Absolutely cool lil sushi place with even cool wall art! Husband had the tuna Taki and yummy roll and he said it's some of the best he's ever had and I had the Spider roll which was in the top 3 of rolls I've ever had so I would say all three were amazing! Raw Ingredients - 2 of the favorites and also a bowl which was great too! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Tybee Island, Georgia

1,000% YES! I must admit I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Sometimes the restaurants around Tybee can be a bit hit or miss but this place is a HIT! We are huge sushi fans and I mean we are the type that literally wants just raw fish and rice (for those that like the saucy or cooked sushi, they have that as well - in fact, a long list of different kinds). We ordered the yellowtail roll (two to be exact, I must have my own ) and it was so fresh. We also got an order of tempura sweet potato.... So so so so crunchy and you get 4 humongous pieces. They drizzle it with a sweet sauce (tastes kind of like eel sauce) dip it in sriracha and you have a yummy, crunchy, spicy, sweet delicacy. Everything is counter service and they understand that you came from the beach so being wet or sandy isn't an issue. Everyone was really nice and the interior is really cute as well. If you are in Tybee and you like sushi give this place a shot. read more

Serviceable sushi - well, most of the time - but surly employees. They should be thanking us, not disrespecting us.

Fresh, light & tasty! After eating a lot of fried foods over the last few days, I wanted something a little lighter and healthier - especially while at the beach. The staff was helpful and thoughtful, and it was obvious they cared about the food and people they were serving. The tempura sweet potato and tofu skins were delicious on the salad I put together. They also had seating both inside and outside. read more

YUMMY sushi, wonderful service, and fun patio seating. We tried the Thai mango beef roll as well as the crazy roll. My husband was obsessed with the Thai mango beef roll, and it said it was probably the best sushi he's ever had. It was a bit too spicy for my liking, and I enjoyed the crazy roll. There wasn't many options for kids so I ordered them a side of rice and tempura shrimp which they enjoyed! Great spot. read more

The staff seemed friendly enough, but the portions were small and the food took forever to arrive. It was 7pm on a Wednesday and the place was not busy. But it took 45 minutes to receive our meal for a family of 5. The food tasted good, just won't be back due to the long wait and the price not matching the portions we would expect. read more

Yummy sushi- endless options (even build your own roll)! Cute outside area for eating there or sushi can be packaged for taking with you. Service was quick and person at the counter was nice- you order at the counter (no waiter/ waitress). read more

Fast food sushi order at counter. Ordered rainbow roll & it was not the freshest - tuna, salmon and yellowtail were are lacking in color & flavor. Publix grocery store sushi would have been better. For $30- so disappointed. read more

Such good sushi!! It isn't a trip to Tybee if you don't hit Raw!! Typically at an order at the counter establishment the service is just "there". That's not true at Raw! They are knowledgeable and are quick to recommend their favorites. And they are not my favorites. read more

My Japanese wife would not rate this so high. She did not like the nigiri sushi, but maybe looking back, she should have realized that a place serving food on styrofoam plates isn't going to be having extremely fresh fish. the rest of us all enjoyed our rolls. Good variety of them, all presented well and tasted wonderful to me I liked that you could create your own dish (roll, burrito, bowl, etc) from the back page of the menu. Bottom line-- decent sushi; maybe not up to the standards of a Japanese sushi snob, but also nowhere near the price she'd pay at other places, and pretty good, IMHO, for a little hole in the wall very near our condo! read more

Love this place. They've upgraded since we've last been here. I tried one of the sushi burritos which is new to me. Very good I did mine with eel, avocado, cream cheese (I wanted edamame but he told me it'd just fall out so I said it's fine give me cream cheese), pickles radish and eel sauce. It was very tasty. I also got a matcha boba. The boba pearls are the perfect texture but the matcha is lacking in the perfect matcha flavor. Still delicious though just more sweet milky than anything. The place is cute there are drawings all over the walls. Fun for families! read more

Yummy amazing, fresh seafood. Worth the price. Good quick service, and super cool drawings on the wall.

Fresh sushi and nice fried Yummy roll. Good friendly service. Just wish they stayed open year-round. Grandkids, when in town, always want the Bubble tea. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our vegan sushi. We got a Honeysuckle roll and a Ripe roll to start, and finished off with a create-your-own roll with tofu skin, jalapeño, mango, and sweet chili sauce. Vegan menu items are clearly marked. The boba tea is not vegan. It's non-dairy but not truly dairy free. Service was FAST and very personable. Order at the counter and they bring your food to you. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a hip, artsy little place to eat right by the beach (indoor or outdoor seating, not waterfront). And I highly recommend it for vegans since other options on the island are limited. Parking will cost you $8 for the minimum 2 hours. But after, we sight-saw on the peer. read more

What is some of the best sushi we've ever had doing in the place like this? We came here since there weren't many places open during the off season and wow we were surprised. This place has awesome sushi, great vibes and even better service. We ordered 5 rolls they were so unique. The Thai beef was great spiders was solid but you need to try their house favorite rolls all designated by the mouth. We loved this spot. Everyone here was friendly helpful and the sushi was delicious. Some of the most memorable and unique rolls we've had. read more

