    Tried a selection of dishes
    Jesse S.

So I finally got around to trying Raymond's Chinese food. Clean and easy parking. I tried several items on the menu. The fried squid appetizer. The sant and pepper pork . And the black bean fish. The squid was chewy and greasy. Same for the salt and pepper pork, somewhat lacking in flavor but very tender. The black bean fish lacked that black bean taste. But was the best of all the three items. They have weekly specials listed on the wall of the restaurant. Bathroom was clean.

    Hot and Sour Soup

Went for lunch and was not disappointed. Ordered the lunch special, selecting General's Chicken w/ fried rice. The portions were generous and everything tasty and fresh. The soup came first, hot and sour. Great texture and level of spice. Good vinegar portioning too. The sauce was delectable. Even got 2 bonus pieces of broccoli on the side which were fresh and al dente (not mushy at all). Included was the "hot appetizer" which was a yummy fried wonton stuffed with cream cheese and a little crab. I love the ambiance inside too - lots of light and I got lucky to have a sunny day. The staff are always friendly and usually parking out front is not an issue. Have also tried their takeout before and was not disappointed (though the moo shu pancakes were dry so will note to check that for future togo orders). Highly recommended!

    1. Egg Roll. Party tray size

Came here a few times to eat dinner with my family, everything we ordered was so good and super flavorful! Service was fast and really friendly staff. Plenty of parking in the lot and on the street. My family has also ordered a few party trays for different events. Some of our favorite dishes are the chicken corn soup, salt&pepper fish, Szechuan beef, general's chicken, spicy string beans, honey walnut shrimp, and pan fried noodles. Also their crab cheese puffs. Yum!! We love it!

    Sizzling beef platter.

As a last-minute find we found this cool Chinese restaurant. I really like the architecture of the building. The inside is very nice as well. The food was pretty good we had the sizzling beef platter, fried tofu, and white rice. This beef platter had really good flavor with a good amount of pepper. And the fried tofu is really nice too. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area!

I got the eggplant basil, asparagus shrimp and seafood chicken chow fun.

I was hungry and the food was delicious. Esp after a long day of fishing at Pacifica Pier. Something close and fast for Pacifica yeah 4 stars

This small Mom n Pop was just the place we were looking for. It's clean, cozy and quick! After a day of crabbing on the pier down the street, we wanted a sit down meal instead of fast food. I searched on Yelp and came across Raymond's. The place was empty, it quickly started filling up shortly after. The owner peered from the counter and served us hot tea. Lunch was still being served and we ordered off that. The lunch special comes with steamed rice and if you want fried rice, brown rice, or chow mein, it's $1 extra. Hubs got chow mein with his sweet sour chicken and I ordered fried rice with my Kung Pao shrimp. The egg flower soup was different than any I've ever tasted. Sorry, I didn't take a Pic, but it was good. Our food came out shortly after and it was piping hot. You can taste the quality in the dishes. Everything tasted fresh and not premade and sitting under a heat lamp. Both of our dishes were great. My Kung Pao had great flavor and good amount of heat. The sweet sour chicken was perfectly fried and delicious. Hubs only complaint was there was only two pieces of pineapple and no bell peppers. Overall, Raymond's was a great find! We left happy and satisfied with our choice! Hope you do too!

The minced meat sauce was flavorful, noodles had a nice chew, and the fresh cucumber and carrots added a good crunch. Not too salty, not too oily--just right. Portions were generous, presentation was nice, and everything tasted clean and comforting. Definitely a solid spot for comfort Chinese food. We'll 100% be back to try more items on the menu. You get some complimentary salted peanuts for the table to start. For our food, we ordered the spicy wontons, the pan fried soup dumplings, the pork and tofu in golden soup, beef noodle soup, green onion pancake, and some pork dumplings. They provide chili oil, soy sauce, and vinegar at the table for you. Everything tasted fine, but I thought the noodles used in the beef soup were a bit on the bland side - it didn't really soak up the flavor of the broth. The pan fried dumplings were my favorite dish - they also provide these giant whimsical soup spoons that you can use to eat these - there really wasn't any soup inside that spilled out when you bit into it, but the ratio to bread and meat was good and tasted nice with the vinegar and soy sauce drizzled on top.

