Ask the Community - Tyler Firearms

Hi! I am looking for .22 match ammo for nrl22, do you have something like SK, Elly, Lapua, RWS in stock?

We don’t normally carry match grade .22 LR, but can order some for you from our distributors. We typically stock CCI Mini Mags. It looks like the only Match .22 LR we can get is from CCI. All the others you mentioned are not available.

    Do they have .303 british?

We haven’t seen that in quite a few years. You could try ammoseek.com to see if any online places have it.… Read more

Do they sell tss .410 9 shot ammo?

We have some birdshot and defensive .410 ga ammo in stock. We’re open Monday through Saturday from 10-6. Stop by any time we’re open and we’ll help you get the right ammo for your needs.

    Do they sell ammo?

We do, but like every other store, we are out of most common calibers, such as 380, 9mm, 40 and 45.

    Do they sell magazines?

We stock a wide array of pistol magazines from Glock, Sig, Taurus, Smith & Wesson and others. We also have plenty of Maryland-legal AR-15 magazines. Stop by the store and we’ll help you get what you’re looking for. See our website at… Read more

I liked how focused on safety he was and how he recognized that a firearm is not always the best option. I'm looking forward to taking some of his scenario based training too to continue working on my self defense even after I have my permit. Son of A Gun runs CPR/First aid classes also because he really wants you prepared for all situations which I really like! I would definitely recommend checking them out for any of your self defense needs.

From the owner: Son of A Gun is a training company that focuses on family firearms safety. Our goal is help you…read moretalk to your kids about firearms and make sure they know how to be safe around them. This is not only important for families with firearms but also for families without them. Unfortunately, we can't be with our kids every minute of everyday and everywhere they go. If your child is out without you it's important that they know what to do if they encounter a firearm out in the wild. This is something that is very very important to me. I have children of my own and when my son was 5 he told me he knew where a shotgun was at a house he spent a lot of time at. He later told me he knew where the shells were too and that it was not locked up. This absolutely terrified me. I immediately started running safety drills and exercises with all my kids. I don't have access to the house where this gun is at and cannot keep my kids from going there so I needed to take precautions. A year later my son let me know he had found another gun unattended and unlocked in the same household but this time he was with his friends. He said his friends wanted to touch it but that he knew he'd get in trouble so they didn't. I was so relieved to know that my teachings had saved not just my child but someone else's. Kids can learn firearms safety without ever firing a firearm or being around one. Give us a call or send us a message and let's get your family on the right path with their firearm safety.

Sadly, I am unable to leave a review with 0 stars…read more I attended the 3-night security training course with Security Training Academy and the experience was extremely unprofessional. Within the first portion of the class, the instructor clearly stated that taking pictures of the slides was allowed (no video or audio recording). That guidance directly contradicted what happened on the second night, when an individual who later claimed to be the owner abruptly interrupted the class and aggressively singled me out by name, threatening to remove me for doing exactly what we had been told was permitted. There was no attempt to clarify policy, no professionalism, and no respect shown. The situation escalated unnecessarily and created a hostile learning environment. I deescalated and continued the course, but the damage to the overall experience was already done. To make matters worse, once that individual left, the instructor admitted that we had, in fact, been told photos were allowed and apologized. That inconsistency and lack of leadership speaks volumes. As someone who coordinates trainings for a large security company and was actively evaluating potential providers, I can say this experience alone disqualified this organization from consideration. Consistency, professionalism, and clear communication are basic expectations for any training environment, and this fell short on all three. I would not recommend.
