I moved my Mother here Sep 1st and although it's always hard to see your parent being taken care of…read moreby someone else, I was so thankful that she was at this facility as they did a great job caring for her. I am very thankful to Helen, Dr Chiong, Luz, Sarah, Cielito and Anthony. They did a great job answering all of our questions and dealing with all of our concerns promptly and professionally. They truly made a great effort to make my Mother and us Feel as comfortable as possible. I know from first hand experience that it's extremely difficult to find a facility that cares.

Terrible nursing home. They kept saying that it's a skilled nursing facility. But it has long-term…read morecare for as well, therefore it is still considered a nursing home. 3 Elders would share 1 room with 1 toilet / bathroom here. It smells at this nursing home. Social worker who works here is unlicensed since California Law would require social workers to have a licensed social worker if the facility has 150 beds or more, in which this facility doesn't have. Without a license it's hard to keep the social worker accountable. Social worker here threatened us with laws, yet she herself wasn't licensed and our complaint to the California Department of Public Health for their wrongful actions caused the facility to receive a ticket. The social worker and management here tried to keep our loved one here longer than intended to continue to bill the insurance which was shady. Once Medicare started to not pay as much any more for short term care during the pandemic, then we find it that the social worker kept pressuring us to get our loved one out. The social worker here kept interrogating us if our loved one had 24 / 7 care when the nursing facility here had patients who became infected with Covid and passed and they themselves had elders who had falls within the facility. The owner had both a long term and a short term care facility. Their ultimate goal is to find a way to bill the patient's insurance to the max. or sense of actual care or compassion. Don't keep your loved one here. We had financial elder abuse and emotional elder abuse incidents with them. Luz was an unlicensed social worker and the most abusive and unprofessional social worker I've seen in my life. Let alone she has a thick accent. She acts like she's some sort of law enforcement officer when she wasn't even licensed, and her intent was to keep the elder at the facility longer to keep billing their insurance. She doesn't let the elder get the COVID booster. She acts like you don't have the right to talk to her. The most bit...y, ugly, non-compassionate. and most lazy social worker I've ever seen. Don't be afraid to argue against her. I am pretty sure many have verbally fought back against her. She should go to h..l for being abusive towards family and elders.

I'm very disappointed with the care my mom has received at this rehabilitation nursing facility…read more I recently bought my mom several brand new sets of clothes so she could feel comfortable during her stay. Shortly after that, the staff moved her to another room. When I visited again, I noticed she had been wearing the same hospital gown for almost two weeks. When I checked her closet, her old clothes were relocated with her to the new room but all the new clothes I had purchased for her were missing. I asked one of the CNAs about it and was told they don't keep track of patients' clothing and that if the clothes don't have a name written on them, it's basically "free for all." This was shocking to hear. What's even more concerning is that the older clothes already in my mom's closet didn't have names on them either, yet those were still there. It makes me question what happened to the new items. Beyond the missing belongings, I'm also concerned about her comfort and care. She was placed on a very thin mattress (about 2 inches) with minimal blankets, which doesn't seem appropriate for someone recovering in a rehab facility. One CNA even complained to me that my mom scratches them during showers. However, when I asked my mom about it, she told me they scrub her so hard that it hurts when they bathe her. Hearing that from your own parent is extremely upsetting. Families trust these facilities to care for their loved ones with dignity and respect. Between the missing clothing, lack of accountability, and concerns about how my mom is being treated during basic care, my trust in this place has been seriously shaken. There are people who stayed there, sitting in wheelchairs in the hallway screaming for help and yelling at each other. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves oversight, accountability, and compassion in patient care.

I will not give a 4 start review. But maybe 2 . Staff should be aware of…read more patients. They lack of help at this facility. Also should return calls.

From the moment she arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. They treated her with so much patience and respect, which meant everything to our family. She was there for an extended period, and throughout her stay, we consistently saw how dedicated the team was--not just to her physical recovery, but to her overall well-being. The environment felt supportive, clean, and genuinely caring, which made a difficult time so much easier for all of us. Even after her stay, she continues to receive amazing care, and it's clear that the impact of her time there has been lasting and positive. We are so grateful for the compassion and effort shown by everyone at this facility. Thank you for going above and beyond! We truly appreciate everything you've done for our family

She also developed bed sores and contracted RSV during her stay at Cedar Crest, where we never saw the doctor personally, as well as two separate nurses almost double dosing her dayquil dose had I not called them out (the earlier nurse did not log in her initial dose). Most nurses were impatient with my mom. It was hard to watch, and still to this day traumatic to remember. We had submitted our complaints, but to their advantage we were grieving her death too much to get into pressing charges of carelessness and neglect. Do. Not. Come. Here.

Under PT Xu, Ben, Nurse Annie, and OT Debbie's professional guidance and instruction, my older family member has already been making remarkable progress and now can throw/kick balls/balloons, do sit-to-stands, sing & speak loudly, brush teeth, comb hair, and spends most of the day mentally & physically stimulated & engaged in activities rather than sleeping on the bed. Our older family member's progress would not have been possible without their expertise, support, and perseverance. Nurse Annie is incredibly compassionate, smart, and detail-oriented & improved our family member's lung function and bedsore treatment/prevention. Debbie & Ben are diligent and creative with their PT/OT approaches, tailoring it to each older adult's interests and abilities. Stephanie is meticulous in cleansing and taught us all sorts of techniques to more feasibly do regular cleanings. We are grateful for amazing and experienced healthcare personnel like Dr. Xu, Ben, Debbie, Stephanie, and Nurse Annie who go the extra mile to take care of their patients.
