Omakase. We ordered for 2 but could have fed 3 of us. We also added a taco since it only came with 1.

My dreams have come true...we now have sushi (outside of Guildhall's sushi) right here in Glencoe. I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of RDK. A few days after they opened I kept hearing it was bland and incredibly expensive. I was disappointed and wasn't in any hurry to get there. However, as the weeks went on I heard rave reviews about the quality of their sushi. Everyone agreed it was expensive, but what isn't these days and I'm sure the price of Glencoe rent doesnt help. My husband and I checked it out last night and it was pretty busy for a Friday at 7pm. The restaurant itself is beautiful; they did a fabulous job with the sleek modern decor. We decided to order the Sushi Bar Omakase, which was $125, but for the price of their rolls figured this wouldn't be much more. We also added (at our waiters suggestion) a taco for $10 since the omakase only comes with 1 taco. Considering no one is ordering the Omakase for themselves they really should add 2 tacos permanently. We started our meal with some edaname and cocktails. I went with my usual titos vodka & lime, while my husband raved about their sake. Everyone here was super nice, but they are definitely working out some service kinks. They brought us the wrong food so many times that it became a joke with our neighboring table. They were a little slow to get out the Omakase, but we were in no rush to get home to our crazy children so all good. The Omakase itself looked like a lot of food when it first came out, but we ate it all. However, we could easily share it with a 3rd person - anyone but our 10 year old sushi loving son who can take down at least 3 rolls on our own. I thought the nigiri and rolls were super fresh and tasty (definitely not bland). I wasn't a huge fan of the rainbow roll, but I'm usually not a rainbow roll type of gal. Overall, we were impressed and will definitely be back. For takeout we'll stick with AO due to the price alone, but great to have a nice sushi restaurant in our backyard.

Banana miso bar exceptional choice it's a banana base pudding at the top layered with caramel and on the bottom banana bread 10/10

5/5 Stars - Outstanding! RDK Sushi - 317 Park Ave, Glencoe, IL We dined at the brand-new RDK Sushi in Glencoe on April 4th -- literally one day after their grand opening -- and it completely exceeded our expectations. This Japanese restaurant (in the former Meg's Cafe space) delivered 10/10 quality and taste from the very start. The sleek, modern vibe is warm and inviting, perfect for the North Shore. Every dish impressed us with incredibly fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, beautiful presentation, and vibrant flavors. The sushi and hot items (including family-style appetizers) showed real precision and care -- rare for a restaurant on day two. Huge compliments to the chef and kitchen team for bringing such high-end Japanese excellence (with Nobu-level touches) to our neighborhood right away. Thank you! Special shout-out to our waiter Ray -- he was fantastic! Ray was knowledgeable, genuinely enthusiastic, and incredibly attentive. He offered perfect recommendations, explained the menu with confidence, kept the pacing ideal, and made us feel like VIPs with his friendly, caring service. Ray truly elevated the whole evening. The entire staff was warm and professional. RDK Sushi is already a gem in Glencoe -- we'll be back often! 10/10 Highly recommended! -- moyochoa, local Chicagoan

As expected, the restaurant was packed, both inside and in the beautiful courtyard. Families filled the dining room, with children of all ages at about 90% of the tables. The team at Pomeroy has been so consistent and professional, that all of our dishes were delivered at a perfect and steady pace, and qualities remained high. Although we got a different server each time we went, they were all very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.  This time, Carlisle did such a wonderful job even though she was super busy, and she wished me a happy Mother's Day several times to make sure that my day was special.  I must mention that the friendly hostess greeted me with well wishes too, and said happy Mother's day again when we left. We had noticed that they had replaced the couch in front of the courtyard fireplace with more tables.  Who could blame them when they had so many patrons to seat.  However, the courtyard still looked gorgeous. Now on to the food and drinks.  I had a mocktail Bleu 75 ($13) that's my favorite, my husband had a glass of chardonnay ($17), our daughter had a Le Spritz Strawberry ($16).  We shared an order of Sea Scallops ($23) and a Warm Tomato Tarte ($19).  I had my go-to dish which was the Mediterranean Sea Bass ($38), I loved the seared skin that was crispy on the edges. Husband and Daughter each ordered a Spring Halibut ($92 for 2) from the Mother's Day menu.  We ordered 2 Strawberry Crème Brulee ($28 for 2), and I shared 1 with my husband.  I also had a cappuccino ($6). The check came up to $283.05 before tips (they add a 3% surcharge to each guest check, which may be removed upon request, we didn't).  As always, our dinner was very enjoyable and it's worth the money.  I had a very happy Mother's Day dinner, and it ended a wonderful weekend with high notes!  We will keep returning!

When we got to Pomeroy for dinner, we were seated in the farthest back room, one that was open-air ... the staff never asked us, they just put us there. The room was nice as was the weather, but the open-air room had gnats all over the place. Now we realize that gnats or fruit flies oftentimes come with wine servings ... and the Pomeroy has a bunch of nice wines, but the gnats flying around your face all through dinner was not pleasant. We ordered drinks to start, and found it hit-or-miss. The Watermelon Margarita seemed tempting, so we tried one. It came with a big smear of Tajin powder on the rim, and was not appealing. Once again, we thought they should mention this kind of thing before it appears. They replaced the drink, but it kept us off on the wrong foot. All in all, they still put our good food. Our complaint was the seating, the gnats, and the Tajin powder ... all they had to do was ask for our preferences and these could have been avoided. But alas, they drop to four stars.

I made a special request during the reservation, which usually gets overlooked, so I was genuinely pleasantly surprised when they made it happen. My mother-in-law absolutely didn't expect it, and it made her feel really special. He even personally acknowledged my mother-in-law's birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. She was so happily surprised! The Hugo Spritz cocktails were refreshing and delicious. I ordered the scallops both as an appetizer and as my main course, and I truly enjoyed them. The strawberry chocolate cake we shared was absolutely delicious -- it practically melted in my mouth! I will definitely come back just to have it again Next time, I also want to try the burgers. The place itself is very welcoming and has this really nice coastal summer vibe. I checked Yelp and ordered from Hofherr Meat based on the stellar reviews. I often peek into Hofherr Meat when walking into Shred415 so was excited to finally try it! About 2 days before I was telling a friend where i got my turkey and she asked me how i plan to cook it. Cook it?? It literally had not occurred to me that my turkey would be raw. If it's not obvious from this review and ALL my restaurant reviews the kitchen is not where I shine. I called Hofherr to ask if they could cook my turkey and while apparently they do that it was too late to put in the request. Good to know for next time. Wednesday morning I joined the rest of the North Shore to pick up my raw turkey. I ran into a friend while waiting for it who is more of an expert when it comes to making turkeys and she asked them to give me gravy, a turkey bag (apparently easier and lessy messy to cook in a bag) and some directions. The next day I followed their directions along with some help from my bestie chatgpt. I stuck it in the oven and crossed my fingers we wouldn't be going without a turkey this thanksgsiving. We had a little mishap when the thermometer melted into the turkey (oops), but besides that it really wasn't too difficult of a process. And while I had trouble eating a turkey after seeing it raw my family was thrilled that it was perfectly moist and praised my turkey making skills. I did have a few bites and did think it was pretty good- and i dont even like turkey. I would definitely get my turkey from here again, although next time i'll be ordering a cooked turkey out of convenience. But for those of you who like to cook a turkey I recommend them!
