Terrible customer service experience. Disrespectful. They did not value a returning customer. Price also changed throughout. Hidden extra cost for credit card over the phone. Ridiculous. Initially Adrian was responsive to my order. After I had the exact square footage and was ready to order I called RCA back. Left a message for Adrian. He did not call back. I called him again. He was with a customer and said he would call back afterwards. Over 2 hours later he did not call so I called again. Asked for the owner. Owner Saul refused to speak with me. Adrian gave me a price over the phone and he thought I would just give him a credit card #. Asked to have the quote emailed. He sent 2. The 2nd quote implied a 3% charge for credit card. Veronica said the 3% was to prevent fraud. Interesting. If the credit card was fraudulent then even the 3% would not be recovered. I questioned because this order was being delivered so they knew where it was going. Also Adrian never disclosed the 3% charge and even had to send a 2nd invoice with the charge. Called back afterwards I reviewed the emailed invoices. Spoke to Veronica. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. I questioned the 3%. She said it I went to the store the 3% would not be applied. I questioned. She changed her story to you have to come in to complete the sale. Then to you can sign and authorization doc and email a copy of my ID. At that point I realized this company forgot that this product was available at many other retailers. Called the manufacturer and was provided a link and long list of other retailers. The owner of Banner Carpet Flooring Showroom in Redondo respectfully took my order. Price was the same and he delivered for free! read more

RCA FLOORING recently refinished my hardwood living room floor. The floor needed to be redone because of pet stains as well as years use from my large family. Ramon handled the process. He was professional and helpful. I cleared the room of most items before our start date, but Ramon's crew helped me by moving a few large pieces out the first morning. They put up many clear sheets of plastic to protect and keep dust out of my hallways and other rooms. They had to replace several planks of wood where pet stains were; those areas came out perfectly ! I can't tell exactly where they were. I choose finished color stain close to my original color ! My parents loved RCA. Thank you yelp! RCA gave the fairest quote, over 100 sq ft less than what another highly rated yelp flooring company gave for their estimate. The son (of the owner?) was the person who gave the estimate. My parents bought a place that had half the flooring in hardwood and the other half was carpet. They wanted to rip out the carpet and put in matching flooring. The guy was able to pinpoint the approximate year that the existing hardwood was installed based on hardwood flooring trends. Who knew hardwood floors had trends! After ripping out the carpet, the base flooring underneath wasn't completely even, so the workers meticulously laid down very thin spacers onto the base flooring until the floor was completely even before installing the hardwood on top. This attention to detail was noticed and appreciated. My folks are hard to please and my dad has decades worth of experience in running properties. The fact that they were extremely happy w/ RCA is the biggest compliment any business can receive! read more

