I have the utmost confidence in Arrow Property Management. The office staff has always been professional, friendly and courteous in all my dealings with them. They check references, and verify information given on applications as one would expect from a professional management company. Phone calls have always been returned in a timely manner, usually within 24 hours or sooner, if not answered immediately. We rented from Arrow Property Management for a little over a year before we found a home to buy. It was overall a really great experience, and I'd recommend them if you are looking to rent a nice house. We were very happy there, and probably wouldn't have moved out at all unless we bought. The management team is very responsive to maintenance requests especially, which I really appreciated. If you're looking to rent soon after I've posted this review, the one we lived in is available, so definitely check out their website. Look, renting is hardly ever ideal, but sometimes you have to do it for any number of reasons. We've rented a lot over the past couple of decades and have been stuck with some pretty nightmarish landlords once or twice. You want the best possible, most stress free situation you can find. In my experience that's a professional organization like this one, not an individual. Would not recommend Arrow if you are a young renter / first time renter. Unfortunately another scummy landlord after they have you in a unit for a couple months. After I signed papers to move in to a unit there were people ALREADY MOVED IN. They had gotten the key because it was left at the property for showings. Cannot even imagine what would've happened if I moved in and they came before I was able to change the locks. It is Humboldt county after all. Luckily Susan told them to get out and had the locks changed, but that was the end of her helpfulness. With in the year of me living there: she did a surprise drop in because we had a uhaul outside since we were moving a bed and she was worried we were leaving without notice and wanted to MAKE SURE..I think a call or text would've sufficed. Also so what if we were? The rent was paid lol. We asked multiple times to have pest control come out to inspect as other neighbors heard in their apartments and we had heard scratching almost nonstop in our bathroom and bedroom walls. What they said was a raccoon (that they had no proof of because it didn't exist nor was anything ever removed) turned out to be rats. How did we find out? They made a literal nest in a kitchen cabinet we never used which we only discovered once we were moving out. When we told arrow they didn't acknowledge it. Arrow opted not to mention our apartments bathroom/bedroom was notorious to grow mold and was known amongst our neighbors because the last tenant let it run wild. There were no ceiling fans anywhere in the apartment so it was up to us and our wallets to come up with a solution. We came back from vacation and our ceiling in our bathroom was swollen and dripping water from the upstairs toilet. Arrows contracted plumbers took 3 different days to fix it over the course of a week. While waiting for them it burst. Our apartment was incredibly damp/humid and our mattress was ruined from mold. We decided then it was time to leave. Susan showed our apartment to a mother and young child before we were even moved out. It was uncomfortable to say the least. I spent multiple days cleaning and patching small nail holes as a good tenant would. Only to still be charged most of our security deposit because a non licensed/side gig cleaner off of Facebook classifieds was hired for 15 HOURS at $30 AN HOUR to clean a very small two bedroom apartment. That I had already left spotless to the best of my ability. 2-3 hours I understand. But definitely not 15? TDLR if you're a young first time renter and don't know much about tenant law, expect to be taken advantage of. Also I wouldn't put it against Susan to fight you to the death in court if it came to it lol. Use arrow as your last resort. read more

Give a never minimum amount of time to find another place in a housing crisis. Even after paying rent every month for five years on time. Save your time and rent else where. read more

Absolutely the best property management in the area!When looking for a new place I applied with several (more than 15) companies who took as much as a $50 app fee and didn't get any timely responses. I applied with my girlfriend for a cottage in Cutten. There were two of us plus a co-signer, so we were charged $60 just for applying. No one else at the open house seemed to be serious about the property and we weren't led to believe there was any real competition, but somehow I got the feeling that we were never really considered. After waiting a week, we were told that the owners had gone with someone else. Susan said our application could go for other properties, but she didn't actually have any other properties. She promised there would be something next week, so we waited over the weekend (living out of the car, mind you) only to find out that the "opening" didn't exist and there was absolutely nothing on the horizon. We had to go with another company and pay another application fee. All of that is just the nature of the frustrating and unequal property market around here, but what really pissed me off was when we called her asking for our sixty bucks back because hey, we paid good money for absolutely nothing, and she just quoted the "no refunds" line and treated us like the dumbest people on the planet. We are not stupid. We know we have been taken advantage of and jerked around and we deserved a real apology at the very least. Shame on them. read more

No Susan, I have not confused you with another property management company, we lived in a house you managed in ferndale. We were charged for 40 hours of housekeeping at 25 dollars an hour I cant imagine what took them 40 hours to clean. we were also charged 125 dollars by the handyman to put in two lightbulbs and a fix 2 broken lightsocket covers, a job which might take about five minutes. You either hire very slow and highly paid people because you don't know any better, or your ripping people off. read more

I was new to the area and had a hard time finding an apartment as the renting market is extremely competitive in Humboldt County. This management company was the only one that would rent to me. The owner Susan was a kind and fair manager. She was also helpful as well and I was happy that I was able to rent my apartment on a month-to-month basis, rather than getting stuck with a lease. I love this company. I owned a home in the area for over 12 years and had several very mediocre property managers before I found Arrow Property management. Sheila is so efficient, savvy, and helpful. My home before I met her had some horrible renters one who had to be evicted and after I started using Arrow the house was rented continually with never more than a week in between renters to really great renters.
