From the reviews I see shoddy work, poor work enviornment, low pay for employees, sketchy services. And now I add that, as a sub-contractor, I had done some work at their central location over a year ago now and still have not been paid. The invoice is re-sent regularly, phone calls are sent to a mailbox and unreturned. If they can't pay their sub-contractors, I can't imagine the conditions at the office or the quality of the work. I was writing a scathing review listing all of the problems I've had in the past with Rayacom, but ended up deciding to just say this: If you decide you'd like to use their services, don't do it when you need things quickly. Often there are many mistakes and reprints involved. I think they focus more on large clients. P.S. after reading some of the other reviews I realize I am not alone. Once, I went to pick up an order that was way overdue, only to find out that there were 3 customers waiting for staff to show up to work, lost orders and mistakes for all three of us. It's sad when ordering from another company in Toronto is easier and quicker than working with a local company. read more

Having seen Rayacom's printing deals on twitter for a few months and seeing their special on business cards I thought I'd give them a try. I called the store they said the special is only available online & they won't take my order or artwork over email. Fine, so I went back to their site - BIG MISTAKE. I went in to the store in person to see the proof, the price was actually more than quoted online (single sided/double sided are different prices I get that).The big problem came when the day after I cancelled the order in store I get a call from some guy with a heavy accent asking about the cards. He went on to ask for my DOB to cancel... 'uhm what?' He called back 6 times. I googled the number, it's a magic jack number. Long and the short of it, an unsecure sever led to my info being hacked. I spent a couple hours on the phone with Visa canceling my card and explaining the situation. I called Rayacom right away to let them know what happened. they promised an investigation and that they would call back. 7 days, 3 phone calls and a tweet later... I still haven't heard a peep from them except for the generic email they sent to all customers with a warning. Nothing in the email saying they have an unsecure server and no apology. Be warned. STAY AWAY! The 1 star is for Arthur who was ok to deal with in person. UPDATE: I finally got my refund this week (mid July). It took a few months and a threat that I'd file a report of fraud, but I finally got it. What an epic fail of a company. read more

Would not recommend. The young British boys must think the job they have is a joke. I went in to have some things printed after being quoted a price from one of there reps via email. When I arrived at the 116st location I sat down with one of the employees and discussed what I needed done. They told me I couldn't get the number of flyers i needed done(2500) and that i should get the 5000 flyers printed instead because it was a better deal. I told them clearly that i only needed 2500 and they insisted that i buy 5000 because 2500 would probably cost more.... well i told them I already had a quote from one of the other reps for $150 less than 5000 flyers and oh guess what now they can all of the sudden print my quantity of flyers. Also when I was sitting in the office, a customer phoned in asking to speak with perhaps a rep. The guy who answered just put the phone on hold, laughed a bit, then sat there with out even checking.... He must have let the customer sit on hold for 5 mins before saying "sorry not available".... I don't know about these guys, they seem shady to me and seem like they are out to rip people off... I would stay away from them and find another print shop! read more

My first time using Rayacom for a big print job and it was a huge success. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. It's all quite formal, I was a bit put off at first. You meet with a sales rep in their office, they look at your files, do a bit of fancy Photoshop work if necessary (adding bleeds), then they give you a quote. The quote sounded good to me so we went ahead with my order for postcards and posters. I was told two days turnaround, but they actually completed the job in one and called me right away. Impressive! The receptionist and my sales associate were both very professional. I really appreciate that they can keep my credit card on file for future jobs and that I can e-mail my rep (Tee - he was great!) with my next batch of files. Makes the whole thing way less of a hassle - I'll only have to stop in once, just to pick up! Anything that makes my life a little bit easier deserves at least four stars. read more

Rayacom is great. We need cards and flyers printed for three of our studios and their staff are helpful and accommodating and they're always happy to tell you what current specials they have. Usually always unprompted. They keep our files on file so I can easily call them up and tell them that we need another run of a certain card or flyer and they have them sometimes next day! Very unreliable print shop- I was able to pace an order however they have promised a completion date, then on the completion date did not communicate they experienced a delay. I understand somethings things happen: but this is a business, not coming to a friend house for coffee, so please communicate with your customer. Promised to have a portion done a following day: not a call, not an email, now- it is day 3 and no communication from them. Dear prospect customer: please consider printing elsewhere where they deliver on promises, as if we keep giving business to places that do not deliver services they will not improve! read more

