The decor and setting is cute and quirky, including cow sculptures hanging upside down from the ceiling. There were only a couple other visitors when we arrived, as it was near opening time. Our dishes took a whopping 35 minutes to be ready, and service was not very friendly nor helpful. Luckily, the music playing through the speakers added a nice vibe to the place, songs like Our House by Madness and Can't Fight This Feeling. We ordered the brunch pizza (with eggs cooked overeasy) and the breakfast flatbread which looked almost identical when served, as well as an iced mocha. The quality of the pizza was pretty average, and the eggs were slightly overcooked. The drink was really good, made fresh, with a smooth taste and a nice sweetness to it, the plastic cup coated in chocolate sauce. It tasted more like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee, which I personally enjoyed. They typically serve gelato here, but it would not be ready till almost two hours after opening time. So no milkshakes or cold desserts were available in the morning this past Sunday (no worries, Ghirardelli is just a block away). I appreciate the variety of menu items offered here. But they really should communicate online that their gelato's not ready till two hours into the day. If there's one thing that irks me about an establishment, it's failure to communicate appropriately. Even though our recent visit was somewhat disappointing, I still gave 3 stars, assuming this was an off day for them.

I'm so happy I purchased several boxes of these amazing chocolates. To say they're delicious is an understatement and one of my good friends is vegan and she really enjoyed it as it is very challenging to find a delicious chocolate high-quality and that kind of category. I personally am not vegan however, I love the flavor and it's so beautifully created each individual chocolate is phenomenal. I also tried the cookie salami which I sliced up and served at a party as part of my dessert table and everyone loved it. It's a traditional Romanian classic made in a healthy way. But I also sound very sweet was that with my order they gave me an extra gift, which was unexpected and I really enjoyed it as well. Try these chocolates you won't regret it. Their delivery is fast it shipped with high quality packaging. I would recommend fridge rating the chocolate as it is organic and if you want to take your time indulging in it, it stays the freshest that way in my personal experience. Can't wait to try the hot chocolate next. The owner is sweet & professional too! read more

This is the place to go in San Diego if you want a slice of luxury without the guilt. In short: get Le Signature, Le Noisette for a nutty flavor, and if they have it, The London Cake (think chocolate and caramel; currently obsessed with this one!!). Tip: Store cakes in a cold/cool place if not eaten immediately especially during a heatwave summer or you'll learn the hard way. Best eaten with unsweetened hot coffee. Here's the long review: Parfait Paris has been consistent with their cakes; I've been visiting them every time whenever I'm close to one for about 2 years. There are multiple locations; I've been to Carmel/Del Mar; Coronado, and Fashion Valley. I don't really stay to eat; I usually grab a couple of slices (avg price is $13/slice) and slowly savor it at home with black coffee. All I can say is that this bakery knows their flavors and textures. The bakery offers pastries, macarons, and other desserts but if you're undecided, get the cake. Esp if you love (like really love) chocolate. I've stuck to 2 cakes: Le Signature- has a light chocolate mousse filling with a shortbread crust and dark chocolate glaze. Le Noisette- an employee there once told me it was like a Ferrero Rocher but a cake version. Accurate description but so understated. The mousse filling is chef's kiss. The monthly special: The London Cake: it's definitely an upgraded version of a dark chocolate cake. Filled whipped caramel filling and chocolate cream; it was balanced and sweet but not in a way that makes your teeth scream. This is the cake that had me question all the chocolate cakes I've had in my life; and the one where I go back the next day, like literally drive the extra mile(s), to get another slice. A little bias here but I've tried the mango bliss cake in the past. Decent flavors and texture as described but not as impressed as their chocolate ones.
