We have a large house that, although beautiful, has some awkwardness in its exterior design in the back. In the front, more than half of our facade has natural stone with predominantly warm tones. And to make things even more complicated, the original acrylic window frames are stark white... In spite of so many limiting elements, Sarah was able to come up with a great solution to our problem. The new color scheme compliments the peaceful atmosphere of our property and, at the same time, adds a touch of timeless sophistication to our slightly awkward house. Aside from having obvious creative talent, Sarah is a great listener and communicator, and will do her best to incorporate your personal preferences into the final product. I strongly recommend Astute Adobe Design for any project that involves colors and shapes.

We are new to the Seattle area, so our realtor referred us to Sarah who helped us plan a full house renovation. She was very responsive & accommodating to our out-of-state travel schedule throughout the entire process. Sarah was instrumental in helping us plan the layout, design aesthetic and project oversight with the general contractor. Her resourcefulness & industry contacts were essential to accelerate the sourcing and ordering of a wide variety of products and materials. In addition, her attention to detail and problem solving skills were essential at each stage of this complete renovation. As experienced homeowners, we appreciated that Sarah took the time to understand and consider our preferences to encompass both style and function into our home design. She is a dependable and skilled designer with integrity and professionalism. We are very happy with the end result and could not have done this without her assistance. Helene & Charles, Seattle, WA

Her help in the area of the tile for both the shower and the flooring, made the choices so easy and I love the final result. She also gave us choices that I wouldn't have thought of, but I ended up absolutely loving, so I'm so glad that she again, provided different choices for us. We wholeheartedly recommend KP Spaces for fabulous taste, patience of a saint, and a ton of fun!

I always have a pretty good idea of what I like and how I want the space to feel, but the execution part is always tricky for me! That said, I was really hesitant to use a designer for fear of 1: not seeing eye to eye design-wise, and 2: being over-charged for a service that I would be only somewhat satisfied with. Despite my reservations, a friend of mine introduced me to Keri and I instantly knew she would be a great fit. First of all, she is pretty much the nicest human being on the planet. I'm not kidding. And I could tell that she had a great sense of style and design by the way she dressed (is that shallow?). ;) As it turned out, Keri was and has been everything I HOPED a designer would be: very open to hearing my ideas, and yet decisive and clear about what might and might not work in a specific space (I tend to be wishy-washy and can never make up my mind); incredibly creative and resourceful; willing to work with any budget; and just extremely easy to work with. As the mother of a toddler, she also understands the specific needs that we as parents have in terms of furniture that is both aesthetically great AND functional. I am so happy with the work she has done for us thus far.. We have almost our entire house completed, and I have been having a blast every step of the way. There are not many services that I can honestly say this about, but Keri has been worth every penny. Overall, she has saved us hundreds of dollars, not to mention time! We'll continue to use her until our house is finished, and I'll recommend her to all my buddies.

Can't wait to remodel another room in our home and hire them again. Thank you!

She took the time to listen to our goals for the house and made sure to strike a balance between what my wife and I wanted. She was very respectful of the house's age and focused on creating a timeless design for each room. We hired Rebecca in December of 2021 to work on three rooms -- our entryway, living room, and…read moremaster bathroom. Our contract stated that she would provide design and project management services. We also purchased furniture from her for our living room. In total, we paid her approximately $50k for all of these services and products. Throughout the project, Rebecca made us feel as though we were her absolute lowest priority and frequently showed little to no regard for our time. After we paid her for the furniture, Rebecca stopped communicating with us. Her contract states that she will respond to questions and comments within 3 business days, but she frequently ignored our emails and we would typically not hear from her for 4-6 weeks, only after repeated emails from us requesting updates. For 6 months, Rebecca repeatedly told us our technical drawings would be ready within 1 or 2 weeks. Then we would not hear from her for 4-6 weeks, and would often have to email her two or more times before we would even receive a response. In her response, she would simply repeat that we could expect our drawings within 2 weeks. This cycle repeated for 6 months, and we finally received technical drawings in March of 2023, nearly 15 months after we began working with her. The drawings themselves lacked details such as terminations and returns, and even included the wrong colors. These issues were never corrected. Rebecca showed very little regard for our time. She frequently canceled appointments at the last minute without explanation, usually in the middle of the day that she was supposed to meet with us. We generally did not hear from her again for 4-6 weeks at a time, only after repeated emails. After 18 months of this behavior, we finally sought legal counsel. Only after this did Rebecca finally respond to us and deliver our furniture. However, when we had an issue with one of the chairs that required a warranty claim, the same behavior emerged. We would not hear from her for many weeks on end, and appointments were canceled at the last minute, on the day she was supposed to visit. We had a remarkably poor experience with Rebecca. Our project for 3 small rooms should have taken several months, but has instead extended to nearly 2 years without being completed. We would strongly recommend avoiding her services.
