This place was pretty busy on a Sunday morning, there was a 45 minute wait before we were able to use the firing lanes. They had lots of inventory on different firearms even some historic one or favorites seen on tv used by your favorite action movie, lol. A first time fan! I've been to several ranges but this has to be my favorite. They have a variety of targets to choose from which makes it fun. VIBE A very relaxed spot to get some target practice in. You are allowed to take your phone in and use it as long as you aren't taking pics with a firearm in hand (safety first). It can get loud in here since you are allowed to shoot rifles and etc., if you are not one for loud sounds double up with some air plugs. Anything you may need or want is for sale so don't worry if you forget your personal protective gear at home CUSOTMER SERVICE The employees were very welcoming and went over all the important information without making you sit through some long video or speech. I am writing this review regarding the HGP training. While the training itself was fine, I am extremely disappointed that at no point was it communicated that individuals with an honorable military discharge are exempt from this requirement. I have now paid for this course twice -- once for the initial training in Glen Burnie and again for the renewal in Severn -- and neither time was this important information disclosed. It feels like a complete waste of money, especially since I only found out about the exemption directly from MSP. Had this been made clear upfront, I would have never enrolled. The only way to make this right would be to issue a full refund. Thank you for your understanding. read more

Service was a 10 out of 10 they had answered every question that I always wanted to know and I was always curious about. As well as the firing range and directing me on the dues and don'ts and the equipment they had was amazing. They had a wide range of selections to choose from. The sales people who work there are way too good at their job. And a lot of the selection are at a very good value and the shooting range time is a very good deal. Excellent service and range. First off they are nice at the counter and are totally available for any questions you might have or help you might need. They had a variety of targets and guns to rent out. We have rented a few when we go and it's just awesome that we can even do that. I feel rather safe here too. Indoor ranges can sometimes feel a bit sketchy, being so close to a bunch of strangers you are trusting your life with. But there has been an employee on the range watching everyone and available for anything that may come up. They also clean up after people that don't. I can appreciate the kindness. I would say if you go, go early to prevent waiting for a lane. And rent something new if you haven't tried out other guns. read more

This is the safest gun range in the tri-state area. There's always a top notch range officer in the shooting range. I have been taking my son there for many years. I watch what is happening when my son shoots and I see the range officer watching and correcting unsafe behavior. The staffing is amazing and the knuckle head that left one star has no clue and if other people were watching him, he was probably being unsafe. It is a good way for everyone shooting to make sure it stays safe. The glass to store is a fantastic way for the staff can also watch for unsafe behavior. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I have purchased from them many times and always feel that they have helped me make a great decision. Even the owner offered me the ball cap off his head because I asked him if they sold hats. I forgot mine and I feel more comfortable with the hat protection against ejected shells. It's a family run business and his sons have also treated us like we are important. Cindy's is a complete revamp of what used to be the Select Fire range. Only ten lanes, but they are very well lit & have target trolleys that enable you to set your distance consistently. It's also one of the few indoor ranges that will permit rifle & shotgun shooting. It's well supervised & the staff is friendly and helpful. HQL Full class! Directions to prep and directions to the location were easy. Arrived a few minutes prior to the class. Registered, took care of finishing application. Had fingerprints done on site. Bill started presentation and was very easy to follow along and understand. He also was at the firing range, very helpful and comfortable to learn. John did the second portion of the education presented. Lots of information regarding the firearms during this portion. Like a foreign language to me but they answered any questions. It's nice to have a clean and friendly range not far from Annapolis. Although small, and wait times can exceed three hours, the staff will put you on a wait list and give you a call when you are 30 minutes out from your lane. My biggest reason for not having 5 stars is the lack of heat and air conditioning. It's cold in the winter, and after shooting at Elite in VA where you don't have to wear a jacket to shoot indoors, I realize it is an issue that needs addressing. I was a member of On-Target just right outside of Fort Meade when Cindy's Hot Shot took over the business. I was not informed by the previous owner nor the new owner of this. I contacted Cyndy's about my membership that I was no longer able to use and never got a response. The place still has not been opened and I wasted my money on membership. Great range!! Quality gear, weapons and ammunition for sale. Staff are friendly and willing to help. They explained the range rules clearly and had safety foremost in everything. Range targets are available for cheap and the system is very easy for a first timer to understand. Simply select what target you want, staple it to the cardboard and set the range on the system. I will be coming back here as often as my ammo budget will allow. They do offer a discount for military/first responders. Keep in mind they will check ammo type before going into the range. They do not allow armor piercing or green tip. It's an indoor range after all. As far as I'm aware they can accommodate you if you give them a heads up. read more

Guy at register had an attitude. Range was cold. Target selection was good. Gun tables in the stalls were small and unstable. The computer that controled the target distance on one of our lanes was very erratic and difficult to use. read more

Holy moly this place is bad. As soon as you step into the range you can hover over to your lane, that's how thick the gun powder smoke is in there! There is NO ventilation whatsoever! After 30 minutes I started coughing profusing because I was inhaling TOO much gunpowder and my eyes started burning, the smoke is just too much and there is no ventilation to help at all! This is cancerous and must be in violation of some sort of health code! My goodness, think of your lane safeties and their health! read more

Because they allow shotgun practice with 12 gauge slugs, because they intend to allow trained people to practice with holsters, because of the friendly, patient people working there and their entrepreneurial spirit, I joined for a year. Cindy'ShotShots will open additional lanes to compensate for the growing clientele. Some how they enjoy their jobs and aren't on work release programs like some places on 175 lol. So currently they are # 1 as far as Gun Ranges in Maryland with Free State a close second. What a change from the previous ownership! Not only did they update the range to increase retail and range space, but it is so much cleaner and brighter. However, the main change has been with customer service. These guys are great: pleasant, respectful and always willing to help, unlike the patronizing butt heads at other ranges. Another major plus, is that they allow shotguns not only with slugs, but with 00 buckshot as well. This is huge for seeing how your gun patterns at different distances. During my last review of this location I made it a point to absolutely clobber the facility. Since new management has taken over, the difference is night and day. Cindy's Hot Shots has revitalized the shooting range market in Glen Burnie and has future plans in play to transform yet again. One of the major critiques I gave Select Fire was the visibility of daylight through the side wall of the range. While I personally am less comfortable with the side of the building, I can see that work was done in good faith to correct that problem. The structure of the side wall has been up-armored from my last visit and I can no longer see daylight through the downrange side wall. This could be an actual improvement or a fake it till you make it scenario. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I still prefer my shooting range walls to be continuous walls, especially if there are future plans to improve the range for rifles and the backstop is street-side. The atmosphere has been improved on the range side and the shooting stations made more comfortable. It can clearly be seen that a strong effort was made to reimage this facility to become more inviting. Gone is the dire warning sign on the front door and in its place is a large windowed storefront, shaded against the sun but welcoming and appreciative of the clientele they serve. The retail side is brighter and more inviting and the staff inside more friendly. Even the available merchandise is more organized and cleaner. All in all, I am glad someone told me this place was reborn under new management. Cindy's Hot Shots stands the chance to usher in a new and brighter Second Amendment future in Glen Burnie.
