Rather than give an opinion, I think it is better to just convey my experience. I had a small room hardwood floor refinished. RCA did a good job refinishing. New floor wall trim, dull white, was included. After installation, I noticed most of the trim around the room had nicks and scratches on the pieces. I asked if they could touch up the trim as it was supposed to be new. They said it wasn't part of the job. I said it was supposed to be new. One of the workers had an attitude and became argumentative and became sarcastic in a low voice to me, such that I had to kick him out of my house. I called Ramon not too long after that and conveyed the workers attitude. A day or so later, my two heavy duty wrought iron chairs sitting in front yard were stolen. These chairs have been in front yard for years. I asked my neighbor if they had seen anything. She had been sitting outside when they came to my home and said the workers had a hard time getting around the chairs with there heavy duty sander and had to move them with annoyance. I cannot prove this worker was vindictive and arranged to have chairs stolen for use or melt down for money, but it is awful suspicious..... As a result I cannot recommend this company. I always passed by this spot in my city and never gave it much thought until we had some remodeling work that needed to be done around the house. We ended up getting a quote for blinds that was ridiculously cheap. The person who installed our blinds did a great job and was friendly and courteous. Unlike everybody else's here, my experience with RCA Flooring was very frustrating. It's true they were inexpensive but the quality of their work and their business ethics proved to be on par with their prices. To start with, they they do not accept AmEx. I had to make an extra trip to the nearest bank which was not so near. But that was just an inconvenience. My real problems began when they switched product on me without informing me about the substitution. That was done despite the fact that I had had to make several trips to their shop to make the order and was _very_ specific about the materials to be used. When I told Ramone, the owner, of their "mistake", he first acted very surprised but soon owned up to the fact that his supplier had run out of stock with the type of linoleum that I ordered. "And?" I thought to myself, hoping that Ramone would offer to re-do the work as soon as he should have the right vinyl delivered to him. Well, nada. That offer never came. I actually had to _tell_ him that he should do that. After two weeks of waiting, numerous empty "I'll call you right back" promises from Ramone and three no-shows of his team (each time imaginatively explained away by the boss with "Oh, we were so busy, I forgot"), the RCA vinyl masters finally re-did my kitchen floor. Only to leave me with another problem. They removed a backdoor threshold (after I pointed out to them that the saddle underneath it had rotted with age, was all cracked and shouldn't be used to hold down new vinyl) and, without installing a new one (which I was expecting them to do since they had already installed two new thresholds in the apartment) they simply threw it away and, when finished, left before I could examine the results of their handiwork and have them reinstall the necessary piece. Now I have a big gap under my back door and Ramone refuses to replace the threshold (in the case of my apartment an under $10 piece of wood) blaming me for making them remove it and telling me that they do not install this kind of doorway transitions anyway. The vinyl team who worked in my kitchen were no mutes but they never warned me of that limitation of their responsibilities. When, perplexed at what I had been told, I asked Ramone if he was at all responsible for what his workers did on the job, Ramone told me that, no, he was not. "It has nothing do do with me," he said. My guess is he was not joking. He finished our last phone conversation by promising me that he should have the man who had thrown away the threshold call me back. It's been a while ago now but the gap under my door is still there. As are many thin but quite visible gaps between planks in my wood laminate floors done by RCA (all blamed on the material -- "The boards are not perfect. That's the best we could do with them") and a few chips in each room, all somebody else's fault, too, no doubt. read more

This company was suggested when I needed to have carpet installed at an apartment unit. At the time I was out of town and was not able to physically go to the store to make a payment. The store only accepts Credit Cards if you pay an additional 2%, which I thought was ridiculous what's the difference if I am there or not. So I made arrangements for someone to pay in full on my behalf, (before the job was done). I was given a one-hour time window for Friday morning and subsequently conveyed that information to the tenant at the property where the carpet was to be installed. The company did not show up until 3 1/2 hours later, they did not call to say anything. After 2 hours of waiting the tenant called me to complain, when I contacted the store they said the crew had another job before mine. I was appalled at their UNPROFESSIONAL service. They did not even offer to make amends for the inconvenience, just a paltry "sorry". Don't believe they were sorry or else they would have contacted me and said they would be MUCH later than the promised time. Guess that's the service you get when you pay in Full for a service that is not yet performed. This business is NOT ready for dong business, and lacks customer service skills. My advice, take your business elsewhere and save yourself the headache, learn from my experience!!! read more

My wife and I recently purchased a 4 unit in lawndale and were shopping around for new flooring company to work with. RCA came in to be top of our choice. For our project, we had to remodel 2 bath with tile, 1 kitchen with tile, living room with laminated flooring and 2 bedrooms with carpet. Carlos our sale was able to work with our pricing and our schedule. We were also truly impressed by the quality of their work and their professionalism. For example in the middle of our project, we noticed after they had finished installing our laminated floor that a board wasn't cut well, Ramon our installer had their guy reinstalled that whole section so that every single piece of the floor was flawless. Ramon also made sure that our kitchen moulding and living moulding have a perfect transition. We are truly impressed. We also very happy that we can support a family business in our area. Our contractor said such glowing things about you to replace our entryway and dining room that needed to be replaced due to water damage. We currently have our entire floors upstairs and downstairs with hardwood floors. You ensured our contractor that the unfinished wood would match our present wood and with stain a definite match. WOW! What a LIE! It is soooo from so far our present floors that we hope our guests and relatives won't notice. Our contractor believed in you and your installer who was rude and took my Granddaughter's beach bucket for to his stain and varnish because he was unprepared with supplies and tools. He didn't even ask. What about using my balll point pen for a right angle and a level. How unprofessional and unskilled for present day!! As soon as we have some more money we are taking out this abortion and going to a reputable business. I do not blame my contractor at all because he was trying to get a good price and quality ecause he was trusting you. But one thing is to SCAM and get you to believe that the supplies and installer would be right on. What about right OFF!! Be cautious with them they are too busy to get give you a cheap price and Everything else that goes with it. I live in Manhattan Beach and expect better quality even if I would have had to pay a little more. Ignore this outfit if you have any pride in your house. read more
