I'm updating my original 1-star review based on what eventually happened…read more My phone experience with Apria was very poor. I was repeatedly told over the phone that I would need to go to the South San Francisco location, and the guidance I received in multiple phone calls was inconsistent and unhelpful. However, my in-person experience at the Santa Clara office (which is much closer to my home) was a completely different story. Someone (Kader, If I remember the name correctly) at the Santa Clara office took the time to actually help. While they were not able to directly provide the compliance report I was asking for, they: - Provided me with the SD card -Clearly explained what needed to be done - Sent instructions that allowed me to download one full year of CPAP compliance data I was able to take that data to my doctor, which helped move my care forward. The contrast between phone support and in-person support was stark. Phone support was frustrating and misleading, but the Santa Clara office staff were helpful, patient, and practical. Because of that in-person help, I'm revising this to 4 stars. Apria would benefit greatly from aligning phone support quality with the level of service provided by their local offices.

She only needed it for a few nights, so after she was done with the therapy I called Apria for them to pick it up. Then the headaches started. I got one individual on the line that verified our information and they told me they would send a driver to pick it up that day.. and of course that was a lie. Two days went by and I called back again. I got another individual on the line and I asked what the status of the pick up was.. and of course she had no idea what I was talking about and she couldn't find any information in their system. I asked for a call back when she was able to find my information and get this blanket scheduled to be picked up. No call. I have called back 10 times after that and got the run around - 'oh I can't find your information, let me call you back after further digging' was the most common response and every once in a while 'I have found your information and got a pick up scheduled' - and surprise surprise that second prompt was a complete lie. I have even asked to speak to a manager about this after I got a 'oh I can't find your information' response. And of course they couldn't find my info either and they asked me to put on hold so they can do some further investigation. I asked for a call back instead.. nothing. Not even an end of day call saying, 'hey still looking into this for you'. At this point over 3 weeks have gone by and no success. Then I called back again and got this young man that immediately found my information and saw that I called in so many times regarding this that he put in a 'ticket' for a rushed pick up; he was quite confident it would be picked up that day. That was this last Wednesday and of course, nothing. I called back yesterday, Thursday and they said it would be picked up that day and it was assigned a driver but they didn't have a time and that it can be picked up as late as 11PM! And I'm sure if you're still reading this review you probably knew what happened - no pick up! I called back the next day and the operator was wondering why it wasn't picked up the day before, so she put in another rushed ticket to get it picked up. About an hour after that call it was FINALLY picked up. It doesn't surprise me that there are so many negative, 1 star reviews, with this company - I am surprised such a stellar healthcare company, like Kaiser, would choose these incompetent idiots. Apria,if you're reading this: it really isn't that hard: when someone calls in write NOTES in your CRM, follow up with your clients if you don't know the answer, and UNDER promise and OVER deliver. I've seen that this bili blanket is around $3k or more - you aren't dealing with tinker toys - you're dealing with life saving, medical equipment! Get your crap together!!!

All Seasons Homecare was highly recommended to me by my attorney so I gave them a call. I talked with the owner, Lou Ann. She explained how everything worked and answered all of my questions. I knew after talking to her that my mother-in-law would be in good hands. This place is top notch and so professional. I used All Seasons for 11 days. In that time, all the caregivers showed up on time and gave excellent care to my mother-in-law. At the end of each shift, the caregiver would write up a summary of their visit online, letting me know how my mother-in-law was doing and how the visit went. These notes were very insightful. I appreciate how if there are any problems or questions you can contact Honor, the company All Seasons partners with, 24 hours a day. Very reassuring. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend All Seasons/Honor. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely!!!! When you need homecare done right, this is the place to contact! Thanks Lou Ann, Christina, and all the excellent caregivers. You guys are the best!!!

We were given very short notice that mom was going to be released but Lou Ann and Christina met with us and mom to get better acquainted with her and her needs. Shortly after mom got home she had a virtual meeting with a therapist and with no way to conduct this meeting, Christina drove to the home to personally assist with the process. Above and beyond! An urgent staffing issue arose late on a Sunday evening while I was sitting in an airport so I called the 24 hour service number and within minutes I received a call back that the issue was resolved, another example of All Season's commitment to provide the best possible care to their clients and their families. All of the Health Care Professionals assigned to help mom have been very helpful, patient and kind (and mom can be a handful at times:) ) I also very much appreciate the fact that I receive daily reports once the homecare visit is complete that summarizes the visit. Living out of state this is beyond helpful. After reading the reports and finding out about doctor visits or therapist visits that occurred I am able to contact mom and discuss the visit, etc. Without hesitation I would recommend this organization for anyone who is in need of homecare services. The entire organization from Lou Ann and Christina to the personnel answering the 24 hour "hotline" is in my mind, without a doubt, the best homecare service available. Living out of state I am unable to oversee mom's care on a daily basis, but, in my opinion, All Season's professionalism coupled with their compassion reassures me that mom is receiving the next best thing to a family member being there