We had them install vinyl flooring in a condo we were selling 1 1/2 years ago and they did an excellent job.The flooring was so perfect that many people who came to the open houses wanted to know who installed it. Can't thank Ramon and his crew enough for the work they have done in my house - house that is fully furnished and occupied! They carefully moved furnitures around as they go. His crew was also very respectful. They were just the nicest people. So much so, they saw me and my husband sweeping the garage floor and one of the volunteered to vacuum it for us. They installed our floors at our office a couple months ago and the floors are warping and coming up. You walk on them and half the floor moves. I'm very happy with the work just completed yesterday at our property. We just bought our first place together and wanted to replace the carpets which were already in great condition, they just weren't the color we wanted and besides, they were walked on by tenants and tenants before. For our new home we wanted to start fresh. Rca was our first estimate for flooring. Call me crazy but I felt like they would be worth it. I got a ballpark semi estimate from Home Depot but after hearing that RCA's prices were way better, (about half the price) with much better quality, we went with rca. We went to their showroom after receiving our estimate, to see what cheaper options we could find. We wanted a patterned carpet but we wanted comfortable, pet and child proof, and affordable. We found the PetProtect stain master line. We chose a color that was light Greyish to go with our vision of light airy and beachy vision for our home. Deposit paid and two weeks later, our carpet installers arrived. They spent the first day ripping up old carpet (free from RCA, charged by Home Depot per square foot) then laying down the padding. We got the 8 lb pad which felt super squishy in the showroom and we wanted to save $ compared with our original pick of memory foam. They started cutting the carpet later in the day. Then things started to look questionable. It didn't occur to me (self home improvement, water heater leak, home warranty estimates, handyman drama; all this was already frying my brain) that the carpet looked beige. Until my husband saw it. Then he balked. He was horrified and said he would not approve the color being installed. Yes the carpet was already cut but it hasn't been tacked down. RCA's website had a 100% satisfaction mission so I thought we may still be ok - maybe they ordered the wrong carpet, maybe the installers picked up the wrong roll, something! Turns out the showroom dim lighting made the carpet sample appear grey to us, when in actuality it was beige. We held our installers up 4.5 hours on day #2 because we wanted to see if we could switch with a grey carpet in stock (wont be as good a quality and not stain master) but due to our chosen carpet not having a 30-day satisfaction, we would incur a $1500 restocking fee. Plus we would have a lesser quality carpet. Sigh. Rosie at RCA was so patient explaining this to both myself and my husband and never was rude or snippy, while we were being more upset as customers who felt we deserved another carpet, with no penalty, since the sample looked grey to BOTH of us. She remained calm and friendly but straightforward. Well we bite the bullet and said well, it'll hopefully be fine. We didn't want to lose out on $1500 for cheaper less comfortable and unprotected carpet. With a planned arrival time of 9 am on day 2, we caused the holdup and they arrived at 1:45 pm. The installers arrived quickly and went straight to work. It was a group of 3, whom I never noticed took lunch breaks because they worked in shifts and never stopped. They weren't able to finish our wrap-around wedge shaped spiral staircase on day 2, so they even came for day 3! The work was very beautiful! My husband in the end really does like the carpet and we actually noticed that at sunset, our carpet does look grey! Thanks for your patience, RCA! read more

Had our flooring installed about 18 months ago and appeared flushed and well seated; however, after a few months a majority of the tile end joints began lifting slightly off the base floor indicating loss of adhesion. As the months rolled by, there was additional lifting causing complete detachment in some areas of the floor, indicating either inefficient adhesive or lack of quality control during the install . This recent heatwave most likely induced expansion of the existing air pockets underneath the tiling and exaggerated lifting even further, causing tripping hazards and blocking floor clearance for some doors. An RCA Flooring representative visited our home upon request and surveyed the existing flooring condition and simply stated that the material was designed for temperatures between 50deg F to 80deg F, and we need to maintain that temperature in the home. Of course during his visit, the heat wave had passed and temperatures had returned to normal seasonal of high 70s and low 80s, and the flooring had settled after the air pockets had cooled down; however, the end joints lifting was clearly visible throughout. He did offer the opportunity to call them back if we observed any further issues; however, the point of this review is to highlight the perceived lack of "backing" to workmanship and material used. The flooring had already gone through multiple cycles of lifting and no longer adhering to the base floor. Considering that normal summer temperature fluctuations in Redondo Beach will typically go above 80deg F, in which a home without air conditioning cannot compensate; his closing comment appears to be a means to circumvent product and workmanship ownership. read more

RCA flooring had a huge selection of flooring, I simply went in and spoke with Adrian and told him what my budget was. He suggested flooring to our budget needs and offered this amazing water proof flooring. We went ahead and redid our whole house and was amazed at the price at the end, way less than we expected. I have used RCA flooring now twice. Previously for my old house and more recently for my new house. I decided to work with them a second time since they offered competitive prices and despite the poor communication the first time, they delivered a decent product. My second experience working with RCA was nothing short of horrible. They installed the incorrect carpet, the carpet in one of our three bedrooms was installed backwards so the carpet thread did not match the rest of the house, and when we tried to bring this to their attention I was unable to get a call back until I was calling literally twice a day asking for help. Additionally, they did not have enough carpet the first time and so we needed to reschedule a second time for them to complete the job. We went an additional three weeks without carpet in our hallway because of this. After all of these issues, I told Carlos, our point person that we would not pay full price for the carpet. After some back-and-forth he agreed and we received a small discount. Unfortunately, we paid a deposit at the beginning that needed to be refunded. When I tried to reach out again I received no call back despite promises from the two different people I spoke to when I called in, saying this would be handled asap. We still have not received our deposit back and are now escalating this to our credit card company. I would highly discourage you from doing business with RCA. There are plenty of other decent companies out there that you can use. read more

