There was an error with the salad but they were calling us before we even made it home and immediately delivered the correct salad. I ordered the Italian Beef sandwich with Mozzerella, Pepperoncinis and au jus; this was flavorful dipped in Au jus, however I'd try another signature T's dish for my next meal here since I've had the best Italian Beef sandwiches in Chicago. Last night my husband ordered me the same sandwich and cheese sticks for dinner before I got home. The sandwich was nowhere near as hot as the one I'd had last time, but they really need to not put romaine lettuce on it, because it's very limp leaves of lettuce with very thick stalky parts of the lettuce. I had to pick it off. Otherwise the sandwich was pretty good. You kind of get both ends of the spectrum when it comes to the bread, though. The bottom is soggy, drippy, and falling apart, while the rest of it ranges from chewy and good to too hard to even bite into. Last time we got wings - a huge order for the whole family, the 20 pc I think - and we ate 2. They were definitely drumstick style, bone-in wings which we usually love, and we ordered the BBQ. They still had the skin on them, but it was loose skin, not like grilled and crispy. That totally made me gag, and we ended up throwing the other 18 away. Neither one of us likes fatty, hang-off-the-chicken loose skin. And of course, once you peel off the skin, the sauce is gone, so it's just like eating plain old oven baked chicken legs. They really need to either grill them or cook them so that the skin gets crispy. Seriously, I'm gagging just remembering them. The mozzerella sticks were certainly not homemade. More like something that comes frozen to them and then just fried on site. That's not my kind of food for the price. You can get that at a Chili's, TGIFriday's, or even McDonald's if you wanted to. I was expecting them to be more like their toasted ravioli. The pizza never disappoints, however, so if you're going to go to Rosati's stay away from anything on the menu other than their pizza. I'm giving them 3 stars because their pizza is so good. If I could judge the other items separately from the pizza, I'd say the other food is no more than a 1, especially given how long their delivery times are, because the food is maybe room temp at best by the time you get it. But if you average out the great pizza with the other mediocre to yucky stuff, I guess a 3 works. Plus they sell 20oz bottles of coke products which is great when you realize you're all out at home and they can deliver it with your pizza. Rock on for Coke products.
