The process : Well they were very friendly over the phone and were quick to reply back with price quotes through emails and we were able to work out a deal to keep us in the budget and They can also included a Jenga puzzle to take as a memento for the entire team, with a slight increase in the price. Once we got there Anna took over and explained us all the rules and regulation and got us going quickly. Anna was very friendly and sociable. About the rooms : There were 3 different types of escape adventures: 1) the graveyard - Fitting about 10+ people, so this was the biggest room they had. 2) airport explosion - Fitting about 6 people and this was the hardest room. 3) the antidote - Fitting about 6 people I am not going to describe the room, not spoil you fun. They also have some signs which you can take pictures with as any other escape room places. Wear summery clothes as it can get a bit hot in the rooms. So don't wear any sweaters and jackets. They also have lockers there to put all your belonging in as you are not allowed to take your phone in. Getting there was a bit tricky so follow: "There are 2 entrances to the plaza, one around the back on Britannia Road East and the other on Dixie Road itself. You will need to come into the main building- Dixie Airport Centre, facing Dixie Road and take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, turn left, and all the way down the corridors." Overall, Great fun, with very awesome friendly service! Everyone was happy and had fun in their rooms.

There were 3 different types of escape adventures: 1) the graveyard, 2) airport explosion and 3) the antidote (ranked from easiest to hardest, based on overall "success" or completion rate). I chose the antidote, of course, not knowing that it was going to be the hardest of them all. My boyfriend and I almost solved our scenario...not bad for first-timers ;). haha. Without spoiling the adventure, keep your eyes open and definitely work with someone who is patient but also co-operative! The rooms are quite small, a lot more so than I had anticipated, but part of that is attributed to the lack of building space. Wear comfortable or looser clothing, as some of the escape rooms can be very hot. Overall, I definitely would consider going back. Just an FYI - they offer discounted rates for those who go back beyond a 1st experience. One thing I really liked about this company is that all the people who worked for it were very sociable. We arrived much earlier than our anticipated start time, but we sat in the room with the workers who also took the time to get to know their clientele - A+. Advice to those who are driving: the facility is located at 1515 Britannia Road E. It is across the street from the Scotiabank and the Burger King. THERE IS NO BUSINESS SIGN for this business on the OUTSIDE of the building. I probably drove around like 3 times around the building before I realized that (duh) and called the facility. You will need to go into the building and to the second floor, heading LEFT when you get out of the elevator and walking straight down.

At 12:30 am on a Friday night, we (a group of six) started talking about escape rooms that we've…read moretried. At 12:35 am, we started calling random escape rooms to figure out if they could get us in. Perplexity said they had rooms available if we were to show up right then. So our decision to try out Perplexity Escape Games was somewhat impromptu. And it turned out to be one of the most fun nights I've had in recent memory (that didn't require medications/ointments the next day). I've done escape rooms before, but Perplexity set the bar high and I'm pretty sure other escape rooms won't seem nearly as fun now: - Firstly, Perplexity's escape scenarios aren't limited to one room. With our choice, there were two rooms that we had to work our way through. And there were a lot of clues. - Secondly, some of the rooms incorporate jump scares. So not only do you have to get out of a room in a set amount of time, you have to deal with the anxiety of trying not to wet yourself at random moments. - Thirdly, there are some great props that help add to the creepy (or outright scary) ambiance. All of these aspects result in a much more immersive experience than other escape rooms I've seen (at least where I'm from, I can't speak for other escape rooms in the GTA). The guys who got us ready for the room were very helpful, and even accommodating to someone in our party who struggles a little with being trapped in smaller spaces. I appreciated that they were considerate of our concerns. The guy who took care of the paperwork upfront offered us a discount (around 10-20% or so, I don't remember) for checking in on Facebook and tagging everyone who was there. And it looks like Yelp check-ins get you similar discounts as well. All told, I spent $33.99 USD for two people, which according to Google comes to approximately $44 CAD. I've paid more for crappier escape rooms. Perplexity was worth every dollar spent. I look forward to the next time I'm in town so that we can try another room.

The Puzzles We ended up doing two because we had such a good time. We did the Amun Ra room and the Wilshire puzzle. They were engaging and well thought out and had us working together to communicate our findings and surroundings. The production of each room and immersiveness were great. Sometimes the puzzles didn't work PERFECTLY, but the staff were quick to correct it if things didn't work well which was rare The Service The staff were fantastic . All were friendly and wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible. The team was clear with the rules and expectations of each room. Follow the rules and you will have fun. The Value It's just under $40 for each person playing and each room with the minimum of 4 participants is a private booking. I really enjoyed this as I got to work with people I knew and could work off their energies as well. It's worth the money and it's time and money well spent. I'm looking forward to trying the Steampunk room as well as the upcoming Microsoft HoloLens room. I would 100% recommend this place and can't wait to go again. I can't recommend it enough!

None of the mechanisms work and the staff don't pay attention to manually start them either. So basically you'll solve a problem and wait around and wonder for 20 mins why nothings moving even if you got it right from the start. Then you have to ask for a clue (which they won't give, it'll just be a condescending phrase that tells you to do what you've already been doing.) then after fighting with them for five min they'll realize it's their fault and manually start it, wasting not just our time but our money. 30 dollars a person is just ridiculous for what this is. If you want more fun lock yourself in a dark closet for 30 min and try to get out, you'll probably feel more satisfied anyways. I will say that we did ignore all of the red flags 1. The bad reviews online 2. The two groups that came out super pissed off before us fighting for refunds cause nothing worked for them 3. How the place looked So kinda on us but... Did this for group bonding and I will say we did bond pretty well over how terrible this was and how much we got scammed, so maybe if you want team bonding then this works for you idk? Definitely tests your teams patience....

So many rooms to go through that it made the experience well worth it. My only criticism would be the staff. We didn't escape the room and only had one section left to get through. When the staff came in telling us we were out of time, the normal procedure would be to walk us through what we had left. Instead, the guy said he was unable to finish a walk through because the next group had arrived. It seemed that he was unwilling to walk us through the remaining aspects because if he did, then he'd have to reset all the puzzles... I've been to quite a few escape room locations and never has this happened before, even if the next group had arrived.. Overall the Osaka High room was pretty cool, but I only wish I knew how it ended.....
