This is in a nice location where the surrounding area is not too crowded or busy. They have daily office hours from 9am-6pm. Gate hours for tenants is from 5am-8pm. They seem to have a lot of security measures - special access to get onto the premises and through any door, as well as surveillance cameras. There are a variety of unit sizes; it is just a matter of finding an available one in the size that you need. They have a number of units that have access from the outside and also some that are completely indoors. Their buildings have AC which is a major plus! Indoor units also have access to carts that may be used to move belongings to and from and elevators for areas with a second floor. They also have music playing quietly throughout which is especially great for the indoor units so that it is not all quiet and eerie. All areas looked to be clean and well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. And, prices seemed to be reasonable. The only downfall for us was availability, which is definitely not a negative thing to judge them by. Guessing they really are as good as they appear, so why wouldn't their units be pretty much filled up?

So Cesi called me and asked 'Hi Is this Jonathan I say Yes hi, she said have you been to your unit lately? I say no it's been a while at least maybe a couple of months She says ok because the unit is 'open I say what? She said yes! It wasn't you? I say no! She says well it's open and it looks like there's a red machine outside of it is that yours? I say yes that's my welder she says ok well it looks like it's been broken into. I say what! she says yes. I need to know if I can have your permission to drill the lock. I say what? She says yes I need your permission to drill the lock and fix the door, right now I'll send you an e-mail and you can electronically sign it, so we can drill the lock I say Ok, not thinking right at that moment. Then I asked hey wait a minute what if I'm missing stuff what did they take anything? can you check the cameras her response was oooh nooo that's going to take HOURS! What! She says yes oh and you have to make a police report. At this point in My mind, I'm like hhm.. you know what let me come over I'm only 30 minutes away. She says ok, and hangs up on me. She said no I didn't ask you that I said yes you did then I said why wouldn't you ask me to file a police report? She said let me get my coworker who I don't even know his name he came over and said what's the problem I said nothing I'm trying to figure out what I need to do. He said it's a process you have to file a police report I said ok why wouldn't you guys tell me this from the beginning, he said it's up to you I said you mean to tell me that I have to make the police report and you don't? He says we already called the cops and made a police report, Now YOU HAVE TO MAKE A POLICE REPORT! I say that's gonna take hours it's Saturday this isn't an emergency he says well what do you want me to do? I say nothing man he says screaming at me LISTEN TO ME YOU FENING AHOLE I WORK AT NATIONAL CITY IT HAPPENS ALL TIME OUT THERE I'M TELLING YOU THE PROCESS. I say oh so you're used to this then he gets even more mad gets inches from my face and says screaming off the top of his lungs LISTEN! I look right into his eyes and say 'I'M LISTENING . Again Screaming at ME YOU DON'T COME HERE AND CAUSE A SEEN YOU DONT UNDERSTANT I EFFING HATE! THIS JOB!! At this point, my girlfriend gets in between us and says hey calm down. He says you need to figure out if you're missing any shit! And figure out what you're gonna do with your shit! I say REALLY! At this point, I tell my girlfriend Let go! We're leaving the whole way out this guy is Screaming! at the top of his lungs saying how he hates this job! And I needed to be careful. So we leave and from a block away I call the police, Dispatch asks me what happened I tell her all that's going on then I say ' They said they already made a police report and now I have to make one she says ok whats the storage aging I tell he its the Extra Space Storage 3085 Del Sol Blvd, San Diego, CA 92154 she says and they said that already made the bake in the report I said that what they told me. She says no there's no report of any break-ins from that place at all for today hmm. I say I'm sorry that's what they told me. She says ok we'll get an Officer out to you asap! I kid you not all I did was drive back to the storage a block away and the officer was already pulling up! WOW! 2 minutes they were there. I told the office what was going on we went in there and the door was already fixed with a new lock my girlfriend had unlocked it when we left so they were able to fix it and set a new lock in the time we were gone. the officer asked me if anything was missing I said I don't know I haven't checked he says ok I'm gonna give you an incident number and if you later find missing stuff call us. a week later I get another increase!
