By the grace of God, I found Cambridge Windows and Doors, a locally owned company in Stafford,…read moreTexas. I decided to check them out to replace my front entry door. I had been looking for a beautiful new entry door for some time and finally found it at Cambridge, "The Best Little Door House in Texas". From the first time I sat down with the owner, Michael Stinson, to discuss the door, I knew this was the company I wanted to work with to build and install my new door. This is an owner and a company of integrity, expertise, and over 30 years of experience in building doors and windows. Michael is a perfectionist and expects nothing less of his people who build and do the installations. I was given a tour of the work rooms where they do their "magic" to assemble these beautiful doors, all the way from the planks of wood with the bark still intact to the gorgeous finished product. It was amazing. The gentleman who builds, sands and finishes the doors, Adolfo, is an unbelievable woodworking artist . Mario and Mario II were experts installing the door, which requires a lot of skill and is a messy job, but my foyer was as clean when they left as when they came, maybe cleaner. They cleaned up every speck, super nice men. There are so many beautiful doors to choose from, it's difficult to choose, not only the door, but the hardware as well; however, Michael is an expert in helping you choose the perfect door and hardware to match the style and exterior of your home. I rarely review companies, but this company is too amazing not to. After all, your front door is like the elegant jewelry of your home. I looked at a lot of door companies in Houston; Cambridge Doors and Windows far surpassed all of them in quality, expertise, and customer service from start to the finished install. I will not hesitate to have them replace my windows when the time comes.

We will def use them again for the rest of our windows! We replaced an old builder grade front door and put storm doors on all exterior doors. The front door is composite but it looks like real wood. It is really beautiful. The installations were all perfect and comprehensive. The Cambridge crew did a great job on everything: professional, great work, on time, and neat. Diana coordinated the installations and kept us well informed at all stages. One small hiccup is being resolved as I write this. They don't have a big crew so we had to be a bit flexible on scheduling, but they show up when they say they will and work hard the whole time. We will definitely use them again when we replace French doors on patio. Highly recommend this company, we are happy with everything!

He recommended some other options for me to look at doors that may be a little bit more affordable and I did. So thankful for that piece of information. He picked up my doors for me within the three day grace period of where I bought them from and was out in the same week to install . Confirming time and date with him was a little stressful because his day fluctuates with what he's got going on so I was a little nervous that it wasn't going to happen right away . But he is a man of his word and called me on Friday morning to let me know that I was going to to have my doors installed in the morning . His crew was so professional, nice very clean tidy worked efficiently He charges $475 per door, which is a little expensive, but I believe it was worth it.

I received beautiful windows and a modern high quality door installation I am very pleased and would highly recommend Lewis Windows and Doors.

Tim Lewis and his team perform top quality work. He is consummate professional, responsive,…read morerespectful, honest, and does not try to upsell you, rather Tim does his best to make a recommendation that best fits your needs. I reached out to Tim Lewis via phone call (I don't think the linked website works anymore) to have him quote my parent's house for a full window replacement and a 8' full pane door replacement. Not only did Lewis Windows & Doors come in much cheaper than the other bigger guys, they also quoted us using a superior product. Not only that, the crew that Tim brings along are all professionals and they all work efficiently and safely. There is no sketchy guess work and there are no close calls. Everything is measured twice, maybe even three times, and cut once. The whole house was also cleaned post window install, so the only evidence that any work had been done was the new windows and door, new caulking, and dust free window sills. Tim and his team did such a good job that I still remember install day and interacting with Tim even though we worked with him roughly two years ago. When we quoted with Tim Lewis, he strongly recommended the NT Windows (North Texas Windows) product line along with an Amish made door (I forgot the brand name) and multiple years later, we are still impressed. The windows and new door keep noise and heat out--and Yes the difference is definitely noticeable. Tim uploaded some pictures of my parent's house onto Yelp already, so the "pictures from business owner" are representative of his work. I recently reached out to Tim via text message asking about replacing one of the windows due to a seal failure (the windows we chose use a vacuum seal to insulate against heat and noise) and he responded in a timely manner. Please support local businesses if you can! Tim is a very busy guy these days, so best to quote with him while you can.

By far the worst company I've had the displeasure of dealing with in 25 years of living in Houston…read more Absolutely no communication from the company, phone or email. I needed a window replaced after the seal leaked, which has a lifetime warranty. After no response trying to contact the company, it took a separate call to their sales representative to have someone measure the window. After that, complete ghosting for five weeks. I finally got the sales representative again to contact the owner and again the communication black out started. Eventually I received an email indicating the window would be replaced on a specific day but no time. And once again no further communications...no one showed up to replace the window, no one returned my email or phone calls trying to reschedule. What good is a warranty if they don't honor it. Bottom line customer service in this company is non-existent. If you want to be ignored, disrespected, lied to give them a call they won't disappoint and for that they get five stars.

Phil gave clear pricing to me on the charges and asked important questions about the hardware they selected -- informing me that some brands don't work with others. This was good information to pass along to my parents in case they needed to make any exchanges at the hardware store prior to his visit. I easily scheduled a next day, Saturday, appointment for them. It was easy to text Phil their address and contact information. On Saturday, Phil texted me and informed me that he was running a little ahead of schedule and could come about an hour or so early. My parents mentioned that he was respectful, courteous and a professional. I was told he wore his ID and explained all the work that he did. They said his work quality was excellent and that they we were happy with the results. Additionally, they said his pricing was fair. for three doors/knobs/re-keys.
