I recently hired Pulsar Construction to renovate 3 bathrooms and they were wonderful. This was my…read morefirst remodeling project in many years, and I knew I would need to find someone new, since my former contractor had retired. From my very first meeting with Elena, I felt comfortable and confident. They were able to accommodate my requested start date and handled all the preconstruction details including permits and inspections. Elena guided me throughout the design process and worked closely with me to make sure I was happy with my choices. Their workmanship and attention to detail were top notch and they were very respectful of my property, as well as my privacy. Their crew was extremely talented, and Dmitry was very hands on and knowledgeable. As with any remodel, there were a few small surprises, but Pulsar came up with solutions and made any alterations necessary. I truly appreciated their clear and frequent communication, weekly updates, and budget progress reports. I will definitely work with them again on future projects.

I say "with" because they both were absolutely with us every step of the way. The schedule and commitment they made with us was as equally important to them as it was to us. We had some hiccups. No project that I've ever been involved with goes without a hitch. And our house was built in 1963, and the kitchen was last updated in 1992. So there were a lot of challenges to be met and issues to be dealt with as the kitchen went down to the studs. But Elena is a master project and business manager. And Dmitry is actual an artisan, with a team of very skilled people at the ready to do the work and handle the problems. Even when we had issues with the vendors for the appliances, Elena stepped in and worked the white spaces, smoothing over the issues and getting everyone back on track. Dmity himself literally built custom solutions real time at the work site. We had several challenges because of the way the house was initially built, and he overcame them one by one with creative solutions that were not simply kluges but are now permanent fixes that passed ALL Final Inspections. Which brings me to another point: Dmitry did all the plans for submittal to the city, and Elena submitted all the plans and permit requests, interfaced with the city for all inspections, and gave us copies of all the final inspections and permit information for our files. We paid for those services, and I will tell you it was well worth it. It bears noting that we lived in the house the entire time the work was being done, except for the 12 days when we were on vacation out of the country. Pulsar kept working the whole time we were gone, safeguarding our home, and keeping us in the loop even though we were eight hours ahead. Pulsar was not our least expensive bid. But we made the decision early on that we would not cut corners on this job. We are very grateful to have found Dmity and Elena. They were easy to work with, had respect for our property and our schedule and our budget as much as possible, and never made us feel sorry about choosing to with them. I recommend you choose them, too!#

This was a pretty extensive project that included removing the old showers, waterproofing, new shower floors and wall tile, plumbing and drain work, and new frameless glass shower doors. They also repaired some water-damaged drywall and took care of other repairs that came up during the project. Eric and his team did a great job, and we're very satisfied with the quality of the work and the finished result. We definitely plan to use EG's Built Construction again for future remodeling projects and other repairs around our home. We would highly recommend them.

We began our Culver City project with a plan to renovate our existing three-bedroom, one-bath home and convert our garage into an ADU. What started as a 325-square-foot garage ultimately became a beautifully designed 705-square-foot one-bedroom ADU. Throughout the process, EG's consistently exceeded our expectations. The quality of the craftsmanship was outstanding, but equally impressive was the team's communication and guidance. Their insights helped us make smart decisions that balanced our budget with our desire for thoughtful design and high-quality materials. As the project neared completion, our confidence in the partnership led us to take on an additional phase--adding flexible living space to the existing home. Technically a JADU, this unique addition transformed our front home into a four-bedroom, two-bath residence, while also creating the option to close off the rear portion and generate rental income in the future. None of this would have come together without the collaborative approach of Eric, the owner, and the entire EG's team. Their professionalism, creativity, and commitment to doing things the right way made a complex project enjoyable and successful. A special thank you to Eric, Andy, Oscar, Lalo, Abner, Uriel, and Hugo, along with all of the expert partner contractors who contributed to bringing our vision to life. We are thrilled with the results and highly recommend EG's Built Construction to anyone looking for a team that combines quality craftsmanship with integrity, communication, and true partnership.

Paul is one of those rare tradesmen whose craftsmanship is matched by his integrity, authenticity, and genuine commitment to getting things right. I've come to trust him implicitly, and having him on a job gives me something invaluable: peace of mind knowing the work will be done properly. In this business, that's about as close to an insurance policy as you can get. I've spent much of my career working on everything from conventional construction to historic restoration, including a Frank Lloyd Wright home in the Chicago area. That experience gives you an appreciation for the details that separate good work from exceptional work. Paul has that same old-school understanding of craftsmanship, whether he's installing hardwood, vinyl plank, or working with more specialized materials and restoration applications. Our projects have ranged from seamlessly weaving new oak into an aged, deteriorated floor in an older home to specialized cork installations in a historic downtown LA nightclub. Different challenges, but the same thoughtful approach and attention to detail. Paul is fair, dependable, takes ownership of his work, and stands behind what he does. We also share the belief that the spaces people live in deserve to be treated with care and respect. I don't make recommendations lightly, but Paul is someone I trust with my own reputation. I recommend him without reservation.

I texted Paul some pictures, and he was able to give me a quote over the phone. Once I agreed to move forward, he got me scheduled pretty quickly. Luis came out and explained what needed to be done. Since the original composite floor panels are no longer made, he had to cut individual pieces of white oak to match the exact size and keep the original look of the panels. You could tell a lot of time and care went into it. After carefully piecing everything together, he sanded and finished it to match the original color of the floor. Honestly, when it was done, I could not tell the difference. The repair blended in perfectly with the original floor. Really impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. I'd definitely recommend Paul's Wood Flooring.

David provided a comprehensive answer regarding the leak, something the other contractors we interviewed were not able to do. He was also able to give us a ballpark number in terms of cost whereas the other contractors gave us a very large possible window. More so, David is a true craftsman and knowledgeable about all things construction wise. Not only did he repair our dividing wall, but he also helped with our front door that wasn't properly installed initially and other odds and ends around our home. Our neighbor was so impressed with his work that she also hired him. And he has since done work for family members nearby. Lastly, we also had a major plumbing issue, and David was quick to refer an amazing plumbing company. We trust David completely, and I can't recommend him enough. He is also a kind, thoughtful person which is an added bonus.

Now he's moving onto all of the other unsolved projects I have around my house.
