My mom has been transferred to a few facilities due to the care and she has been with Camden the longest and although it has been a ride, I am grateful for the handful of staff that are genuinely there to offer their kindness and care. I want to give many thanks to this team here at Camden since we are blessed to have a handful of caring individuals, granted there are always ones that are clearly only there for a paycheck. I want to emphasize specifically to Tina the charge nurse that has went beyond what she needed to for me and my mom. Very rare to find a Vietnamese nurse for one and one who is true. She is extremely knowledgeable, and over extends her time to care for not only my mom but all of her patients. She takes her time with all questions I have and makes sure I always leave knowing all the answers and leaves my mind at ease with my requests and care for my mom. I see her constantly on her feet running around long shifts serving the same to all of her patients making sure she takes care and acknowledges their needs. This woman is always working even on her days she tells me she was supposed to take off! So I know she's dependable and works her butt off. I truly appreciate her care and nurture for my mom and come to see her a family now.

I liked that it had recently been renovated and had an Updated PT Department compared to what I had seen. My mom recently stayed at Creekside 9 weeks for rehab and she is a complex case due to severe osteoarthritis. Upon arrival she could barely stand up and walk 50ft. - she required 2 therapist during her PT sessions at first. It wasn't long before she was walking further and progressing in both OT and PT. The therapy team is Great! - Angelique, Anisha, Kiko, and Natalie worked with mom often and made amazing progress with her. Aloha Randy! Watching the entire therapy team in action everyday was impressive as to the range of skills they demonstrate patient to patient. Mom is home now walking around the house and outside. This was the primary goal for her being at Creekside. The CNA's are truly Special! Most of them treated my mom very well and kept her clean and if she needed something they took care of it. She had a couple favorites I would like to mention for well deserved recognition - Sauli - Tirhas - Carolina - Jonjie - Thank You for everything you did for my mom!! I really Appreciate YOU! Big Shout Out to RN's Sheri and Hafsa for getting mom her pain meds On Time! The kitchen Boss - Nakea checked in with mom to see if she wanted the menu item for the day or an alternative for Dinner - Very Nice! Annie is Awesome! She was moms Case Manager - All of the issues I brought to her attention were resolved quickly and professionally. I completely trusted her and valued her advise when needed. Emil and Annie make a Great Team and seem to run the place very well. Emil was moms Care Coordinator - Very Hard Working and easy to work with. We had weekly meetings regarding important details about mom's care. My mom had a private room during her stay at Creekside and I was with her most of the time to keep her company. I felt comfortable leaving her there alone at night. Her only complaints were the room was cold and the food not so good but we brought in outside food often. As far as Nursing Facilities go Creekside does a Good Job and I would let them take care of my Mom again. Thanks Again Creekside! Vince M.

Leaving a one star review only because I can't leave a zero…read more We had a horrible experience at Woodlands when bringing my grandpa here for rehab after his 3 month hospital visit. We were deciding between multiple options for rehab, and ultimately picked Woodlands because of the amazing reviews it had. However, there was not a singular positive experience that I could share. My grandpa got released from Good Samaritan Hospital with a strict diet plan and placed into rehab to gain his strength back. The first night the staff talked to us for over an hour asking questions about diet, exercise, medication and etc. We explained how he is strictly on a thick liquid, sugar free and small piece/ground food diet and must be monitored when eating due to his HIGH risk of aspiration. We come to check on him the next morning and see a plate of whole pasta pieces, chunks of honeydew and orange juice placed in front of him, which he was eating alone. Our over an hour conversation was clearly a waste of time as the staff did not listen to us at all. We experienced this situation multiple times. Helen would call multiple times, not even an hour apart, asking what his diet consists of, to not even listen and serve him whatever they had that day. The nurses would take my grandpa out in his wheelchair to stroll around, and one night as we were all visiting, one of the nurses brought him back to his room and we realized how he was disconnected from his oxygen tank. My grandpa went 10 minutes without an outside oxygen source and the nurses only came to help after we had to scurry looking for them, as they clearly did not realize themselves. My grandpa's breathing started to sound crackly and raspy, making us think he aspirated again. As we urgently requested to Helen for a doctor to come and check on him, she kept telling us how the doctor is busy but on his way for about an hour. She then proceeded to tell us how calling 911 might be a better idea. As we rushed him to the ER, we were told he aspirated and had to stay in the hospital again for another 2 weeks on antibiotics in order to heal. Woodlands caused my grandpa to go back to square one, ruining all the progress he made in the hospital. It's hard to see how so many people had good experiences at this rehab center, when for my grandpa it only caused him to get worse. I truly wish we did not bring him here in the first place, as it only weakened and damaged my grandpa further. It's sad to see nurses not care about an elders well being, and not be more prompt in this environment.

