I have never been offered such attentive care and tremendous effort to process my application; noted, I would not have successfully applied in time if not for Kevin. He was meticulous to make sure all the proper documentation and information was prepared, was very communicative throughout the entire process, and was prompt to answer every single question. I'm very grateful and appreciative of the quality of care and effort, especially having followed through to the very end; my entire application process was handled by Kevin and he provided so much resolve/sense of security and relief from the start and on-going. If you are searching for an apartment, home, any place to live in the Humboldt area/Eureka, and want to have the best, effortless, and timely experience (a significant pro of RPM that was essential in procuring my new apartment) without the endless time-consuming search..or more-so a hunt, then the solution: RPM Humboldt. They truly take care of you. Also, I highly highly recommend asking for Kevin Saephanh, who without a doubt, I can personally vouch for to anyone..everyone! Side note..I applied to virtually every single property management company, private building landlords/managers, other types of leasing agencies or groups within the entire Eureka area. I have not even been approved yet from ANY of them so far, meanwhile I just signed a lease for my "dream" penthouse that Kevin..idk magically somehow made it possible despite all the factors that conflicted with my personal preferences from being approved in time, let alone expedite even the move-in date. He personally reached out several times to the building management in order to approve, expedite the restoration process, and even helped change the move-in date that was originally stated on the leasing agreement, and with a pro-rated addendum on top of everything so that I don't have to pay an entire month's rent, but just for the few extra days of the end of the month. This is also the first yelp review I've ever written..and out of my own urgency/willingness at that. I would have wished for someone to provide an extensive review of their experience with whichever leasing office/company during my previous moves which all paint very (unfriendly) memorable experiences of struggling with wait/time, multiple fees and payments to the company, agent, and property management all separately, as well as a plethora of contracts to sign, other random fees and deposits, and then a couple more additional fees..most of which are explained through a questionable contract or agreement filled with nonsensical mumble jumble attempting to explain such fees. As for RPM, there is only one application fee ($42), and no other fees or payments to RPM including the common ~$500 deposit fees required by most other companies just to be placed on a waiting list, with no guarantee and response until every other applicant before you rejects their approval, which typically takes up to a month, generally longer though. However I had one week to look for apartments, apply, and sign. Ideally impossible, I'm aware. But evidently not at all an issue that RPM can't resolve. Thank God for RPM.. As a military family, we sometimes have to do a leap of faith when it comes to finding housing quickly. The first person we interacted with was Alicia. She was very professional, prompt in her replies to our many questions, and above and beyond in her helpfulness with the area. We also interacted with Kate during the initial application process, and sometimes found replies and responses coming in from both, which was an encouraging and pleasant surprise. Everything was smooth for the application and move in processes, which is comforting, as moving from one side of the country to the next can be stressful enough on its own ! Shortly after the move, ran into a couple of very minor maintenance issues at the rental home, got a bit concerned, but was again, pleasantly surprised with the prompt, courteous , and professional manner in which they were addressed and corrected within 24 hours ( sometimes less ) of the initial request ! End of the lease term arrived, and got the chance to interact with Kevin ( so polite and efficient ) , Amy ( great at quick responses ) and finally Henry ( treated us like VIP's from our first to final interaction with him ). Full return of our deposit within a week of the final walk through. No issues at all. I had a very bad experience earlier this year when I hired Ken Moffitt of RPM to manage some property for me in Eureka. He never gave me a chance to review the application of the prospective tenant he had chosen. She turned out to be someone whom he knew from similar transactions. She never did live in the house but allowed three men to move in. I found out about it from the neighbors within a few days. They did not feel safe under these circumstances. I was very concerned and called Ken Moffitt many times, but he did not return my calls or emails until a few days later. He told me that the men were helping her move in and then would leave, but they were there all during the month, before I could get an eviction notice. One of them had the PG&E in his name. When I arranged for a walk-through with Ken Moffitt, I learned that the men and the woman who had filled out the application were heavily involved in growing cannabis and were openly smoking it in the house and on the decks. I believe that if Ken Moffitt had done a background check he would have known immediately about the cannabis. He blatantly disregarded our contract about allowing subtenants and smoking on the premises, and then avoided contact with me, making it difficult to obtain a 30-day eviction notice. D. Now that these two companies have merged, there is no place to get quality management. PPM & Real Property Management are now one in the same, so look out! I worked with PPM for years, and gave them thousands of dollars as my management company of three properties I own in Eureka. I found them to be very uncooperative when listening to my concerns, and even less cooperative when it comes to helping me keep my property rented. I was constantly having to list my own property and feed them the prospects. The straw that broke the camels back, was their maintenance dept. Not only are they completely incompetent, they are rude as hell! DO NOT!!! let these people run your business for you, be proactive and lookout for yourself, its usually all you got. The worst of the worst, the accounting. And frankly isn't that what its all about, the money. Don't let them steal your money! Renters beware, Landlords be warned. read more

I have had the personal experience recently to find a rental in good condition. Alicia Johnston started helping me with the application process, it was quite obvious that she was very smart and professional and she definitely knows her properties. I am grateful for her prompt responses to my text messages. She seems to understand that it is a little stressful finding a new home, but she made it very easy for me. I'm writing to give credit where credit's due to Ms. Sasha Rodriguez. I was hardly impressed with my initial rental experience with RPM's personnel on the outset. I'll not go into details at this point. I am, OTOH, exceptionally satisfied with Ms. Rodriguez's assistance since I've moved into the new digs. So far RPM's business acumen (at least for this client/ renter) is what I would define as a 50/50 affair. It's entirely due to Sasha's professionalism and persistence in responding to my requests that I've gained any respect for the outfit. Sasha responded very quickly with the status of my maintenance request submitted thru RPM's system and let me know what was happening. Sasha also recently provided advance notice of a emergency water shutoff to me and other tenants in a building that RPM manages. Such notice was very much appreciated so that I wasn't surprised when water service was temporarily stopped. I was not look forward to dealing with a property management company in order to find a new place to live, but have been pleasantly surprised by how professional, straightforward and mostly easy RPM has made it. A lot of people give this company a bad name however my experience with them has been phenomenal. Currently any issues I have had with my apartment I shoot a quick email to Sasha at RPM and she takes care of it that instant. Real Property Management has been so nice and helpful about applying to their apartments! They always write back quick via email or text whether it being good or bad news about a place I was interested in. My sister and I were very lucky to have this property management by our side to help us find an apartment only after two weeks of looking. She has answed our questions about the status of the application and made sure that all of the appropriate documents were submitted. This company discrimination against the disabled. They do not work with those on SSDI. It doesn't matter if you have SSDI and can afford the rent easily. All they care about is you making 3 times the rent. How does that work for those on SSDI.