After Covid, almost NO customers, and quite frankly I've wondered how they've lasted this long. Today, I placed my order, over the phone, and I should have sensed something then. The owner, IN ALL FAIRNESS, has been kind, decent, and pleasant. Hell, I remember us talking about his mom before she passed. But, today, he was so agitated. Walked in. And as I have done everytime, "Hey! How's it going?" An incoherent statement that I could not make out. Sorry. Excuse me. "I don't want to be here." Ummmmm, like on earth, or just at work. AND THE ANGRY DIATRIBE STARTED!!!!! He began to tell me about the exorbitant cost of his property tax, water, and PG&E, which is CRAZY!!!! I offer, "Maybe downsize to a smaller building." In a huff, "I own the building." Then I said, "Well shit is high because of the idiot in the white house." Then I said, "Ohhhhhh you're a trumper!" Ooooooooo WHY DID I SAY THAT He got all in his feels (as they all do), trying to say that is not why. Hmmm. Oh really???? We left full and still had plenty to enjoy while we were there. One thing I like about this restaurant is the dine in experience. They use actual cloth table covers and serve tea when you sit down, which gives it a more traditional feel. The larger tables also have lazy susans which makes sharing dishes easy and fun, especially when you come with family. The service was fantastic. They made helpful suggestions and also made sure we did not over order, which I appreciated. You can tell they want you to enjoy the meal, not just spend more money. The food overall was really good. I normally do not like hot and sour soup but they nailed it here. It was perfectly balanced and loaded with ingredients like tofu and mushrooms, super delicious and comforting. The fried rice was great and the Mongolian beef was done just right. A lot of places overload that dish with onions and green onions but this one was balanced perfectly. The sweet and sour pork was just ok for me, not bad but not my favorite dish of the meal. Even with that, I was still very happy with everything we ordered. I left feeling satisfied and taken care of. This spot delivers both on food and service, and it is the kind of place I would come back to when I want a relaxed sit down Chinese meal done right.

It's AYCE and located near the beach by a little shopping area in Pacifica. Beautiful area. The hosts greeted us with their great smile and sat us down right away. We chose the BBQ pot (half bbq to grill your meats and soup like shabu). I had the coconut pork bone soup and my hubby had the mushroom soup. Both were very tasty and the spice was spot on. They had a variety of meat choices and yes prime beef ribeye! You can either grill it or drop it on your soup. You can also create your condiments to dip your grilled meats. The rib eye, beef belly, pork belly were my favorites. You can tell the meats were of high quality and were fresh. You only need to grill the rib eye medium rare and wow it's amazingly delicious!!! Also they have a wide variety of appetizer, vegetable, seafood, tofu, I can go on! The Kalbi ribs as one of the appetizer was one of the best Kalbi I ever had. The marinate was sooo yummy and the meat was tender! The service was also amazing! They checked on us constantly and our orders came so quickly, it was unbelievable. Yes we were stuffed and happy! The green tea ice cream at the end cleansed our palette and it was a great dessert to end the meal. Afterwards we walked a few steps and the view of the beach was mesmerizing! This place is one of the best grilled and shabu place I have ever been. Wish we had one like this in SF, but the scenic drive to Pacifica is worth coming here. The food came out quickly for us to cook. I really enjoyed the New Zealand Lamb and all the vegetables. I wasn't a big fan of the sauces that we were able to customize at the sauce station since they were just normal Asian sauces. Overall a great place to come for AYCE. The price was also reasonable - $41.99 per person for 90 minutes. There is free parking available since it's located in a plaza. Our family had a great time which is all that matters.
