From the beginning, Rei set the tone by reviewing my project thoroughly, being upfront about costs, and even asking follow-up questions to make sure his team could deliver the work at the highest standard. That professionalism was my first green flag. Mark handled the work on my car and went above and beyond my request. I asked for before-and-after photos to help me track carbon buildup for future maintenance, and not only did he deliver, he provided even more detail than expected. The results spoke for themselves: No more idling during cold starts, City MPG improved from 24-26 to 30-32, when I first bought the car off the showroom floor I was so impressed with the quality and transparency that I immediately scheduled additional maintenance and performance upgrades. I would give Eric ten stars if I could…read more My family and I found ourselves in a nightmare situation: our wheel bearing failed in Chicago traffic, halfway through a cross country road trip with two kids and a dog. A frantic Google led me to Eric. I called him and, unlike every other mechanic we reached out to, he took our emergency seriously, and assured us he'd look at our car right away when we got to him. True to his word, he had our car up on the lift within 15 minutes of our arrival, and brought us over to show us the (sadly very catastrophic and obvious) failure of our wheel bearing, and the other systems it had taken out with it. He gave us an itemized clear estimate, which identified a part he wasn't sure we'd need, and clearly laid out our best and worst case scenarios. His costs and timing were exactly as advertised. Thankfully we did not require the extra part, and he was honest about that. Eric was kind and friendly, got us the information we needed when we needed it (making extra phone calls to give us a clear timeline), and let all of us (including our dog!) hang out in his very nice clean waiting room. He had sodas, and a TV, so the kiddos were happy, and we were back on the road within 4 hours of our arrival which felt like a small miracle. Our car is running great. His costs were fair and reasonable. While he isn't immediately off the highway it was very easy to find him, and under 5 minutes' drive from 90. Highly, highly recommended! Bonus: he had some really cool cars he was working on, which we got to check out, and a display of vintage car parts that were fun to see.

I was able to get my car towed to Casey's the following Monday (we used D&R Towing at the recommendation of the shop, and that was a great experience in and of itself, I left them a good review too. Thanks, Rich!) and my car was assessed the next day despite being told Wednesday-late Thursday was the soonest. I was in a pinch working an hour from home and needing the car back before noon today, but the crew got it in and sorted and had it back to me just shy of two days later! The price was as-quoted, no surprise fees or "other" issues that arose between my phone calls and arriving to pick the car up. I was also advised of some preventive maintenance to be done on my next oil change, but was told I can wait until then for that. Jeff and Jim have always been overly communicative, never do any work that they don't talk to you and get your approval first, and their team does great work. The pricing is very fair. They will even give a new car a full inspection and give you honest feedback. We had a family member buy a car from Carvana that had some issues that were covered under warranty. CD Jr dealt with the third party completely and updated us every step of the way. Today though, I pulled into the very left stall, next to the oil bins. The tech helping me out was a younger kid. I saw him filling up the oil jug he was going to use to fill my car with oil, but I noticed he was filling it with 0W-20 which my car does not take. I had to stop him and tell him my car takes 5W-30 and he said sorry and switched to the correct oil. Just a gentle reminder to anyone who sees this, always pay attention to your surroundings. I don't even want to go back now and I'm not even sure if this had happened in the past. At the end of the day oil is oil, but if oil changes are the ONE THING y'all do best, I'd better get the right oil put in my car.
