me and he and bought a gun right on the spot and so did I. I asked the owner, hey this is my second weapon I purchased here and I brought you a referral can I get a discount and his reply was no. "This is why we have been in business for so long etc." When he went to the back to get my weapon box he opened and closed the box and pushed it to the side and asked for my information etc. He did the same as well with my friend. When we left we was like did you feel like he didn't want us being there or did we do something wrong. I should never feel like this after spending $740 for a handgun. Fast forward to today when I picked my handgun up and the young black guy got my weapon for me and he opened it for me. The first thing I noticed was the sale sticker on it so I asked was this a display gun ? The guy said yes it was it was the last one. Not one time did the owner inform me that I was buying the display gun and at full price. I understand now why he was being fast and short. It's my fault for not correctly inspecting what I am purchasing but at the same time if I spend $740 on something it needs to be brand new and untouched from others. As I checked prices for the same weapon at other places and online the gun was definitely overpriced. It was a Glock 36 gen 3 which at the time I didn't know it was a gen 3 until after I had questions about everything that transpired. Please do not go here because the owner is trash and disrespectful and he over prices everything. When I was leaving I asked to purchase ammo for my weapon. For 20 rounds hollow point ammo he was charging $70 but full metal jackets 50 rounds he was charging $70. It makes no sense. I went to bass pro shop and bought 50 hollow point rounds for $49.99. This place is trash and a rip off. I believe he thinks because most of his clients are black he can over charge us and not do our research. This store was under investigation back in the 90's for shady business transactions. There was even a news article. They have legally cleaned up their act since then. However, the prices Realco charges for firearms are highly inflated. Potential customers are better off going to the firearms store in Rockville Md. Or the one in Waldorf Md on rte 301. Buying gun cleaning supplies from Realco yes. Buying guns and ammuntion NO. Don't get ripped off by Realco. BTW I had ties to Law Enforcement, so my earlier statement is legit. This business provides bullets that are overpriced but poor quality. Not only are they not welcoming, but their services aren't even worth the money being paid. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody, but I would hope that they provide better quality services in the future so I can come back and give a better review. Terrible experience, the customer service was nonexistant. The employees were unhelpful, condescending, and combative. Went to inquire about gun licensing and gun safety classes. The shop keep was rude and didn't answer my question properly. All he kept saying was that they offer classes to their customers.... I dropped off a pistol for service and they took over 3 months to replace a firing pin. After the first month of not hearing from them, I called for an update. They told me they couldn't fix it, but could send it to someone who might be able to. Okay. Two months later, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called again. The clerk told me "I don't know what to tell you. I guess they're still working on it. Just wait." Two weeks later, I called again and told the manager I was moving and needed the gun immediately, fixed or not. At this point, he said, "Oh, yeah, it's fixed. You can pick it up next week." So, for $105, I got the privilege of slow service, rude customer interactions and mediocre repair work.