I dunno. Ive tried with this location and its always the same outcome. Its seems to be staffed and managed by well intentioned millennials. I came to pick up an order and waited 20-30 min!! while some poor kid scrambled back and forth around the mess in back in search of it. Here's an idea....have damn shelf/area for completed orders. "See...this is where orders for P.U. go." Went in to look for business card info and stock. We were directed to a table with a few jumbled messy piles of random cards. The person had no idea what any of it was. Me.."Ok whats this card's card stock (pts) and style? We're looking for this and this etc." Them "I dont know let me go ask...." Talks with another guy directly around the corner who apparently knew the answers, but was simply too lazy to get off his azz and at least peak around the corner to directly answer/help. This "middleman relay" of useless information that persisted to any and all of our questions was beyond frustrating and a complete and utter waste of our time. It was a few pretty simple questions really. Why the hell should we need to ask one question at a time so this person can run to the back to ask someone else? This poor girl was trying her best, it really wasnt her fault, she was clearly trained? or not trained? by what is obviously completely inept management. Poor management = Poor staff. These guys would've had our consistent business, as we liked their prices and offerings but we cant afford to have that part of our business rely on children who dont know what the hell is going on and what appears to be one of the worst managed/run millennial daycare/businesses we have dealt with in years. We really dont need a different headache every time which is what it's been. Are you guys trying to chase us to the "other guys"? Bravo, because you've finally succeeded. Absolutely Brutal. Abysmal. There are many wonderful printing services in Edmonton, do not use Rayacom. I was quoted 3 different prices. I told Rayacom I needed my order by a certain date and they had 20 days to do it. They told me it would be done in "4". I called them every single day after the 4th day, each time being told that my proof was ready and would be emailed. It was finally sent to me on the 14th day. When I received the proof I started laughing... The graphic designers who work here are embarrassingly amateur and cannot do basic processes such as color matching, re-sizing, or cropping. I was actually pretty shocked at how horrible my proof was. There was pixelization, uneven dimensional re-sizing, and images were cropped so unevenly that actual chunks of the image were gone. My order is past due and I have yet to receive a fixed proof. read more

I recently needed to print out business cards and flyers so I came to Rayacom, since I have been driving past this place for ages, and never had a reason to come in. After being greeted by a receptionist and explaining the purpose of my visit, I was offered a sit and asked to wait. The wait was rather long the reason for that being that all employees were assisting other customers. When it was my turn, I was helped by CiCi. She didn't rush but rather made sure she fully understood what I was asking for. She allowed me to preview what the final product would look like, named the price and told me that everything would be ready in a week. 250 business cards and 100 brochures cost me $70, which I believe is a good deal. read more

Rayacom - Printing Services Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

Rayacom is one of the most difficult companies to deal with. We had a 20,000+ flyer print run scheduled with them and we were given a time of completion of about two weeks. After three weeks we called them and the manager told us that she was waiting on us to approve the "proof". Not only had we already approved the proof, but we had to pay extra money for it. So there I was three weeks later with nothing but excuses from this company. When the flyers were done they were a very nice color, however, the paper was a lot thinner than I expected. I wanted to see the "sample" again that I had selected, but it was no longer available. I went online to try out some other printing companies and let me tell you. Local printing is SLOWER and MORE EXPENSIVE than printing with online companies. If you go online, and I highly recommend it, be sure to call the company and get help setting up your files. They are usually really good at double checking everything for you. All-in-all I was disappointed in Rayacom and predict that it is only a matter of time before they go under. read more

Seriously folks, I have never experienced any place with such a lack of professionalism and customer service in over 40 years in the business world. They do not return phone calls, do not respond to e-mails and have more excuses than most kids could ever invent. What truly is most reprehensible is their complete lack of integrity and any degree of concern for even a smidgen of professionalism and respectful business acumen. Again, after 40+ years, I am shocked to find such a business and seriously doubt they will ever survive in today's economy with such deplorable attitudes.
