The most disorganized group of kids running a series of spaces from an apartment in Brooklyn. Since…read morethey never personally visit the locations or the tenants, it is chaos. You communicate via text with various people there who say different things. You get a code to access a location for a visit. They claim all spaces are taken when spaces are vacant. Since they don't have a current list and unknown people are squatting in empty spaces-this leads to excess texts and more confusion. I just left a space in Hells Kitchen due to water damage. It took 4 days of texts to get a response from them. The place was dirty; smelled like mold and the food commissary above it was noisy. Go to a legitimate storage. Save your sanity!

I called to see if there was anything they could do for me and they basically were like no it's going to keep going up in price every 4 months too. They would rather me move out , give a new low rate to a newer customer, and then increase there's as well instead of just looking me out . Thanks for nothing ! Now I'm going to move my things and I'm going out of my way to not use any other extra space storage. Highway robbery, the mortgage on the warehouse isn't going up by 50% every 4 months so why is my price going up? At a time like this , no help for the community but what else is new.

Unprofessional Experience with Store Manager Jose Gonzalez and misleading customers…read moreI purchased what was supposedly listed as an abandoned storage unit at this extra space storage location, and it was a total scam. The unit wasn't actually abandoned it was just filled with trash, paperwork and leftover items from multiple other units that looked like they had been swept together and resold as one. There were personal family photos, children's clothes, and random items from several families of different backgrounds. It was obvious this unit was just a pile of discarded belongings that the facility didn't want to clean out themselves. The store manager, Jose Gonzalez has a long history of doing this according to the storage buying community I've been in this business for years we've heard similar complaints from other buyers and vendors who say they've had issues with him taking advantage of other customers or banning people who speak up about it in this facility mostly as well. We finished cleaning the unit and Gonzalez the store manager became a bit aggressive at the fact we just told him that the unit felt like a scam that he threatened to ban us just because we made that comment not only that but threatened to call the police simply because we wanted to take pictures of the unit we had just cleaned as proof. He falsely accused us of trespassing, even though we still had our access code and were finishing up our work he was unprofessional that he didn't even let us finish signing our paperwork I'm sure he was upset at the fact that we didn't pick up the urine and droppings and the rat poop that was there It was clearly unsafe for us to clean, overall this experience was unacceptable the store manager gives a bad example of what being a manger is. He's threatening, disrespectful and dishonest very unprofessional this experience and attitude gives extra space storage a horrible reputation I hope corporate investigates this location and the way abandoned units are being resold and handled customers deserve respect not threats and scams.

It went from $93 to $250 on the 7th month. We went to put more stuff in since we are stuck with the unit for another month this past weekend. After unloading 2 cart full of which included 2 AC units there was a paper taped to the elevator that it was out of service. We asked an employee who stated it wont be fixed for about another week. Since we were stuck again & had no choice we climbed 3 flights of stairs making 10 trips between me & my husband. Pictures attached.

I rarely give a one-star review, but Storage Blue now PRIME Storage in Union City deserves it…read more While all businesses aim to make money, some disregard their customers to do so, and this is one of them. They hike up prices unexpectedly (5 months in $213 to $223 plus tax and service fee), back out of commitments, and twist your words. Initially, they may seem friendly, but don't be fooled they're not helpful at all. Their strategy is to lure you in with 'low rates' and then significantly increase them. Also I recently lost my job so going through a bit of a financial struggle, I have accumulated some late fees, which they are fast to apply but when it comes to a credit I am owed I have been on them since May 28th to have it applied on my account and I am yet to see it. Lastly the elevators often don't work you would think with price increase the storage would be maintained but not the case. Do better PRIME Storage! Their sales associate Jose is condescending, rude and flat out the worst customer service representative I have encountered recently!!!