Raw Ingredients produces great sushi and even has food that sushi haters can enjoy. Here you seat yourself and order at the counter and serve yourself your own fountain drinks. The menu also consists of mostly only sushi, but no other standard Japanese dishes like a bento box. It seems intimidating for someone who doesn't like raw fish or sushi in general but they do have a create your own bowl or salad where there are a number of options of non raw fish for protein. In our party we had 3 bowls ordered for those who liked sushi less and they loved them. The sushi we ordered included Rainbow Roll-A classic roll done great. Having shrimp and avocado on the inside was great and all the raw fish was delicious as well 5/5 Spicy Tuna Roll-The spicy tuna was surprisingly spicy compared to most other sushi places. If you don't like spicy look for something else but otherwise great roll 4/5 Diamond Roll-the yellowtail on top was delicious and the spicy tuna isn't too overpowering 5/5 Ol' Bae Roll-I don't usually like rolls with fried ingredients or no raw fish but this roll with the seared salmon on top really knocks it out. 5/5 Spicy California Roll-Much prefer a spicy California over just a regular California roll. Nothing too special but good for those who don't like raw. 4/5 Yellowtail Roll-Nothing special here, better off getting the nigiri or some other roll with yellowtail in it 3/5 Even the sushi haters in our party really enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone in Tybee. read more

This restaurant was a breath of fresh air on my Georgia summer vacation! It was nice to have fresh sushi and a lighter meal in between eating more heavier meals throughout the week. Just the cuisine itself feels unique to the area and I like to switch it up on my vacation meals. I recommend visiting Raw Ingredients on your trip to Tybee. The low-key, chill environment makes this a relaxing place to enjoy good quality sushi. The local artwork both inside and out back was a great touch. The service was very friendly and we were given nice recommendations to the man who took our order. I would definitely come back! read more

This place was within walking distance of our condo and I'm so glad. I have a daughter that's pretty picky but loved this place we ate here 3 times in one week. Quick and fresh sushi and many specialty rolls. The ginger salad was very good. We had the lava, Georgia,Dynamite and yummy roll. They were all very good. Great place for pick up, very fast and good food. read more

Still five stars. Still extremely fresh ingredients. Still delicious! Consistently top notch!

So I have to start my review off with saying I live on the west coast and we have phenomenal sushi. With that being said this sushi was absolutely nothing special, used very basic sauces, and it kinda all tasted the same. The fish did seem fresh which I was thankful for. The imitation crab mix definitely did not seem fresh. The boba is 100% not worth it. They have pre measured powered at the counter in plastic containers they mix it with milk and the boba tasted either old or over cooked because it was not chewy. The main reason for the two stars is because you order at the counter, you're expected to bus your own table, but when you pay one of the buttons is for a 30% tip. I would assume tybee island is an expensive place to have a business but for a requested 30% and the sushi prices it should be a sit down service. Not to mention their sushi is on the more expensive pricing and wasn't really anything special. We received the expected service for counter service but really nothing special. Food was nothing special. I would not recommend or go back to this place. We got a burrito, four rolls, a boba tea and tipped 20% and paid over $120. read more

Just wow. A great selection of sushi and it's so so delish. Do yourself a favor and order the wasabi sauce with it. Ohhh so good so so good. Small shop with big flavor. Y U M M Y! Parking: Street parking - Be sure to download the Park TYB app and purchase parking. We visited after Thanksgiving and looks like parking is free through New Years. But you'll have to download the app and register your vehicle. Service: Order at the counter and everything is brought out to your table. Service was good and quick. The food didn't take too long to come out either. Food: * Chathamite Roll ($15): Tempura shrimp and cucumber topped with spicy tuna and seaweed * Ol' Bae ($16): Shrimp tempura, spicy kani, and avocado topped with seared salmon Both rolls were super yummy. I loved both of them. The tuna and salmon were fresh. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving sushi and visiting Tybee Island! read more

Delicious sushi and boba run by very nice people in a fun casual atmosphere. We ate in and later got take out.

At the urging of my wife, I tried takeout from this restaurant again after a year or so hiatus. The food was bad, as if they used yesterday's rice, and they got a third of the order wrong. Counterman was unspeakably rude. I strongly suggest you get sushi elsewhere. read more

It seems like all the locals from Savannah/Tybee know and love this spot-- and for good reason! Located in South Tybee right next to the beach, Raw Ingredients is fresh, flavourful and DELICIOUS. Let me start with the location: this is next to the beach alongside other shops/bars and is very easy to find. There is street parking and we walked from our airbnb/spot on the beach. We were able to get there in 5 minutes from our spot on the beach during lunch-- which was awesome! Their menu is so expansive, and you will need some time to go through it/decide what you want. We were greeted by very friendly employees who could tell we were overwhelmed by the options, offered us a paper menu and a seat while we mulled over it--so thoughtful! I built my own poke bowl and they have a plethora of fish/protein options. I went with the spicy salmon and added pickled ginger to my bowl (which wasn't on the menu but they added it to the side). It was so fresh and light--exactly what I needed for an easy lunch on the beach. I particularly appreciate how many sauce options they have. I went with the eel sauce and spicy mayo--never dissapoints! Price point is a bit higher (around $16-$17 for my poke bowl compared to about $13 elsewhere) but you KNOW you are getting quality ingredients and flavor so it is well worth it. I am itching to get back to this place and try their sushi! read more
