I cancelled two account due to bad customer service experience and long call wait times. I was told the equipment on the first account would be picked up June 23, then 25 and June went by and the equipment sat there waiting for pick up. On the second account, I was told the equipment would be picked up July 2 then July 3 and then today but the equipment is still here. All this time, even after I cancelled both accounts, they are still billing me and charging my credit card. I tried to remove my credit card info but the account website would not let me. After several attempts someone finally answered after 45mins of waiting for the next available customer assistant. Then passed around phone lines for another hour. When finally got someone to cancel they offered huge discount for a year (proving how much they over charge normally). And if you rent, their cooler doesn't matter if you've rented it for five years when you return it they charge you an almost $60 reconditioning fee for it. Avoid this company like the plague. Trying to close and cancel my service took me almost a month from the time I tried to get hold of them to the time they actually finally picked up my equipment. They also told me my account was closed on one day then a different email said another day I couldn't do anything by phone or app because it wasn't working and if I called by phone, I would be on hold for at least five minutes then it would send me to a survey and hang up on me. after my equipment was picked up and returned. I don't recommend this company. The deliveries are inconsistent. Only the first order came as scheduled. They just keep sending notices that it is delayed a day that ended up 1-2 weeks delayed. I wasted so much time putting the bottles out and pulling them back (cause we live in an apartment). I had to call several times to cancel cause they have high call volume and tell you to call back. Then I got charged the equipment rental fee cause it went to the next month before I could get a hold of them. Then after paying a monthly rental fee for the machine, I have to pay $50 to service the machine once they pick it up. We used a different company in the past and never had these issues. I have been using this company for years back when they were still "Ozarka". The service was great and reliable. After they changed their name to "ReadyRefresh" things seemed to get worse for some reason. The first big issue I had was getting things added to my order and I wasn't able to reach anyone to get it resolved. Finally I happened to be home when the delivery guy came and I talked to him about it. It shouldn't take months to get an issue like that resolved. Now I am simply trying to find out why my credit card has a $6 charge that isn't on my invoice. There is no way to contact customer support reasonably. The chat bot is pure garbage. No good company would throw that thing at customers. You can find a web form to email support that they will say gets back to you in 2 days. Nope. It goes into a void. Now I am going to have to figure out how to cancel this service. I am tired of them treating me, a regular, paying customer like crap. Did not have any problems ordering for two deliveries. Tried to order again and was not able to log into my account. Called customer service for a solution they said they would monitor my account. Did not make any sense to me because just like how fire fighters watch a fire to put it out makes sense. Waited a couple days tried to do it again and same issues. Contacted customer service again and they said there was already an account with my email............ I told them ya I know that is my account I can not get into it. They proceeded to tell me they can't do anything because there is already an account with that email. This company forces you into auto pay by imposing frivilous late penalties of $20. They force auto pay so that the salesmen can bill for bottles dropped of whether needed or not. There have been times when we had 5 full bottles stacked up while we use only 1 per week. In addition, there have been instances where the bottles were dropped outside our office door outside of business hours leaving exposed to potential theft. I have submitted notice of termination of services in writing along with request to schedule retrieval of current empty and full bottles. No response. I have also requested a paymet link so that I will not incur additional late penalties while check is mailed through USPS. The link provided did not work. I have requested a working payment link with detailed instructions multiple times with no response. Although it is super convenient to have water delivered monthly (especially as I live on the 3rd floor of an apt complex), I canceled because the customer support is a HUGE pain to deal with and results for issues raised (most importantly, refunds) takes months, multiple phone calls, a stupid amount of explaining over and over to ever be resolved. They charged me for a service that was included in my membership and put the refund as a credit on my account with them (not my bank account), which would have been alright had they used that available credit to cover the cost of my future deliveries.....but they didnt. My bank was still being charged while that credit just sat on my ReadyRefresh account. It took 3 phone calls and multiple months to get it resolved. The reps couldn't explain why it was happening. I don't even think it's the reps fault. I don't think the company trains them well, if at all. Next, I received an email from them in July saying the prices were going up and realized I couldn't justify the cost anymore. I sent an email to cancel my account and was offered a $30 a month credit for 6 months to remain a customer. I'm lazy and this was an easy solution...so I thought. I should have known better. Instead, I accepted the offer and figured I'd just cancel in 6 months. The first month, I had to call because the credit wasn't applied. The second month, the credit was applied but my bill was double what it normally is. Why, you might ask?? I called and they explained the prices of the 5 gal water and the del fee DOUBLED...without them giving me any notice! The notice in July said the cost was going to go up $1.5 per 5 gallons, and the del fee was never mentioned....but now all of a sudden everything is doubled. Again, the rep couldn't explain why this happened. In the process of getting the cost adjusted, I realized they charged me another fee (for the dispenser) of $19.99 when it was always $2. I was told I'd be receiving a refund but who knows if or when it'll happen. When I never had any issues, having the service was super helpful. This company deploys several deceptive tactics that I don't like. First, after about 6 months of service they try to go up in price and you have to call over and over to discuss with a live person which does take considerable amount of time to do. Second, nowhere was it disclosed to me that once I terminated my service I was going to be charged a $50.00 reconditioning fee for the dirty, used cooler they gave me. This also doesnt set well with me since I was not informed about this upfront. Third, their customer service is horrible, its extremely difficult to get to a human being to get answers from. For these reasons, I regret using them and would not recommend them to others. No matter what time of day you call, you cannot get to a person due to "high call volume" and you are forwarded to their bot. And if they miss a delivery and don't let you know - no problem! They will deliver when they feel like it and not let you know of the change until you can do nothing about it. I have spent three weeks trying to cancel and have them pick up the NINE 5gal bottles plus the cooler with nothing happening. After eight years in business I have never dealt with a more crooked and horribly run business as this one. I had their service for years and It was ok at best but when I discontinued service it was impossible. I paid all remaining balance and returned the cooler myself in person. I still got another couple of recurring payments after that. Then called to make sure my payment information was deleted and confirmed everything was done. I then recently got a collections company saying I owe them hundreds of dollars after at least a year later. I called Readyrefresh, and they sent me to the collections people. Then they told me to call ReadyRefresh. I am one of many many this exact thing has happened to. They are now hurting my credit for no reason and they are a 0 out of 100 on customer service.