The nursing staff was there when needed and provided medication timely Administration and social work ensured I had what I needed at home when I was released and gave me some resources as well moving forward By far the stand out for me was the therapy department. They pushed me but not too much just motivating enough with new challenges daily. They always got me up and into therapy every week day - usually didn't have therapy on weekends they were also so caring and seemed truly invested in my recovery The food wasn't for me but that's just my personal taste. Woodlands is large with amenities but definitely run like a small nursing facility and very family feeling. Having had to be in other SNFs I am very aware of how important it is to have that feel and staff support. Many don't do the things they claim but woodlands does the therapy to get you moving again and gets you your meds on time and ensures you get move so as to avoid pressure sores and that sounds like a low bar but it is vital and isn't always the case They have layers of support with cnas available when needed, lvns, and nurses so your needs don't get missed. I'm sure they could use more staff but as a patient I never felt like they were too busy for me

She was hospitalized for 9 days for a total of 17 days in bed. We were unsure if she'd be able to walk again and had been turned down by 3 other care homes. Exasperated, tired, frustrated and losing hope, I made a call to Apria where a very caring woman named Felicia could feel everything I was going through by my voice. She said she knew someone who may be able to help and she passed my number to Mary. Mary left THE most caring, concerned and sincere voice message I think I've ever received. When we finally talked, she put me and my husband at ease SO quick. She really understood what we were going through and pulled us out of the quagmire we were in. She suggested a wonderful place that my mom is doing VERY well at. Mary is THE REAL DEAL and she helps til the end including keeping in contact well after the loved one is placed. She went above and beyond and we are SO happy we were led to her! She deserves the highest commendations. The world needs more people like her.

Upon moving in we soon realized we had made a huge mistake. It was like 24/7 shut down. Harassment/bullying/intimidation ( the highest level) by the so called caregivers- A nightmare 24/7 entry to your Apt. Night/day. I would like to mention Mary made big money representing us- as these Senior advisors make big money on us old folks -She never was available or returned phone calls during the process-but again grabbed her big kick back fee. My suggestion to potential seniors seeking assisted living communities - before moving in check out their faculty number and cross reference with the CCDS state social services on line- you will see all their violations/complaints. Summary- Placement/Senior Advisors get paid from the Community you select BIG $$$$$ . Do your own research before moving in. Please listen to complaints your family member/ friends share with you in living these communities - They are real and families need to be aggressive in filing complaints with the state.

To start with on the very first day that we arrived she was assigned a bed that was not next to a window. That day I asked for a bed next to a window and within half an hour, the room was found, and my mother was transferred. Kudos to the social services and director's office for their diligence and dedication to ensure the patient's happiness. The true angels of this hospital are the nursing assistants who help the patient in every aspect of daily living. They are there in the morning with a smile on their face to clean the patients up if at night they have had an accident in bed. They do the job with kindness and compassion respecting the patient's dignity, and realizing that they might be feeling embarrassed at the situation. These angels bring the breakfast, and are there to shower the patients with kindness and care. They perform innumerable daily requests from the patients with care and a smile. Kudos to all of them. I wish I could remember everyone's name that has served my mother with such care and kindness. I dare not name anyone as I don't want to leave any of them out . THEY ARE ALL WONDERFUL. Thank you to all the PT and OT professionals who work so diligently to help their patients to improve and to eventually get home. Noah, Ashley, Vincent, Joy and many many others. In every circumstance, I have been so appreciative of the care my parents received at Westgate. Because of the care they showed to my father before his passing, I felt completely at ease entrusting my mom's care to them when the time came. The director, Aidah, knows every detail of what goes into each resident's care, and somehow also manages to remember little details about their loved ones too! She retained many of the same people even through Covid, so in some cases the same people who cared for my dad then are caring for my mom now! This speaks to the atmosphere and oversight at the facility. My mom had more complex needs than my dad, and without Angie I could never have put together all the pieces together to ensure those needs could be met. Lead nurse Jessica and her team let me know of every change to mom's health. And Clara in Activities is one of my mom's favorite people, never failing to make her smile. I could go on listing the various staff, but I say all this to say, that Westgate helps you to navigate the care your loved ones need in the least stressful way possible. Deciding to place a loved one in a care facility is never easy, but I'm so glad to partner with Westgate in doing so.
