This was like a local pub in Europe when i got inside. Outside is actually the back of a gas station but has a separate driveway then pulling into the gas station so pulled in anyway had already seen that they have a bar and I headed straight to the bar. Mind you, I am from Northeast Atlanta and I don't get in this area very often so being near the lake and a good variety of beer, I figured I couldn't do wrong. I had looked at yelp and saw that they serve poutine and I wanted to try it locally so I got a regular order then I actually ordered a chicken club as I've eaten seafood for the last two weeks, but it looked really good and it was! The poutine is a meal in itself... Fries with cheese, curds, and gravy is definitely something you have to try and these were as good as many I've had. I only ate not even half, but it was very tasty. Service was great, atmosphere. I really liked being relatively quiet and very local. I sat at the bar since I was alone and have a couple of beers with as much as the food as I could eat and then took the rest of it to the hotel down the street. They have good seafood selection, plenty of appetizers and choices. I just centered around the poutine and thought the club sandwich would be smaller, but it was perfect and even lasted for me for eating on the road for lunch the next day. I ordered onion rings with the sandwich since I was getting poutine... They were crunchy and hot. Very tasty why I ordered onion rings and poutine. I don't know. Cold beer good choices. Happy camper. We ordered our food and got an appetizer to eat while we waited for our food, took 40 minutes to receive and everything was cold. We received our food and everything was cold as well, when you would ask for something the server seemed annoyed. The ambiance isn't bad, bathrooms were clean but for the prices, quality and service I wouldn't recommend. read more

I hope the local folks won't mind me writing this review of their favorite little spot! This was a lucky find from Yelp! We were famished after a long drive and our hotel was down the street. Near the hotel and a gas station. First, the place was filled with fun loving regular patrons. Many TVS showing a lot of sports. All were friendly and not upset a couple of Texans had popped in for drinks and dinner! I ordered the bacon cheese burger and a salad and we shared some wings and poutine. They were a little short handed, but made up with super friendly effort to get all customers cared for! My salad was out first and is was fresh, huge, crisp, cool and filling! Next came the burger and poutine fries! The burger was huge, exceptionally well made with a fantastic flavor! The poutine fries were the best on this side of the US Canadian border! Do not recommend this place at all. HORRIBLE service. The worst I have ever experienced. We came in with a party of 11. There was one other table in the entire restaurant finishing up eating when we arrived. We got drinks and our orders taken quickly, which was nice. Then we waited 40 minutes and noticed a table that came in after us had gotten their appetizers already and we still had nothing and they had not come back to check on us. After 3 people from our party complained they finally told us that our server had left and our ticket didn't print. About 15 minutes later we received our appetizers and the table who came in after us was getting their ticket. There was no apology and they honestly didn't even come check on us again after that. About 20 minutes later I finally got up and asked if anyone was going to ever come refill our drinks or check on us or anything because it had been over an hour since we got our drinks and they were very clearly empty. The girl who was supposed to take over our table was texting on her phone when I got up to ask about drinks. They finally came to get drink refills and I asked to speak with a manager and the very rude young girl replied "there isn't one here" to which I responded "well isn't that convenient." At this point we collectively decided we were leaving and we weren't paying for a single appetizer. The "salted" pretzel also didn't even have salt on it. I have worked in food service and the way we were treated is ridiculous. They walked past us several times to check on the other tables that had come in and never said a word. If they were super busy I would understand but this is unacceptable. Half the staff was also outside smoking at some point during the first 40 minutes that we waited (still in their kitchen aprons that they were wearing while they cooked food.) If I could leave -100000 stars I would. read more

Our appetizers took over an hour to come out, we never got serviced for refills, and our food never came. other tables that came in over 30 minutes after us got their food before our appetizers. This used to be one of our favorite places at the lake, but the service here is now TERRIBLE. We had a party of 3 during an off time on Memorial Day, it was not that busy when we arrived. We seated ourselves and waited about 10 minutes to get a menu and order drinks. After about another 5-10 minutes of placing our drink order our waitress had to come back and ask again what we ordered, this should have been our clue to leave. We saw another table going to the bar to get their own refills. Once we did get our drinks the waitress spilled one of them all over the table and said she was coming back to clean it up, she never did. Once we finally ordered food we waited a close to an hour and waitress came back and asked what food we were waiting on and said she lost our order. Again it was not that busy when we were there it was mid day. Another table that came in after us, with a larger party was already getting some of their food. We finally told our waitress we were leaving and not waiting any longer bc at this point we had been there over an hour with no food. While we were paying for our drinks, it appeared our waitress was putting in our order and she was clearly aware we were leaving. This place needs new management. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

