    wallboard as shower floor
    MikeandGayle P.

This is a long story, but I wanted to give a clear picture of the poor installation quality and poor longevity of our Re-Bath shower: In 2016, the previous owners of our home had remodeled the master bathroom shower with plastic panels that looked like white tile (We didn't know it was Re-Bath until later). The remodel included replacing the shower floor with a white plastic floor, too. We purchased the home almost 3 years ago, and immediately noticed that the shower floor didn't feel right - it had no support near the drain, so the floor flexed a lot when you stepped near that area. Based on the appearance, I figured some unlicensed Florida "handyman" did a lousy job and we would have to replace this if it failed. Fast forward 2 years, and I noticed the walls outside of the shower had some water damage. I couldn't tell if this was a shower pan leak or damage from the fact that the door didn't seal when closed, but either way, I knew I would have to make repairs soon. Then, shortly after that, the plastic floor developed a crack in the area that had no support under it, so it was time to replace the damaged floor and see what was going on. I cut out the plastic floor (quite easy to cut with a box cutter) and noticed 4 big problems: 1) all of the edges showed some degree of water damage where the floor connected to the wall, 2) the shower drain was not piped to connect it to the drain line - instead, there was just A LOT of caulk filling in the gap in the floor between drain and the sewer pipe below, 3) the shower 'pan' was not an actual lined, cement pan, but instead was just a sheet of cement wall board glued to the cement slab underneath, and 4) there was NO waterproofing at all - no liner, no red guard or similar...nothing to prevent water from exfiltrating in the event of a leak. Upon discovering the issues noted above, we knew we had to completely demolish what was there and get a shower professionally installed. While removing the plastic fake tile panels, I discovered a couple of Re-Bath stickers on the back. This prompted me to contact Re-Bath about this failed installation. Their answers were: 1) we only warranty work to original owner, 2) that's how we used to do the piping, but we don't do it that way any more (hmmm...wonder why?), and 3) the previous owner should have told them that there was a problem (of course, the problem was hidden under the plastic floor, so there was no way to know what was going on until it was removed!). We've since had a plumber install a proper, waterproof pan and connect the plumbing correctly. While here, he noted that the previous installation was leaking considerably around the caulked drain into the slab and ground underneath and he had never seen such a poor job of shower floor installation. We are now installing a tile and glass shower that won't leak, should last many years, all at a price much lower than Re-Bath reportedly charged for this failed installation.

    DuraBath "Italian Marble"

I recently ordered a tub to shower conversion and chose their DuraBath (acrylic) product in "Italian Marble". The sample was a perfectly neutral white with taupe marbling that would coordinate with my granite countertop and paint color. During installation, I noticed that the product color was actually pale blue. The installer suggested that it was just the lighting and stated that the product is not supposed to be blue. The recessed caddy is the white color that I selected, but the walls are blue and clash with my countertop. Additionally, the window trim was installed unevenly and is not level horizontally. It is intended to have a slight downward slope for drainage, but it should be level horizontally. It is crowned! Re-Bath responded to my complaint about the product saying that the manufacturer reports that the color can appear blue in certain light. I asked why the caddy is exactly what I expected but the walls are not. Their response was that different material runs can have a different appearance. If that is true, then their samples should be represented as "possibilities" as opposed to the actual color. I'm not at all satisfied with the color of the product and upset about the window ledge. I was sold on the beauty of the product as well as the stability of the company and warranty. I feel that their sales samples are misleading.

I can not recommend this company more. they are coordinated, honest and the work was exemplary from the initial consultation and the design team helping us decide on colors, floors, vanity and accessories the process was seamless and productive. then the install team came to actually do the work. new floors, new tub, new vanity, new toilet and all the demo. they were in and out in 4 days. 4 DAYS. so easy so kind and so efficient. we love our new bathroom. cheers to the whole team and especially Bryan Josh and desean for the great work.

Jason, my assigned installer, was awesome. He is precise & has magical hands in his profession. Jason was my assigned installer & he did a great job. Update: just did a walk thru & we noticed some things that needed corrected & Jason fixed it. I admit that I am a perfectionist & realized that everything is not going to go perfectly smooth & I admit that I stressed myself out worrying too much. I am upgrading my review to 4 stars because these guys understood my concerns & were professional the whole time.

My husband and I had an L shaped, walk 8n shower installed. And Alfonzo was part of the crew. Alfonso was super quiet, produc5ive and professional. It was very comforting with him inside of our home. We had no sense of worry. He remained busy the entire time he was here with us. Keeping his work area very clean. I'm very please with his clean everything was and the work area was kept nea5 and clean. He didn't talk much, but still communicated well and kept of informed when it mattered.

