I choose peace over violence and have never opted to engage in any type of career that requires the use or rationalization of violence like the military, policing, security, etc. I realized that being peaceful is not an excuse for being ignorant. I wanted to be better informed and know what the laws are in Maryland regarding firearms. I wanted to be informed so that I could make an informed decision regarding firearms policy and possession. The owner of Maryland Firearms and Tactical Training was my instructor and was a delight to meet and learn from. We had lively discussion during the class and he was so gracious throughout the day. He offered coffee, water, snacks, small breaks and even a ride to the range. The course is worth triple than what it costs. This course is hours long and includes a trip to the range to put into practice what you are learned. I learned so much! My instructor and I had a robust ethical and political conversation on the drive back as well, and even when disagreeing on points, he engaged with me respectfully and thoughtfully. He is a very intelligent, thorough and considerate business owner who I highly recommend.

The item I Had worked on was a 1911 that had trouble feeding hollow points since I Purchased it. Ball ammo was never an issue. Took it in, the clerk looked at it, said it will probably be a couple months as they were back-logged. I just got it back, and while I haven't fired it yet (just got it yesterday evening), the ramp and throat work is beautiful! The metal is mirror bright, and slick. I've no doubt this 1911 will operate flawlessly now. And then the cost! $100 for a quality of work that is this impressive! I could not give higher marks to them. Affordable 5 star work, and excellent staff. Need work, go see Scott.

My husband and I took our HQL certification class with Master Arms & Tactical. It was fun and relatable! Instructors are very informative and take time to answer questions. Plus, they are super patient! The class held a mix of students from every background and skill level, which made it feel super inclusive. They walk you through the MD Gun Laws. They teach you what firearms are and aren't. There is a practical session to just get familiar with holding a gun if you haven't done that before. They instruct you on the mechanics of shooting, with stance, sight, breath and firing. Then you get to shoot a hand gun. It is inside the classroom with a crayon shot...which was nice because it wasn't too loud. They must be pretty good because I hit the target square on my first try!...and I've never fired a handgun before! I would recommend Master Arms & Tactical if you need your HQL class or if you are just trying to understand something you don't have a skill in!
