It took the young high school kid three tries to get the order right, first charging me for four orders rather than for for cannoli. We have always supported Rosati's and have enjoyed their pizzas over the years but last week was a different story. We ordered a large two topping, and there was barely any mushrooms on it. You couldn't even see them and the sausage, well, we didn't even get one piece per each slice. We never used to mind paying a little more for their quality, but this was ridiculous! $35 for basically a cheese pizza with a few chunks of sausage! read more

They have a card on the counter with the owners info (cell number, email) which I tried calling but just went to a full voicemail box so its definitely not a phone they keep up with. Unfortunately, this particular Rosati's has plummeted the past year with service and quality!!! The kids working there are all stoned and there's never a manager to see their shortcomings. After last night, I will boycott this location as well as many of my surrounding neighbors. We ordered a pick up at 420pm. They said 35-40. Get there at 5, noticing SEVERAL customers yelling and walking out .....sat till 540 waiting for food. Got a food credit, but look at this photo... are you KIDDING ME!!!!!!! Dried pasta, no olive oil, didn't even cut sausage, no shaved Asiago .......I've attached a photo of what I received and a photo with description on their menu. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here over the past 10 years. Really disappointed in my last 5 orders. Update: things were good past few months. My calls were answered ... now... past 3x I tried to order, phone was never answered or busy and if answered put on hold and never came back to take order. TODAY... tried calling for almost 30 min ... busy .. I drove down there cause I clearly wanted a pizza... no one up front, I walked in and it beeped, NOTHING. I go back to my car. I see a guy park and think maybe he's delivery, so go back in ...wait 2 min and say hello ... finally guy comes out. Just ordered 3 Calzones from here , 2 with Hot Gardenias peppers and one without. They tasted very bland and could not find the peppers. Finally found some all bunched together in the end of the calzone. It should be throughout the calzone not just one one end. Need to step it up. read more

Burnt pizza becomes an Extremely sad day when your complaint is logged as a "I'm not going to argue with you" instead of I am so sorry, what can we do to make this right. The pizza could be good (It is in other locations) but I think the staff is all stoned. 3 bad pizzas! I didn't complain until the 3rd. All 3 were 1/2 2 items. Well all 3 times the ingredients were all over. Square cut and the manager says "Maybe it was cut wrong"......Smoked up. I'll be ordering from Raydees. I recommend you do as well. Pizza is always good but the manager is a real JERK . Its sad because i live here in the subdivision and i really love the pizza but i won't pay for poor service and an ugly attitude !! I called in an order at 7:37 and was told 25-30 minutes which is pretty normal when my son arrived at 8:20 h was told 5 more minutes ... talked to Ashley who sai she is the OWNER and was given an apology with so much attitude i felt like telling her to take the pizza and stick it where the sun don't shine !!! Single slice serving - one very large slice of pepperoni costs $3.22. It is big enough for an entire meal. That can be a good thing. On the other hand, it really wasn't very good. There was a decent amount of pepperoni on it, but it wasn't served hot. The tomato sauce is thin and undistinguished and had no flavor- I really think it came from a bottle. Very little cheese. Crust was thick and doughy, but not like a deep dish pizza or anything like that. Just doughy and chewy. Also not to my taste. There are a few tables with bar stools in front, maybe enough seating for 6 or 8 people. This place is definitely designed for carry-out. It's not a restaurant, it's a pizza place. We had a bad experience ordering from this Rosati's over a year ago (although, right now, I can't remember exactly what turned us off at that time), so we hadn't ordered from here for a lonnggg time.. decided to give it another try a few wks ago because we had some coupons, we were pleased with that experience! But, ordered 2 sandwiches and some pizza dough nuggets yesterday evening.. After waiting a good 1-1/2 hrs for delivery (was told 45 min-1 hr when I called), the sandwiches and fries were way cold (I had to warm it up in the micro)...and the delivery guy had no idea where our order of dough nuggets was at! He offered to have the nuggets redelivered to us (my husband realllly wanted them!) so i said ok... about 45 min. later, we had the dough nuggets at our door. I seriously doubt if we will order from here again. read more

