After I deduced that it was a water heater issue, I started to get ridiculous quotes from some companies. I came across All Pro Water Heaters and was impressed by their reviews. I immediately wanted them to be the people to replace my water heater. I was able to reach Parker on Yelp and he gave me a reasonable quote. He also asked me to take pictures of the current water heater so he knows what they're working with. By looking at my pictures he pointed out some of the things that they might need for the installation so there was full transparency. I informed him that we think it is just the water heater that needs to be replaced but want someone to confirm there isn't anything else wrong and he assured that's something they'll verify. He was able to send someone the same day. The technician, Danny, informed me of his arrival time when he was 30 minutes away. When Danny was done with the water heater replacement, he provided necessary information to my tenant, then he called me to brief me on the completion of the install. My tenant complimented Danny for his professionalism and said he wants to use this company for any future needs. I was thoroughly satisfied with Parker and Danny. They were extremely communicative, professional, and quick to resolve the issue. So this review is about the service Chris provided. He was very responsive to messages and…read morereturning phone calls but did not do a great job in the small leak I had. One of the connector under my sink was leaking. He changed it but forgot to one small part inside the line (according to the other plumber who came at a later date to fix the problem). The problem was not obvious initially, but after 2-3 months the connector portion started leaking more and more. That was one reason for this review. Another reason is, I had problem with my shower temperature and suspect something is wrong with shower cartridges. However Chris told me he doesn't know how to take this shower handle off so he needs to cut off the handle to access inside and so I will have to replace the handle as well if I want the job done. Well, the plumber that fixed my sink issue had no problem taking off the handle. He did have to spend a bit more time figuring it out. There is some corrosion around the screw area but it was doable. So either Chris ability is not as good or he doesn't have the patience to figure it out. For that reason, the service he provided a few months back was not satisfactory

Throughout the process, he's called me privately and discreetly to provide updates, and I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism. Xavier was able to finally resolve the plumbing issue after hours working past the initial diagnosis, and included some additional services with the price I paid. The invoices came after the long weekend and I was able to get a discrepancy corrected immediately by the admin team. Overall, I'm happy I found another plumbing company to rely on. Thought about hiring "Plumbing Squad" but here's the State's position (ie, they were at least lazy, out of business, or too stoned to care about their license): "License is under suspension for the following reasons: License is under Contractors Bond Suspension. A contractor's bond may have been received by the Board but not yet processed. Once the bond is processed the suspension will be lifted retroactively to the effective date of the bond. Ask the contractor for proof of a contractor's bond and contact the bonding company to verify bond status." So I guess I'm not gonna hire them... but I'm guessing they'll present a defense. :-)

I take responsibility for agreeing to the work instead of declining and getting another quote, but I was uncomfortable with the way the pricing was handled. It left me feeling that I wasn't given enough information to make an informed decision before the technician arrived. The actual job took less than two hours, and I felt the final price was extremely high for the work performed. I would not use Prodigy again for two reasons: Lack of pricing transparency and what I consider a poor business practice. Extremely expensive pricing compared with what I expected for this type of repair.

He was straightforward on what he thought might be the issue and gave me a price- I did question the price only because snaking varies like crazy (and a bunch of other plumbing CO's messaged me). He asked to call just to tell me that yep- it does vary and the reasons you can get what you pay for. I've been burned by plumbing in the past so I agreed to have him over and he came in 25 min! After explaining the drain issue with my upper bath/shower and me snaking it myself with cheap snakes, he informed me I was snaking the wrong drain. Instructed me and guided me on how to clear my own drain! I cleared my drain! With his instruction and he didn't charge me!! I of course still paid 1/3 of the quote as it's only fair he came here and helped me where I think anyone else would have cleared it, charged the full amount and probably tried to sell me something I didn't need. Jacob is a really good human, an honest human and in this day/age that's hard to find.
