The beautiful river that looks like a leisurely ride actually has 7 rapids! They also provide life jackets and a helmet if you choose to wear use them. The river entry point is a 20 min walk with the tube. I chose to pay a few extra dollars and have a van take us to the entry point and skip the walk. You can go down the river multiple times as your price is for the day. It is a couple dollars cheaper on weekdays. Tubing is something everyone should try at least once. (Honestly, if you're not a strong swimmer, this trip isn't for you, they do test your swimming in the rapids and throughout the trip over half of the people across our 5 rafts ended up in the water at some point! Additionally this would be quite the dive into the deep end if you've never rafted before!) The trip was an incredible mix of thrills, skill, and crazy beautiful scenery you would not have guessed was there when you drive into Kremmling. Midway through, we stopped for snacks, and when we wrapped up, the crew served a delicious lunch and cold beers (NA options were there too!) such a nice touch after a big day! What sets Liquid Descent apart is the crew. Every guide I've had has been dedicated to making the trip special. I've talked to them and many of them have said they specifically choose to work here because of the company's extra training and the sense of community. I even met the owner yesterday at Gore Canyon, and you can tell the company's passion for customer experience comes directly from the top. Yes, most rafting companies use the same put-in/take-out points and similar gear but the experience is what makes the difference. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. That was my first impression of the place and will prevent me from ever coming back. One staff member was nice but the other one was constantly disparaging the original hill next door. Plus there is a future development poster inside. We need more mom and pop, not more corporate culture and certainly less development in Colorado. They don't sell actual food, just snacks. They have a rack of equipment. Helmets are mandatory for minors. There is a line to go up now and it's fairly long which means less sliding. The only thing this place has is snowmaking and it's been a dry winter.

The rental process was very simple and they sent us out with the map and a few recommendations. We absolutely loved the 2.5 mile loop trail at the beginning (going clockwise around the loop), but about 1/5th of the way around the loop, the trail and sine age completely disappeared. We did follow snowshoe trails that (we ended up learning) were developed by people who just made their own trail. It was impossible to know which way to go, and crazy enough, we had four bars of service with AT&T while on the mountain, so we called back to the Nordic Center for help, and they recommended we head back towards the Nordic Center the way we came, so we did. It was a little disappointing since we never made it out to the river or to see the bridge, but you can only be disappointed for so long when you're surrounded with such beauty.

The prices are very reasonable, the equipment is in excellent shape, and the staff are amazingly kind and helpful. If you get tired out Nordic skiing you can switch to Snowshoes as part of the same trail pass, and they have free snow tubing all day long.

With her passenger van and canoe trailer, she made the entire process of getting in and out of the river a breeze. Lauren did a great job training everyone learn how to properly handle their canoe and leading us down the river. While the trees hadn't quite started springing out leaves, the birds were plentiful and easy to see in the various roosting areas that we passed by in our canoes. There was even a herd of cattle that crossed the river in front of us. We stopped for lunch along the way to relax and enjoy the scenery. Lauren made the entire day fun and we really enjoyed the entire experience.

The staff completely handled the situation terribly didn't even offer me a refund. I had to demand it. How are you not communicating with your employees and putting people at risk like this. They sent me down to the ski patrol where they couldn't even really assess me for a concussion. Now I am considering taking legal action if I do have some serious injuries. Avoid this place at all cost.
