I too wish I had read the reviews. My experience started out well. My dryer stopped heating and was able to quickly set up an appointment. The day after, they called to tell me what part would be needed and it would take 3-5 days to get it. After that, I always had to initiate a call only to be told it was on back order. After seven weeks, I called and they said they would be there on Wednesday. That Wednesday, the show up on schedule but they forgot to load the part on the truck. The following Friday, they come with the part, installed it and it doesn't fix the problem. The technician kept looking on the internet how to fix the problem. He said they would call me on Monday with new price and timing. They called alright to let me know that they couldn't get the part and would be unable to help me. I already decided that I wasn't going to use them and called the manufacturer and they are sending someone and guarantee to fix the machine. Moral of the story, DO NOT USE RAYNOR. read more

So obviously, this is a scam. Tech said dishwasher needed motor. Claims he installed new one, but dishwasher still broken. Tech calls and says he doesn't know what problem is. Office manage, Kathy, tells you when to call owner, Joe, but Joe doesn't answer. Sound familiar? If you have been scammed, join me in putting this guy out of business. BBB and Suffolf County Consumer Affairs not very effective, but courts are. I will fund small claims court expense. He can be sued up to $2500.00. Award would be divided amongst claimants. This business should be shuttered by the authorities: I paid a fee for scheduling an estimate ($$$) that I was assured would be put towards parts and labor required for repair of my stovetop ignitor. Tech arrives with part that took 4 months to arrive only to realize he will need 2+ hours to perform repair. Tech left and never came back with the part that I purchased to repair the stove. Kathy, who USED to answer the phone, who for MONTHS promised to call me back to schedule the repair and never did, and now--after 20+ calls and leaving as many messages, has yet to return my call. Not only is the guy extremely rude, but when he came to diagnose the problem with my stove, he said he ordered a part and kept delaying me week after week after week, only to come back with the part a month later and tell me he couldn't fix it and that I had to call Thermador. I have never experienced such rude customer service by the owner of a company. He was disrespectful at every step of the process. I am disappointed in myself that I did not check Yelp before calling Raynor. The service man came in Sept. 2021 to assess our refrigerator door that would not close. Said the company would order the part, charged us $179 and would return when the part arrived. I followed up in October, November, December, January and February and each time was told the part had not arrived. My husband found the part on Amazon and we relayed that to the owner. He came to our house (I don't know why) said he would order from Amazon and have the refrigerator repaired. I called twice in March and no return calls. What a horror! I called Raynor Appliance to get service for my dishwasher and am so sorry I did not read the reviews. I didn't get a great feeling when the individual who answered the phone spoke with little regard for the fact that I was a new customer needing assistance. Unfortunately, I let that pass and made an appointment to have a serviceman check out my dishwasher. Big mistake!! They were an hour later than promised and needed to call me with the cost of repair. I was promised they would call the next day and no later than the following morning. WhenI I called that afternoon I assume nasty Mr Raynor told me he was looking for the part. They came looked at my broken dryer said they needed to order a part. 4 weeks later still no part...they blamed delivery service. Now 5 weeks later they claim they got the part and were coming to fix the dryer FINALLY! Then another week went by they came to my house and took out another part from my dryer and said they had to do it at the shop and would be back at my house in 3 days to put it back in my dryer. 3 days passed and they said they would be coming in another 5 days. 5 days passed and they said they would be coming in another 7 days....7 days passed and they said they would come in another 2 days and so on and so on!!! PS they never came they don't call back and just come up with excuse after excuse. It's been 2 months and I still have no dryer no part for us to even call someone else to come and fix it. I don't even believe they ever ordered the part. I believe this company is a giant scam and they come to take the $130 service fee and just go around doing this without fixing anyone's appliances. Worst service experience I've ever had!!! I paid them $300 at the end of December to fix my dryer, and as of March it still isn't working. They rarely answer or return calls. The worst part is after I asked the secretary Kathy for a refund, she told me to call Joe Kalis in order to get my "money back guarantee". Had a technician come to the house to repair a refrigerator. He had no idea what to do. He then said we might need a part but wasn't sure. We called back again after not hearing from them. Washer repair although pricey went OK. Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Dryer repair a month later was a nightmare. Technician showed disassembled the unit and told me he needs a well or so for the part. After two weeks started to call them up only to be told that they will call back. Repair was to be about $400. Eventually after a month Mr.Raynor told me to find someone else to fix my dryer. However a receptionist called me back and scheduled repair for a week later. I went for it but it was a mistake. They charged me now $200 for part, $250 for repair plus another $95 for diagnostic. Found out online that the needed part was only about $60. Two weeks after repair and I still find some screws on the laundry floor and it feels like the dryer is not well out back together. Wouldn't hire them again ever. The guy who answered the phone was extremely rude. It was my first time calling them and the person who answered the phone did not care a bit about customer service. So any ways I told the person that one of the burner in the stove is not working, can you guys fix it. He rudely asked a few questions about the stove and said that they will send a technical home and the diagnostic is $86. He wanted to send the technician the next day but since I was not available I told the guy I wont be available tomorrow. So he said, how about Friday?. Do your self a favor and find another appliance company. We had them repair a GE monogram refrigerator that was leaking. They put in a new fan for $600+ and it still leaked. We called and called and they never came back. We had GE come. The problem was a leaking pan. $200 and the problem was fixed. What Raynor did had nothing to do with the problem. We are on our way to court and it still leaked. We called and called and they never came back. GE came and replaced a drip pan. $200 and problem solved. On February 16 unknown to me East Islip appliance is Raynor Appliance Service. $125.00 for service call paid in advance via credit card. When the technician arrived,he was there 10 minutes said i needed a new pump for my dishwasher-KitchenAid products were taking 10-14 days due to the pandemic. He also said that the fee I paid would go toward the total cost of $500. So I agreed . I waited over a month, called to ask for status (March 26th) the woman, pleasant said she needed to check and would get back to me. Never got a call. I waited TWO weeks and finally called only to be berated by this nasty nasty man. He said everyone is waiting and the product was coming to them in week. WELL that was 4 weeks ago. So if you want to waste money, not get your appliance fixed and be scammed and treated poorly then use Raynor Appliance. For the half hour it took to replace a $90 part we were charged $419 plus tax (a new washer would have been close to the same). This company is a mess. We booked an appointment with them to come out and repair a fridge. Later the same day, they called us to tell us they couldn't without information we didn't have on hand. When we told them this and asked why they didn't ask for that information when we originally booked, they told us we had an attitude and said "You know what? I tried to do you a favor. I have never been treated so rudely by someone who came into my home. First of all I was quoted a $68.00 service call and it turned out to be $98.00. The repair person was down right nasty & believe me my husband & I are hard working people & treat everyone with respect. We are going to eat the $98.00 and not have them do the work. Too bad I did not read these reviews. Joe fixed the hose and ice maker on my refrigerator. after 2 weeks the ice maker made ice but would not dispense. This time he told me I need a new mother board. I declined to put more money into a 10 year old refrigerator. Since everything worked I felt the iconvenience of reaching in for ice was not terrible. The refrigerator worked fine as did the freezer. 10 hours after Joe left my house, my refrigerator and freezer stopped working. He did not even have the courtesy of coming back to check on everything. $500 down the drain. Never use this company. read more
