Ray Varner Ford saved our vacation!! We were traveling from Ohio to South Carolina when our antilock brake system started failing. We called the closest place which by sure luck was a Ford dealership. It was 4:30pm on Friday and they would be closing at 6pm, so we got there as quick as we could. They got our car in immediately and ran the diagnostic codes to see what was going on. The part they needed was in Atlanta and initially, they said they wouldn't be able to get us back on the road until about noon the next day. However, they didn't stop there! They were bound and determined to get us going that night, so they went one step further and called their service line to check into interchangeable parts. Turns out the new 2018 Escape have the same part as our 2014 Explorer - so they switched it out with one from the lot and got us back on the road at 6pm! Exceeding our expectations! The facilities are impressive and the best part for us was the play room stocked with toys!! We have a one year old and a three year old and they were well-entertained! They also walked around the showroom and every single employee that they interacted with was extremely friendly! Very pleasant place to do business with.Got a oil change and tire rotation with out an appointment. It only took about an hour.Quick Lane was very clean and neat.Terry Melissa and the rest of the crew were all very good at what they did.I chose this dealership for my oil change because I bought my 2016 Ford 350 there.I recently had some warranty work done there and was very pleased with the service I received.I became good friends with Brad the mechanic that worked on my truck. He took the time to show the problem with my truck and even the part that was defective.He was able to order a new part and have it on the next day. I was also very pleased with Sales Manger Robert and Salesman Lou who were a great help in finding my new truck in Alabama just what I was looking for.I am now thinking about another Ford 350 for my wife. I have all ready contacted Robert and Lou and I think we have found a new truck a another Dealership.This is the Dealership that I plan to stay with.NO pressure no hype .Just good friendly honest people. I bought a brand new Ford explored through Ray Varner Ford. It has 2000 miles on it and the back passenger seat broke. called and made an appointment with service. had me to bring my car in and they kept it for 4 weeks. only time I heard anything from them is when I called. they could not call and keep me up to date on what they were doing or waiting on for my Explore.. I called Ford Headquarters and had them to check and find out what the problem was. Ford Headquarters had me to go get my car and said when the part came in that they would call me, well yesterday they finally had me to bring my car back in and they decided to put a brand new seat in. all I have to say is if I ever have any more trouble out of this Explorer I will never use Ray Varners again. We were on our way to the Smoky Mountains when our engine light started flashing indicating a misfiring cylinder that could result in a ruined catalytic converter or even an engine fire. Ray Varner was the closest dealer, but I was hesitant to stop as it was a Saturday. They got us in and out in less than an hour and a half. Fortunately, it was all covered under warranty! Knowing we were from out of town and basically at their mercy, they still took great care of us. My Mother had steering issues with her 2002 Lincoln. She took it to an independent service center in Oak Ridge close to her house. That dealer diagnosed the issue but said parts were on national back order. She called and ask me what she should do. I live in Indiana so I googled Ford dealer close to her house and recommended her to take it to Ray Varner Ford in Clinton. The service manager, John Miller said the parts were on back order but he took the time to locate the part and get her back on the road within 48 hours. We purchased an Edge last week, and we dealt with Mike Cox at Ray Varner. Mike is not high pressure, and he is very good to respond by e-mail or text when you contact him. Mike took time to demonstrate all the features on our new car before we left the dealership. In previous years when we were looking for a vehicle, we visited several other Knoxville area dealers, but their high pressure approach was very disappointing. I decided to go to Varner Ford and had a very good experience w/sales (he listened well, great "out the door price" and found the new 25' Ranger Lariet I was considering). Quick lane is not so quick. The last two times I have gone it has taken at least a couple of hours to get an oil change. And I understand it's the desk attendant's job to inform customers of other things their vehicle may need but I feel like they pressure some folks a little too hard to buy their other parts and services.