Waited 70 minutes for a pizza. Pizza was over priced, $19.00 for 14" with just two toppings! Pizza was soggy and average at best. When I arrived, pizza was pulled from a warmer and not fresh! Clearly they do not have a handle on their lead, prep and cooking times. Note to Management: All new restaurants in Valpo are tested initially by many locals. These customers decide whether they will be back or not. The restaurant will be very busy in the beginning until the word gets out. I have seen many restaurants in Valpo fail through the years because this is not a large enough community to sustain an average restaurant. The price was about par with the other pizza places in the area, but the wait was drastically longer. We didn't even get stuffed or deep dish, but it took 40 minutes. Every single order that came out for other customers was either marked wrong or just a different order completely! The first time we got it, I thought it was fantastic and worth the incredibly long wait. The pizza was terrific, and I thought the toasted ravioli were also great. The second time we got it, I got the sub sandwich, and it was so hot from the pepperoncini that it literally gagged me. They must have squeezed the pepperoncini on there first and then added more. I love love love hot and spicy food, but this was so unexpected that I didn't like it, nor could I even eat most of it. Last night my husband ordered me the same sandwich and cheese sticks for dinner before I got home. The sandwich was nowhere near as hot as the one I'd had last time, but they really need to not put romaine lettuce on it, because it's very limp leaves of lettuce with very thick stalky parts of the lettuce. I had to pick it off. Otherwise the sandwich was pretty good. You kind of get both ends of the spectrum when it comes to the bread, though. The bottom is soggy, drippy, and falling apart, while the rest of it ranges from chewy and good to too hard to even bite into. Last time we got wings - a huge order for the whole family, the 20 pc I think - and we ate 2. They were definitely drumstick style, bone-in wings which we usually love, and we ordered the BBQ. They still had the skin on them, but it was loose skin, not like grilled and crispy. That totally made me gag, and we ended up throwing the other 18 away. Neither one of us likes fatty, hang-off-the-chicken loose skin. And of course, once you peel off the skin, the sauce is gone, so it's just like eating plain old oven baked chicken legs. They really need to either grill them or cook them so that the skin gets crispy. Seriously, I'm gagging just remembering them. The mozzerella sticks were certainly not homemade. More like something that comes frozen to them and then just fried on site. That's not my kind of food for the price. You can get that at a Chili's, TGIFriday's, or even McDonald's if you wanted to. I was expecting them to be more like their toasted ravioli. The pizza never disappoints, however, so if you're going to go to Rosati's stay away from anything on the menu other than their pizza. I'm giving them 3 stars because their pizza is so good. If I could judge the other items separately from the pizza, I'd say the other food is no more than a 1, especially given how long their delivery times are, because the food is maybe room temp at best by the time you get it. But if you average out the great pizza with the other mediocre to yucky stuff, I guess a 3 works. Plus they sell 20oz bottles of coke products which is great when you realize you're all out at home and they can deliver it with your pizza. Rock on for Coke products. read more

I don't know what's going on, but the last three visits have resulted in them being the last this franchise will see any of my money. The last one bore no resemblance to the Rosati's that I knew. Cheap cheese, cheap salty sausage (and a very meager amount) made for a VERY un-palatable, almost inedible pie. Even our second, veggie pizza was awful. As much as we look forward to having cold pizza the next day, these went uneaten. I'm really sorry to dump on what was once my local fave, but I guess things change here, too. read more

The pizza is very, very good yet, if you order two different kinds of pizza? They don't have enough sense to cook them to where they are done at the same time.We ordered two different pizzas. One was sausage and mushroom and the other was a supreme. They put them in at the same time but, they have different cooking times so, when the supreme got done the other was ice cold . This happened more than once which is why ( unfortunately) we don't order from there anymore . read more

Quite possibly the absolute worst Chicago style pizza we've ever had. I've had frozen deep dish pizzas that were better. The crust was very thin and almost no cheese on it. Ordered a full slab of ribs. DRY DRY DRY!! They couldn't be ripped apart by hand. It was as if they were frozen then microwaved into oblivion. Definitely not worth it. The Cheef sandwich was alright. Not nearly as much beef as when they opened. Again, the beef was dry and almost tough. This place had sadly gone way down hill. read more