Very impressed in how RCA handled by job. They showed up on a Saturday in full force. I had over 500 SQ FT of a water resistant laminate to be installed. The job took just over four hours to complete. The only thing that wasn't done was the Transition and Reducer pieces. This was only due to the fact that I had to special order these as Floor and Décor did not carry within their common stock. Project Manager, Marcus, stated that we could call him upon receiving material and his guys would come back. Sure enough, two weeks later, the guys returned and completed the job. It is regrettable but my experience with RCA Flooring was quite unprofessional and I will never call this contractor for any job. I called them twice in December 2015 for a hardwood floor repair project. The project may have appeared to be a small one but the truth is that it would have been a high cost project involving putting a subfloor before the repair. I gave all repair information on the phone including my address and I was told that they would "call me to send someone out". It's January 2016 and no one had called me and no one came out to my house for repair! I know that December is a busy time but I would have preferred if they said they were too busy to take my project. I would have called another contractor. It is not acceptable to make a commitment to a customer then just disappear. If they treat (what they thought as) small jobs that way, how can I trust them with a big job? read more

Man, I was really hoping to give this place a good review initially. They were initially responsive and everyone was pleasant. I will say my carpet and bathroom floor turned out good which is why I decided to have them do tile on the shower wall area. This is where things went downhill. The communication failed and it took about 3 weeks and many calls to even schedule the tile. This completely held up my bathroom renovation and overall move in date. Even then I wasn't too upset but just annoyed. After the tile was completed in the bathroom shower, they didn't put any of my shower fixtures back (tub faucet, handles /knobs, shower head) I called about it twice they were nice but no one was scheduled to come out. Unfortunately I'm not a handy person and wasn't able to take a shower or bath for a week until I finally got some help from a friend. I was definitely going to recommend them to family and friends because the work came out fine, but now I will not. Communication was very lacking and if I would've had the time I would've looked elsewhere to get the tile done. read more

Very bad experience with this company. Dealt with Rosie. They were responsive and quick to bring over samples. They also would match cost on the type of wood that I was looking to order. Here's where they went south... 1. They had me apply for credit, saying there was a promotion happening. So I did. Hard inquiry on the credit for a large amount. It was granted. Then Rosie tells me she was wrong about the credit - that it could only be used on Shaw flooring. So that's either a bait and switch or she was totally lacking knowledge on how their credit works. Either way, not ok! 2. The bid they gave, unlike the 4 other companies that bid my project, did not include prepping the floor to put the wood down. Conveniently, she told me this after I got the credit. 3. They then bait and switched me on the wood. There are two that are very similar. She showed me one that had bow ties throughout natural gaps. That's nice. Then she told me, after I got the credit, that it's not that wood. It doesn't have the bow ties Not a huge difference, but I liked the stupid bow ties. So I expect the price to drop a little because the flooring company said that the bow tie one was a little more expensive. She said the price of the wood went up so it's the same. Then she sent me a bid 1k higher that had the exact language of the previous bid. Throughout the process there were multiple times she came back with: "well that'll be more expensive" and I have no doubt the number would have climbed significantly for basic stuff that other contractors work into their numbers from the start. Needed a repair done in the kitchen and when I initially quoted it was high. Decided to add on work to bring down the overall cost. Mistake, should of kept shopping around. Took them a day to do all the work but everything was rushed. When they realized they wouldn't finish on time they started rushing. When they didn't have the patience to remove the floor properly, they cut it out running through my extra boxes of material. Left big gaps and chips in the laminate. Asked for the owner to come back and look at the lousy craftsmanship and they eventually stopped replying. After two months he finally showed up with a bottle of calking and chalked all the mistakes up to manufacture defects and floor bowing. (No where else in the house do we have these problems). Overall they did fast work for new floors, but watch them if they make mistakes they will try to cover it up and move forward rather than fixing it and owning up. read more
