My boyfriend and I were looking for a home throughout 2016-2018, throughout that time, I believe some where in 2017 we got a hold of Matt's business card and switched over to him to be our home loan lender. He made the process easy! He was so kind! He wasn't pushy, invasive, or demanding. Matt was super knowledgable and informative. He kept us in the loop at all times, but wasn't overbearing with the contact. He provided us with factual data and talked with our realtor (who is a close friend and our advisory throughout the process) to keep him in the loop as well (in which was what we wanted). He also talked in plain english with us - he didn't ever try to schmooze us over with fancy words or confuse us with mortgage lingo. Matt is smart, thorough, helpful, and willing to work. Unfortunately, the home builder we went with swayed us use their mortgage company and that process seemed to be a nightmare compared to Matt. However, we still contacted Matt throughout the process of the home loan with the builder's mortgage company, because he was open, honest, and truthful and could help us understand all the numbers and paperwork that was being thrown at us. We learned how important it is to have a home loan lender that blends with your personality - next time we plan to use Matt. Hopefully he'll still be in the business when we move into a different home.

I am writing this review to share my experience with the property management at Marshall Reddick…read morein San Antonio. On a positive note, the team was very responsive prior to move-in, answering phone calls and text messages in a timely manner. Unfortunately, that level of service dropped significantly once I was in the home. Post-move-in communication was exceptionally poor. I often had to call multiple times without receiving a response, despite the company expecting immediate replies whenever they reached out to me. We also experienced recurring issues with the home's water heater, losing hot water on at least three separate occasions. When we submitted maintenance requests, we were advised to turn up the temperature on the unit. While this provided a temporary fix, the underlying issue kept happening. It was only after sending a stern email and copying the property manager that the problem was finally addressed properly. To make matters worse, upon move-out, we were improperly charged a cleaning fee despite having hired professional cleaners and submitting the receipts directly to Joshua Garza. Joshua was unresponsive regarding the charge, and even after CCing Melisa Day, I still received no reply or resolution to this day. The lack of accountability and communication has been extremely frustrating. If you want to avoid a headache, I recommend to NOT lease through this company.

From the day we moved in, our experience has been disappointing. We've submitted multiple maintenance requests that have either gone unanswered or been marked as completed without anyone ever coming to our home. One of the most concerning issues is a large hole our neighbor's dog dug under the fence, allowing it access to our backyard. I was told they would "look into it, and call me back" but I never received a follow-up. Despite multiple calls, voicemails, and an online work order, the issue remains unresolved weeks later. We also reported an unbalanced ceiling fan that appears unsafe to use. After waiting over two months, I received a notification stating the repair had been completed, even though no one ever came to inspect or fix it. Communication has been extremely poor. Calls are rarely returned, voicemails go unanswered, and it feels nearly impossible to get a response from maintenance, the tenant coordinator, or Property Manager Melisa Day. Another frustration is that because these are new construction townhomes, tenants are expected to coordinate directly with vendors for certain repairs. That responsibility should fall on property management, not the tenant. To make matters worse, there is a significant gnat infestation. Despite paying for private pest control every two months and purchasing Zevo traps at my own expense, the problem persists. After speaking with several neighbors, I learned this is a community-wide issue. My experience has left me feeling that once the lease is signed, tenant concerns are no longer a priority. If you are considering renting here, I encourage you to carefully research the property before making your decision. ( we are very clean people three of those zevos have been there for 5 days, one I just changed yesterday.)
