My…read morefriends and I bought our tickets for $25 on Groupon and then went to the Paint Nite website to register for our evening of painting. You can choose by location, artist, painting, or date. We did a Paint Nite at El Rodeo in Edgewood. We were about 20 minutes early and the four of us were able to get a row of seats together. We started a few minutes after six. The session began with the instructor making us say a funny Paint Nite oath about how we would not complain that our paintings were horrible. Everyone was given an apron, white canvas, three different size paint brushes and a plate with white, black, red, blue and yellow globs of paint. Following the directions from our instructor, everyone in the class mixed colors and painted a beautiful beach scene. I do not consider myself talented in the art department, but my painting turned out beautifully. With the instructor and assistant, our group had a great time at Paint Nite. We enjoyed ourselves and the time we spent together making our masterpieces. For my group, it was everyone's first time, but we were all very excited and would like to plan another night out doing the same with more of our friends. I think this is a great idea for friends, couples (even though the majority of the class was women) and a night out. You do not have to drink, but it can make the paintings look better for some people! Tips: Arrive early for a good selection of seats. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on (it might not happen, but it can and did to me!) but still look nice because they will be taking pictures to put on their Facebook page. And most importantly, have fun!

I was quickly contacted via email for clarification, and it was all a dream from there, as we found the perfect character for our singing telegram and received help with a special request for our delivery. Amanda was so easy to coordinate with, and Corey, our actor, reached out just before performing. We heard from Corey following our delivery, and our friend loved the song. We received a video and photos, which were perfect. She helped with every detail and was so caring during the event, most people thought she was a relative. We had full cafe lighting throughout the venue, four uplights and a ceremony arch adorned with hand-folded paper cranes I had made. We were absolutely thrilled with the entire process of working with Bobby and his team! We initially contacted Bobby via email and he provided us with a very comprehensive list of options and pricing for all the possible decor offerings he provided for our venue. He even told us about a special promotion/percentage off his company offers if we shared some of our lighting decor with a bride who was using the same venue as us later in the week. Not everyone would be so upfront about that -- what a transparent business! Throughout the entire process Bobby was very easy to work with and pleasant to chat with via phone/email. He never made me feel like my questions, particularly about my cranes, were annoying or too much. On the actual big day, Bobby and his team totally delivered. The space was beautifully lit and the archway was perfect! One of our uplights didn't end up working but Bobby graciously offered us a refund for that single light. Last April, I lucky enough to work with…read more2hands Studios for event rentals for my wedding. 2hands came as a recommendation from our florist, but they up being a complete godsend and really added the special finishing touches to my wedding day vision. The 2hands studio is a real life wedding Pinterest board. :-) We ended up using them for all table decor items, including mercury vases, antique mirrors, antique gold frames for our table numbers, candle votives and floating candle holders. We also rented a card lantern, a few sets of shutters (for our name cards), and multiple chalkboard signs. I also paid for the set up fee, which was well worth the cost as everything was executed flawlessly. They even helped me find a place for and set-up a family heirloom veil. Most importantly, working with Jill and Ally was super fun and super easy. They were collaborative and consultative. If I had found them earlier in the planning process, I am sure I would have found even more reasons to use them on other items b/c they seem to do everything. I would definitely recommend 2hands Studios to anyone planning a wedding and look forward to finding a reason to work with them again sometime in the future!
