5 stars to the Mechanic Frank, he's exceptional!! He's an honest, hard working man that does not try to take advantage like other mechanics do. 0 stars to the female manager. She's made the body shop uncomfortable, she doesn't allow customers to speak to the mechanic. At the looks of it she micromanages and takes away from the personal relationship a customer should be able to have with someone working on their vehicle. I've also noticed she charges a lot more than what they use to prior to her working there. She seems to want to make a profit off anyone who walks in by trying to sell unnecessary work to customers that don't know any better. I hope she doesn't drive the mechanic away with her behavior. read more

He's trustworthy even if you show up by yourself as a woman, he's never treated me dumb or tried upselling me even when I was younger and didn't know much about cars, he always kept it honest and that is mostly why I come back. Best car buying experience ever! I've been to a lot of used car dealerships and Rick is so honest, kind, understanding, and a pleasure to do business with. I took his car to a mechanic for an inspection and it was in absolutely immaculate condition except for a small suspension problem. When I brought this up to him he didn't hesitate at all to urgently fix the suspension problem at no cost to me. I will absolutely come back in the future if I need any other cars and recommend him to friends/family. Seriously, don't go anywhere else. He has good deals, high quality cars, and is a very nice person who's not afraid to have a great conversation during the whole process! I have been a loyal customer for years, and will continue to be one. I was recommended RCG Auto by a roommate who knew that I needed an honest mechanic service. As a single woman who knew almost nothing about cars, I have found them to be 1) knowledgeable 2) inexpensive and 3) honest. There have been times when my older car didn't need work I thought it did, and they've told me every time something didn't need work, or could wait until a new paycheck. I have seen them go out of their way for people in dire car situations. They do their very best to make everything work for people, and I've witnessed customers misunderstanding what they do for them, being thankless and rude. Call ahead and make an appointment. It's a mom-and-pop, so they might be too busy for you that day with too many cars in the shop or might be open at 9am, not 7am on a Saturday. 3 stars for average...decided to check this place out since I needed an oil change and they have the special for 19.95 for conventional oil change. The mechanic seemed like he was the only one on site as he did my service and rang me up. No hidden charges, no up selling on anything which is cool. Just my oil change straight up and no questions asked. I don't think there was any kind of a 20 point inspection or topping off of fluids done like other places would, so pretty much you get what you ask for. read more

Their prices are good, they're nice but I just got my car back after the having to fix something I paid for them to fix AGAIN. after trusting them with my car, Everytime something different wrong with it after they work on it. Now I have all kinds of leaks and other crap wrong with my car that I've never had wrong with, having a professional look it and possibly seeking legal advice on whether I should take legal action damages. Because now I have to find a good honest mechanic that will have to fix everything they ruined. Good honest mechanics are hard to find, and cannot be found here. Came here to get brakes replaced on an old Camaro that had been sitting for years. Long story short, after I left I noticed my brakes were still tight. The pin had been rusted shut inside the brake bracket and wasn't letting the brakes open up. Drove back 15 mins before they closed to show them the problem. Thankfully they were still there, worked on trying to get this pin out; doing all they could for the pin to release. They finally got it out, didn't charge us for the extra labor, even though they had been closed for 40 mins at that point. Overall, these two men had knowledge to fix the problem, knew what they were doing and gave a far price for the job! read more

My review for RCG Auto Repair has been long over due. Juan and Frank are great reliable Mechanics. Absolute Craftsmen and professionals. Over these past holidays both my Suv and Car needed maintenance. My check engine light had turned on in my Suburban driving to work and I randomly stopped at RCG and Juan came out from under a car he was working on and approached me with a great professional friendly attitude. He plugged his machine in to check my Suburban it took him a few minutes and told me exactly what the problem was. VERY HONEST!!! The repairs were very reasonably priced. I was absolutely pleased with the work both Juan and Frank provided so I had took them my Toyota(Lexus) A few days later and had them service my car with a tune up and had them change all the belts. They also replaced on my Suburban a new radiator and belt and full time up... The cost for all this work was really reasonable and very affordable. I'm super pleased and more so very glad that I found such HONEST and very KNOWLEDGEABLE MECHANICS. They care about there customers and go up and above the normal. My door handle needed to be repaired and they surprised me with a new door handle on my Suburban. I really appreciate Juan and Frank at RCG Auto keep doing what your doing guys... Thank you guys. I have been meaning to write this review for the longest time now and I have been his customer for about four years now with my old car and my currently new car this review is because he says he's doing something but then honestly he does everything incorrectly I also will be posting a picture as to the smallest things do you count he change my oil and I honestly don't remember his name but he has plugs in his ears and spiky hair he's basically the main one there I think he may be the owner as well but he change my oil and he did not screw my oil pan protector correctly and as I was driving it broke off slightly and when I parked it completely finished breaking off I just brought it up to his attention to go ahead and just order me a new one it's there for a reason to protect something for a reason he said OK I will just order a brand new one he took down all the information model of my car vin and bla bla , well come to find out I need to get my tires rotated I was not in the area so I went somewhere else to get them rotated and again it was hanging and A man was servicing my tires to get them rotated he showed me that somebody just had carved a piece of plastic out to fit the car, so instead of him actually ordering me a brand new oil pan protector he just carved a piece of trash out and screwed it in with some random screws I honestly don't even know if he was using the proper oil /dork plus for my tuneups and oil changes either so at this point I would highly suggest that if you do have a brand new car or an old car you know exactly what your mechanic is doing unfortunately I'm not gonna be going back to him ever again and I will not recommend him to anybody just because I don't even trust him to order one simple thing for my car that he caused to break off read more

Just like the other reviews have mentioned, they are straight up with the prices. All the staff I've met have been kind & very helpful. They're truthful, and they make a point of it by not just telling you what you need, but showing you in person why you need it. I've been coming here since my first car which was 6 years ago. I've since started doing my own oil changes & minor maintenance a couple years back to save $, but whenever I need something where I don't have the tools or time for this is the first place I come to. read more

Came here about a month ago to get an oil change cause it states they use Mobile 1. Price was cheap, they did it pretty fast, But, my car is now stating that the oil level is above max. Checked it this morning and sure enough, there is way too much oil in there. Also, places I've been to in the past have checked to make sure my other fluid levels were okay, but not this place. Had to find out the hard way that my car in in need of coolant. read more

I've been going here for 4 years. This is the last time. I get oil changes and it is usually under 20. I supply my own oil and filter. Because I did not have the filter I was charged $1 less than not having the oil. Mechanic made excuses why it was a dollar less. I paid with a card. Inside the office is a white board that shows how much is needed to make per day. I came on Monday and the board has the past weekend's returns. The 23 I paid was to make up for not making the estimated profit on the weekend. To top all of this the oil left over from the purchased 5 quart container was not returned. Once I found an employee to confirm it was okay to leave my car there I went into a waiting area. The whole process took around 30 minutes and this is with a whole bunch of other cars also waiting. No messing around and trying to sell me extra stuff. There is a downside but no stars taken off for it. Don't bother calling them, just go. They don't ever answer their phone or return your call.