(group of 9) If I could do no stars I would. We walked in and seated ourselves as advised, cool, no problem there. The issue is that after 30mins and no appetizer no check in from the waitresses (as they stand at the bar on their phones) we asked if someone could check our order. we were advised that the server who took our order LEFT without saying anything to anyone about the order we put in, so they asked us what we got and said they found the order and would bringing it out. Another 20min later we got our single appetizer out of 4 put in and were told the rest would be out soon. on top of waiting 15 more min not receiving any refills, not being checked in with by the waitresses, received an attitude from both of the waitresses left when we did ask for refills Or an update on our order. After an hour and a half of being here (while they sit on their phones and chain smoke outside) and receiving attitudes from the waitresses and NO food other than the appetizer that made it out we asked if there Was a manager we could speak to and with the attitude persisting were told there was not one. We opted to leave And go somewhere else. when going to pay for the appetizers they advised us we could leave. And that was probably the only "good" in this experience. I would not recommend coming here unless you have hours to kill and arent really hungry.... So much for trying the "new" menu. read more

I was staying in town for a week for work and read about the wings at this place. Decided to give it a try. Upon arrival i sat at the bar, and the girl bartending was more concerned with talking on the phone with her friend. To her credit, she did say she couldn't talk because she was busy. I waited about 4 minutes when she finally asked what i wanted to drink. I said a Jack and Diet. She's proceeded to serve me a Jack and regular coke. Since she was so busy, i decided to let it go and just make sure i emphasized DIET on my next drink. It was about that time when an electrical fire erupted from the fryer outlet. Luckily the main breaker for the restaurant tripped, and they closed the place for the rest of the night. Thinking the electrical fire was a one-off event, i decided to go back a couple days later. Sitting down at the bar (not busy at all) I saw the same girl bartending - again on the phone with a friend. I waited for 6 minutes without ever being noticed, and left. This bar and grill is a hidden gem! I was skeptical because it is connected to a gas station. But Changed my mind immediately. The waitress and maybe the cook let us sit outside and the day was beautiful! The beers were giant and nice and cold. There are So many sauce options for the wings that I didn't know if I was going to be able to pick one. I asked the waitress for recommendations and she brought us out her three favorites to try, and boy were they delicious! I picked two of her recommendations. I would leave zero stars if I could. My husband, two small children and I sat down at a table at 7:30pm on a Tuesday night. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks (3 waters and 1 beer). The waitress told us she was the only waitress for the whole restaurant and apologized for how long it took to get our drinks. We ordered our food and were told the kitchen was backed up. The waitress only came back to our table one more time for the rest of the night, said she would get me a refill, and never returned. At 9pm the cook came out and informed us that one of our dishes couldn't be made because they were out of an ingredient. We changed the order and she returned to the kitchen. Our food was finally brought out at 9:40pm. My kids' mac n cheese was lukewarm. During the hour and a half wait for our food, the waitress left the restaurant a couple of times and also sat down with a table to chat with a group. At one point both the waitress and cook left the restaurant?! And dirty tables were left un-bussed for hours. This was hands down the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. I will not eat there again and will tell anyone who mentions the Sunken Ship about my experience. read more

There are a lot of options here, but our of our party of 5 we just didn't like much of what we ordered. The kids pizzas were on flatbread and were kind of gooey, the kids chicken plate was massive but just not the best, wings were meh, and the chicken club had a lot of bread but just wasn't anything spectacular. The waitress had her daughter serve us and the waitress seemed pretty busy, cooking and serving guests, I know because she mentioned how much she was having to work several times. Amazing place for wings! We love this place, don't let the location stir you away. It's next to the gas station and it's a hidden gem. Tabitha and Kristen are awesome and amazing service. Cool inside and lots of space. I love fried pickles and they are the spears not chips so that made me super happy. Good craft beer on tap. The menu has a large sauce selection both dry and wet for all types of heat. I got the Smokey fill and Honey garlic for the mild lovers but for you heat lovers try the Davie Jones , so hot the heat increases the longer the wings sits. It's near Pickwick Dam area. Visited pickwick for the weekend and needed somewhere to watch football on Saturday. This place didn't look like much from the outside, but let me tell you this little sports bar was awesome. We had an awesome experience at the Sunken Ship ! I think they gave us too much food on accident but I wasn't sure and I certainly kept my mouth shut hah !! I had wings and picked out (3) flavors... all (3) were sensational. My friend had a cheeseburger and said it was perfect. The staff was friendly and the service was terrific! Well it would be a 1 star if it wasn't for the poutine. Got there tonight at 730 place didn't have many customers. AC is out so hot as hell. No biggie understand. Ordered a Bloody for the wife and beer for myself. Seemed bartender was busy with friends more than guest. We ordered poutine and wings with the poutine to come out first. Beer empty can't find bartender. Wings came out then poutine last. Still no beer or silver ware. Man from the back was at the computer seemed to be manager. I asked for silverware he seemed pissed that I asked he went and got them and just tossed on bar. I asked for a beer and no response. First bite of poutine was hot and delicious. Went to wings both our orders were cold. Asked the other bartender to touch the wings she said yes there cold I will get more made. She went to the back and since I was seated at the bar I saw the cook say I know there cold they have been seating there. So I first thought if he knew that would be cold why send them out?? I was still looking at the kitchen when I saw the cook take the one wing out that I had a bit off of and trash it then promptly throw both orders back into the fryer. Remember the bartender had already touched them to show they were cold. I asked the bartender to cancel the order and she was apologetic.
