The breading was perfectly crunchy, the chicken was juicy, and the sides were great... especially the baked beans, which were a standout. The second night, I went with the patty melt and fries. Both were delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries were crispy and flavorful. I usually have stomach issues when I eat patty melts, but I had no problems at all here, which says a lot about the quality of the food. On top of that, the staff was outstanding. We came in with a very large party, and they handled everything smoothly and professionally without missing a beat. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Picnic tables are on the front porch and a swing hangs from the ceiling. There is a vintage cash register used when you make payment for your meals.
