We had some sharing food as well, which was great; fresh produce and amazing bread and pizza dough. I had a beer flight; one friend got the special regional collaboration beer in a limited glass to take home. It was a popular spot with a lot of people. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Fun vibes on a weekend band night!…read more After driving by numerous times we decided to meet some friends on a night when they had a band. We arrived a half hour before the band started and was able to get a table in the patio area. They had heaters setup to help warm it up. Our group tried some of the beer options. I had the seltzer and it was tasty. The menu is mostly paninis, pizza and hot dogs. Since it was busy some of the food took awhile to come out. It is smaller than it looks on the outside so if you want a good spot for a band night you would need to get there early.

My wife, her daughter, and our family decided to try Beaver House in Lorain for Father's Day…read more Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We arrived as a party of six and were told there would be a 40-minute wait, which was understandable given the holiday. However, we were asked to wait outside. At the time, the Canadian soldier flies were extremely active, making it very uncomfortable, especially for the grandchildren. Because of that, my wife's daughter and her family decided to leave, leaving just my wife and me. As soon as our party was reduced to two people, we were seated immediately. While waiting, I noticed a table that had just become available after a party of six left. It appeared large enough to accommodate our original group, which made the situation even more frustrating. After being seated, we ordered drinks. When our server returned, she informed us that shrimp scampi was not available until 2:00 p.m. and that they were already out of perch. Both were items I would have considered ordering. The way this information was presented came across as dismissive rather than helpful. I commented that there seemed to be a lot of restrictions on what could be ordered. The server responded sarcastically, saying, "Yep, and you can leave, but you'll have to wait five minutes." At that point, I felt completely unwelcome as a customer. After reviewing the menu and considering both the limited options and the server's attitude, I decided not to stay. I also noticed that the table that had seated six people remained empty for at least 15 minutes after we arrived. When I told the server that I was unhappy with how I was being treated and would likely leave a review, she laughed and replied, "Make sure you tell them my name is Lexi." As we left, she continued to laugh. Adding to the confusion, after we left, the restaurant called the phone number we had provided for our original party of six, indicating that our table was ready. This only reinforced my belief that our entire group could likely have been accommodated much sooner. This was my first visit to Beaver House, and it will also be my last. What should have been a Father's Day celebration turned into a disappointing experience due to poor customer service, lack of communication, and an overall feeling that our business was not valued.
