Beware of Juan Nava and RCAR - A Costly Deception I am sharing my harrowing experience to warn others about the dishonest practices of Juan Nava and RCAR. They defrauded me out of $3,000, and after nearly four agonizing months, returned my car in the same broken condition. This ordeal has been a nightmare, and I hope no one else falls victim to their deceit. At the end of 2023, I visited RCAR to repair my car's AC, choosing them based on their glowing online reviews. Juan Nava, claiming to be the owner, advised that the entire AC system needed replacement for $1,700 due to prior work done by another mechanic. Trusting his word, I agreed. After only one week, the AC failed again. When I returned, Juan shifted the blame, stating that the heater core was the issue this time and quoted me an additional $1,366 for the repair. In June 2024, after saving the funds, I returned to RCAR and paid the full amount. What followed was a string of excuses and broken promises. Every week, Juan assured me the car would be ready, only to delay further. He even blocked my number at one point, making it impossible to reach him. I caught him in several lies, claiming he wasn't at the shop when he clearly was. By August 30, I had reached my limit. Despite his promise that the car would be ready, I found it still untouched. I demanded my money back if the car wasn't ready the following week. When I returned on September 17, Juan promised a refund of $1,200 out of the $3,000 I had paid. However, as of today, October 7, I haven't seen a single dollar, and my patience has run out. I am now pursuing legal action to recover what I've lost. I am not a big fan of reviews but I have to do it his time I have a 2014 BMW 5 series last week I was driving on the freeway on my way home from a convention in San Diego (I live in Fresno now just to leave in the I.E), wend suddenly my car just die on me I was so scare because my boyfriend or my dad was picking up the phone, so I just google for nearest shop around me and come to find out RCAR was about to close for the day but I decided to give them a call, luckily was open the manager (juan) was so helpful he send a tow truck to pick me and my BB from the freeway (my car lol) ones we got to the shop I was afraid I was going to be charge a outrageous price for any test (I have been to the dealer) turn out I did not pay for any test WAS FREE and the repair was under the $400 dollar including the tow truck. I was on my way home like one hour later Sad to say I do not live in the area otherwise I will definitely bring my cars to this shop thank you guys you guys did a amazing job P.S your Fresno friend lol read more

I've been an RCAR customer for a little over a year now, bringing my car in for an oil change and a few times when my Check Engine light popped on. I am a very satisfied customer! I drive an older model vehicle (2001) and the owner has been nothing but knowledgeable, professional, honest and sincere concerning my vehicle and the work needed on it. Not only did I find his pricing to be fair but each time my car was serviced it was done efficiently and in a timely manner. I've referred his services to two girlfriends, even a stranger at a grocery store when I overheard her mention a problem she was having with her car. I give the owner and his staff the highest praise for the work they've done on my car to keep my engine at it's best. The owner, Jake, is welcoming and personable, and offers fair pricing as well as a genuine care for his customers and his work! Rhonda in the front office was very kind and was very helpful.
