What can I say about Ray & Dot's? It's a Milwaukee staple. It is where you should be. So go there. Your Grandpa would be proud.

Horrible service and they don't put any alcohol in the drinks. Huge stigma here.

Our server was very honest with her recommendations, including the pork slider, and her recs did not disappoint. We got $2.50 sliders (monday deal) with choices of pulled pork, fried chicken, or angus. I tried all 3 and was not disappointed by any of them. The pork one alone had good depth, especially with it being a slider. We also got the cheesy jalapeño corn dip which was delicious. One thing they advertise is their beer list, and it did not disappoint. For those looking for a challenge, you can join their brew crew which entails trying the continuous cycle of new beers they have to attempt to get your name on the board and move up in the ranks. Definitely a fun task to take on for beer lovers in the area!

A friend and I came just to have a few drinks and the drinks were delicious. I was so super excited to discover that they had my all time very beer; New Glarus Raspberry Tart! The only other bar that I've been to that has this beer, is Sugar Maple. So that was really awesome! We tried a cocktail and then a blueberry cream cider, which were also really delicious. Lots of beers on tap! The food looked good but we didn't eat. I'd definitely return! Service was friendly! There is a parking lot but it fills up fast.

The main dining area has booths and chair/tables. The vibe is simple elegance. Quality seating, lighting and decor. Nice ambiance. Jaden was our server, perhaps he is new-ish because his timing wasn't quite right with everything although he executed his duties. He brought out waters and offered to bring other beverages. I was only drinking water and it was never refilled until I asked another server passing by. Our food was brought out by someone else. By the time Jaden came back to check on us, we were practically finished eating. My son's wine glass is now empty, but no offer to bring another glass, my son had to ask for it. The food was pretty good, although presentation needs a little work. They enjoyed the Drunken Shrimp appetizer. I had Dana's Parmesan crusted chicken with Betty's potatoes and green beans. All were delicious! My son had the steak sandwich which he said was good, but the heat lamp french fries that came with it were not fresh which was a bummer. DIL enjoyed the crab, shrimp and lobster bisque soup. Dessert was a large piece of chocolate cake (not too sweet) and scoop of vanilla ice cream. Definitely shareable. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch here and would definitely go back again. The criticisms are just feedback for improvement.

I was saddened that the beans and rice had zero flavor and my stuffed poblanos were more cheese than anything. And I like cheese, but it was just too much for that dish. Overall, I had to put hot sauce on everything just to finish it. We had great service immediately after being seated, but after receiving our food we were not checked on again until flagging the waitress for our bill. No refills on drinks, no "how's the food". The restaurant wasn't even busy, with only two other tables of guests besides ours. The most offensive thing of all was a line item on the bill for non-cash fee. This was not disclosed of time, and legally in Wisconsin an added credit card charge needs to be posted at the entrance and point of sale, and not to exceed 3% of the bill. Our non-cash fee was nearly 4% of the total bill after taxes. That's not cool at all. I won't be coming back, and wouldn't recommend dining here to my friends. Maybe their food truck has better offerings? I've always heard good reviews about Romero's so this was such a letdown.

Don't let the white jackets on the servers fool you, they are relaxed and personable. It's a supper club. They may not have the most extensive menu, but I don't know of anyone who has ever had a issue with what they ordered. Normally, I'm the person who goes out to try something different. JG's is an exception that this rule. I love lamb, especially lamb chops when they are prepared properly. I have always been satisfied with the lamb chops. Simply the best. Tonight we came with another couple, who were celebrating a birthday. They are members of JGs loyalty club. At our table, they had left a handwritten card with birthday greeting. They were also entitled to a discount. We have had this server before, and have always impressed with the professionalism, and helpfulness. After ordering a round of drinks, with a couple of excellent old fashioned, we were ready to place our food order. Of course I got the Lamb Chops, and the others ordered, Chicken Piccata, Steak Diane, and Bacon Wrapped Scallops. While we waited, there was bread and small tray of crackers and spreads (I do wish they served an actual relish tray). Didn't take that long for the food. It was all hot, flavorful and good portions. My Lamb Chops were a perfect medium rare. The sides were also sufficiently hot, which was an improvement over our last visit. All the other entrees were excellent. And everyone had some leftovers to take home. For dessert the birthday boy got a free Schaum Torte. We added to that with a Brandy Alexander, which was hand mixed and not overblended. And a Creme Brulee, freshly torted so that caramel with dry and brittle, not soft and tacky. A great way to end a superb meal. Definitely a place that we look forward to returning too!

My husband liked the clam chowder but mostly only broth. We both had fries for our potato choice. The fries and fish were both crispy and good. The fish was breaded not battered. I liked the creamy coleslaw. Not much of a vinegar coleslaw fan so I was happy. The price of $14.99 for the fish dinner I feel was very reasonable.