The care-giver came a couple times a week to take my mother-in-law on walks and to run errands, make lunch, and engage her in conversation as she can no longer drive by herself, has trouble getting around on her own, and has some speech troubles. As we began a 2-month remodel, we took a break from services. I called a couple weeks ago to restart care, and the past caregiver was no longer with the service. I gave our information to Caitlin again, and waited to hear back. After several days, I called again. They asked me all the same questions, and I had to re-give all our information, as if I had never called initially. We scheduled a caregiver to come out for three hours. When she arrived, the first thing she said (before introducing herself) was "Sorry, I might smell. I just biked here." There was definitely a break in communication, as this person could not take my mother-in-law to run errands on her bicycle, and didn't even have a driver's license to drive one of our cars. I immediately called Right at Home, and told the caregiver she could leave. I have not received a call back since this happened, almost a week ago. Luckily we've found another local service that has been very responsive and listens to our needs.

We had an outstanding experience with Family Matters, and I wanted to share this review because…read morethis is what exemplary care should look like. My 75-year-old mother underwent necessary brain surgery three weeks ago. Three days before surgery, she had a ground-level fall, tore her rotator cuff, and sustained a small fracture. Because the surgery could not be deferred, she proceeded as planned but required significant care at home afterward. She had been fully independent, and although she lives with my father, the caregiving needs were beyond his comfort level. I was able to help for a few days after her discharge, but it was clear they would need additional support for her to remain safely at home. The hospital nurses were wonderful, but my mom needed assistance even with basic tasks like repositioning in bed and using the restroom, as her left arm was immobilized. Our hospital care coordinator connected us with Amy, the client care manager for Family Matters, who met us at home right away. She performed a thorough evaluation and took the time to understand my parents' needs and preferences. Almost immediately, we were connected with KJ, the Director of Operations, who coordinated the caregiving schedule. She ensured an excellent match with caregivers and that coverage was consistent and reliable. Communication was seamless--KJ was always responsive and proactive with updates, and we never felt out of touch. My mom especially wanted to recognize her primary daytime caregiver, Maria. Maria was attentive, warm, and incredibly experienced, with over 20 years in caregiving. She is also an excellent cook and was especially skilled in helping my mom with more vulnerable tasks like showering. The other caregivers who supported nights and weekends were also wonderful. The team clearly put thought and care into matching personalities and backgrounds, which made a meaningful difference. Over the following weeks, my mom gradually regained her independence, and we were able to scale back care smoothly. The team made adjustments easy and seamless. We would absolutely use Family Matters again. This was our first experience with a caregiving service, and we were initially apprehensive, but they made the entire process easy, supportive, and reassuring. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

Even more challenging is finding caregivers you can truly trust during such a vulnerable stage of life. A very special thank you to Family Matters, and my father's caregiver, Sade. He is under hospice care with advanced dementia, and can barely speak. Sade is consistently patient, and kind, and gives me complete peace of mind whenever she's caring for him. Most importantly, she engages with him and makes him feel seen. This is in sharp contrast to other caregivers we've experienced who are often on their phones and treat him as if he's invisible. I'm also especially grateful for KJ who manages the caregivers and scheduling. While other agencies haven't taken the time to meet my father or me in person, KJ made it a priority to get hands-on training to fully understand my father's caregiving needs. Because of this, she's been able to step in to provide training and support which is a huge godsend given my limited bandwidth. She even proactively revised the caregiving shift note template to make it clearer and more helpful for our caregiving team. Family Matters has truly exceeded our expectations because they understand the real meaning of caregiving. On top of that, their participation in the Veterans Assistance Program, which requires stricter qualifications provides an added layer of confidence and experience.

I was very impressed the variety of home care services offered with reasonable rates and how easy it was to get started. The staff support carried my belongings from the hospital, drive me to my house and assisted me to my room. I was able to rest post surgery and the staff was very professional, friendly, organized, eager and took lead to help me with houses tasks such as help with meal prep for a few days and other chores I was not able to do.