I needed some parts for a faucet that I am rebuilding, and this was the only place that I knew of that might have what I needed. I am not an expert in rebuilding faucets or the parts but thankfully, these people are! I came in and had my old parts with me, and they knew exactly where to go and what to get to fix what I needed. I had my parts in no time and some guidance on how to perform the repair. It is almost impossible to come in here for the parts section and not be lured into the show room. In fact, it's a big open gateway from the parts area to the show room and so it's kind of natural to wander into there. When I did that was when I was met by a sales person named, Mariam. I have a kitchen faucet situation where the faucet that is in my kitchen that needs to be replaced is kind of an old-school faucet, and I have had difficulty finding options to replace it and yet I want to replace it with something similar because of the holes that are drilled in my granite countertops. Mariam was quick to find me solutions and even had a few different options that I can go with. She was knowledgeable and helpful and very pleasant to work with. I have not yet fully decided what I'm going to do, so I held back from ordering one on this particular visit, but I will not hesitate to come back either for the parts to rebuild my old one like I am doing with the bathroom faucet or buy a entire new faucet. Either way, these are my new go to folks for faucets and faucet repairs. Review #2166

I was very pleased to find Legacy Plumbing who clearly had the best reviews for plumbing services in the Dallas area. I asked them to send their top-notch expert technician, and I was very fortunate that they sent Jason and his excellent assistant (Ricardo) to my home the next day. They carefully removed (and disposed of) my old water heater and did a beautiful job of installing the new one (it was made by A.O. Smith Corporation). The installation job required several hours but it was clearly done properly. During the entire installation process, Jason kept me well informed. I highly recommend Legacy Plumbing for any plumbing or water heater installation needs. This is a very professional company what goes out of its way to provide exceptional customer service. There was no sales pitch and no pressure. As I have always said, selecting a reputable company and high-quality equipment is important, but having it installed properly by a team of highly knowledgeable experts is the most important aspect of the job. So many types of machines that I ever even knew existed!! Actually it may be too much inventory selection because there are sooo many types of machines that it took me over 3 hours of shopping until I found the perfect machine for my home. I got the WMF 800, it is a residential/home super automatic espresso machine. The "brew group" (internal components) are exactly the same as the commercial grade machine models (WMF 1300, 1400 & 2000S)!! So this machine can handle as much volume as a Cafe quality machine... It has huge power but it sleek & compact for my home:) I even got to sample how it makes coffee because they had a floor model on display and they gave me several free cappuccinos to sample! More caffeine than I needed today but it was super fun;) They also have a full service repair department and they keep a full stock of replacement parts inventory so you never have to wait for parts if you need service. If you do want to buy a machine, definitely ask for Richard! He is a stalky bald guy so you will know him when you see him... He has a dry sense of humor, so u might like it or hate it... Either way he knows his stuff. He is very direct, so just tell him what you want and he will point you in the right direction. but don't expect a lot of small talk lol;) He is the owner so you can try to negotiate a lower price off the displayed prices... He will probably grumble a lot, but I bought a lot of stuff so he took a percentage discount off the total price as a package deal. Also make sure you get some Marcuzzi Espresso beans, they made the best tasting espresso I have ever tasted. It is a perfect blend of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta coffee beans that have ben roasted "Italian Style" (so the are not greasy) to an Espresso Roast darkness. I am a very finicky espresso connoisseur and I like to have a double short espresso with no sugar so it has to be perfect when I make it. With the combination of my new WMF machine and the Marcuzzi beans I can make an espresso with the thickest & best golden brown Crema that I every have seen.... The creme will last for over 60 seconds. And the taste is amazing, soooo smooth never bitter!!!!! Good luck! PS- Don't worry if you don't understand any of the verbiage I just used because once you come in here you will be educated immediately!! They should call this place "Espresso University!!"

(my first mistake) Of course, those meetings to discuss my priorities and reduce the budget, never came. My dream wasn't realized as they either vetoed, forgot or bumbled each feature of my design. Examples: I have a wavy wall, it took them days to correct the paint throughout the house, they flat refused to match my craftsman trim, they forgot my vented kitchen hood, vetoed my transom (they don't even know what that is), failed plumbing inspection three times and nearly blew up my house. (I'm not embellishing) Had to install the cabinets twice (ordered incorrectly and hung at the wrong height), the rough plumbing is so poorly done that the knobs don't sit right and turn lop-sided; failed to contain the renovation dust which covered even stuff inside cabinets and drawers throughout the house. The cleaning crew came multiple times and I still had to hire my own at a cost of $360, to get all the ceiling fans, fixtures, floors, etc. finally clear of dust and paint splatters. They scratched my hardwoods and damaged my stove. To top it off, they stopped paying the subs and one of them put a lien on my house, EVEN though, i was up to date on my payment arrangement. (Yes, that's totally legal, for some reason!) The drama continues as I need help correcting some issues that i don't feel I should have to live with.