The owner/manager is a nasty woman. I believe her name is Ashley. She didn't give my credit card back to me. When I went back to retrieve it from her she was vile and accusatory towards me. It wasn't her fault, it was mine. I indicated to her that she could have called me because she had my information. She looked at me and said I wasn't here! What? As I stepped back outside, she accused me of being drunk! At that point I had to step back in the store and it just got worse from there. She says to me the card was on the counter the whole time, it's on camera! No, that card was not on the counter. I would have seen it because of the glare from the lighting. She threw the pizza box on the counter and blurted out "here's your pizza! I wanted to get out of there as fast as I possibly could. She has always been horrible to people. I witnessed her with someone a while back, and she was as nasty as could be. The woman asked her if she was mad, she says NO! ARE YOU?! Rosati's corporate office needs to look into this person. I have been a very good customer, spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars over the years with this establishment. on 10/9/19 at 12:16pm I placed an order online for the rosatti in Hobart Indiana, I received at text message that my order would be completed by 1:18pm, within five min I received another notification that my order would take 90 min to complete, all this was ok with me. I waited. I started to notice it was longer so I called just to see if they was on their way. a young lady picked up the phone and stated "sorry we are closed" and hung up. I called back twice because at this point my card was already charged and I had yet to received the items I ordered. I looked online and found a 630 corporate number I spoke to a young lady there who directed me to 847-426-8899 number and stated that the location in Hobart was handled from that office. as I called that number a Kathy Davidson answer( now let me stop here for a moment, this lady never Identified herself I found out her name through the other number after this lady hung up the phone over three times) as I was telling her and updating her on what happen, Kathy Davidson became belligerent and rude and accused me of yelling at her when she was the one yelling, she stated " don't talk to me in that tone, I don't have to put up with this" and proceeded to hand up the phone. now in no moment was I rude yelling or even cussed at this woman, when I asked to speak to someone over her and told her she is a poor representation of customer service to this company she then proceed to continue yelling and hang up the phone. I called the 630 number and spoke to a young lady there and told her what occurred on the phone now I was disrespted shorted on the item I ordered, the young lady stated that's the number that handles Hobart and that another lady name jasmine also handles customer services issues. so I called the 847 number again and Kathy Davidson answer the phone again, I asked to speak to jasmine, she started screaming and stated " I forward ur issue already you don't need to to speak to anyone else" I politely stated please let me speak to jasmine , the lady put me on hold for about two min and then came back on the phone and stated " she not here " and hung up again. so I called again this time she allowed the phone to ring and ring and the voice mail picked up on the voice mail it stated different option on who you can leave a message for , I heard her name and jasmine and then extension 102 for Anthony rossatti, I pressed 102 and guess who answered the phone KATHY DAVIDSON! she proceeded with her rude and belligerent way and accused me of yelling whole time she was the one yelling I told her that I was aware they have an area or a regional manager someone who she responds too, and that I had pressed 102 which correct me if I was wrong was not her extension, so why was she answering? she continues to yell at me over the phone and hung up again. so again I placed another call and this time Jasmine picked up, now I am upset because again I have paid for an a delivery that I didn't get and the location stated to be closed. ii explain to jasmin that and then now had another concern about the poor customer service of Kathy Davidson. jasmine who stepped up and helped and forwarded the issue to the owner of the rossatti establishment, to see about the refund of my money. as I got off the phone with her, the rosatti driver shows up with my order. I had to politely decline, I told the driver I don't understand why whomever answer the phone would stated what they did but it has cause a ripple effect of issues, and I would like the items returned and my money refunded. jasmine did end up calling me back asking me if the owner of the Hobart location ever did call me, I stated no never got a phone call but that I did stop payment through my bank so the charged is flagged. she stated " I was given the impression they would call you" again I stated no, but that I would be following up on the poor customer service and experience of not only this location put of the poor representation of the Hobart location owner as well as Kathy Davidson is to this company .... truly it is an unfortunate shame!!! read more
