My Japanese wife would not rate this so high. She did not like the nigiri sushi, but maybe looking back, she should have realized that a place serving food on styrofoam plates isn't going to be having extremely fresh fish. the rest of us all enjoyed our rolls. Good variety of them, all presented well and tasted wonderful to me I liked that you could create your own dish (roll, burrito, bowl, etc) from the back page of the menu. Love this place. They've upgraded since we've last been here. I tried one of the sushi burritos which is new to me. Very good I did mine with eel, avocado, cream cheese (I wanted edamame but he told me it'd just fall out so I said it's fine give me cream cheese), pickles radish and eel sauce. It was very tasty. I also got a matcha boba. The boba pearls are the perfect texture but the matcha is lacking in the perfect matcha flavor. Still delicious though just more sweet milky than anything. What is some of the best sushi we've ever had doing in the place like this? We came here since there weren't many places open during the off season and wow we were surprised. This place has awesome sushi, great vibes and even better service. We ordered 5 rolls they were so unique. The Thai beef was great spiders was solid but you need to try their house favorite rolls all designated by the mouth. We loved this spot. Vegan menu items are clearly marked. The boba tea is not vegan. It's non-dairy but not truly dairy free. Service was FAST and very personable. Order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The menu also consists of mostly only sushi, but no other standard Japanese dishes like a bento box. In our party we had 3 bowls ordered for those who liked sushi less and they loved them. The sushi we ordered included Rainbow Roll-A classic roll done great. Having shrimp and avocado on the inside was great and all the raw fish was delicious as well 5/5 Spicy Tuna Roll-The spicy tuna was surprisingly spicy compared to most other sushi places. If you don't like spicy look for something else but otherwise great roll 4/5 Diamond Roll-the yellowtail on top was delicious and the spicy tuna isn't too overpowering 5/5 Ol' Bae Roll-I don't usually like rolls with fried ingredients or no raw fish but this roll with the seared salmon on top really knocks it out. 5/5 Spicy California Roll-Much prefer a spicy California over just a regular California roll. Just the cuisine itself feels unique to the area and I like to switch it up on my vacation meals. I recommend visiting Raw Ingredients on your trip to Tybee. The low-key, chill environment makes this a relaxing place to enjoy good quality sushi. The local artwork both inside and out back was a great touch. So I have to start my review off with saying I live on the west coast and we have phenomenal sushi. With that being said this sushi was absolutely nothing special, used very basic sauces, and it kinda all tasted the same. The fish did seem fresh which I was thankful for. The imitation crab mix definitely did not seem fresh. The boba is 100% not worth it. They have pre measured powered at the counter in plastic containers they mix it with milk and the boba tasted either old or over cooked because it was not chewy. The main reason for the two stars is because you order at the counter, you're expected to bus your own table, but when you pay one of the buttons is for a 30% tip. I would assume tybee island is an expensive place to have a business but for a requested 30% and the sushi prices it should be a sit down service. Not to mention their sushi is on the more expensive pricing and wasn't really anything special. We received the expected service for counter service but really nothing special. Food was nothing special. I would not recommend or go back to this place. We got a burrito, four rolls, a boba tea and tipped 20% and paid over $120. read more

It seems like all the locals from Savannah/Tybee know and love this spot-- and for good reason! Located in South Tybee right next to the beach, Raw Ingredients is fresh, flavourful and DELICIOUS. Let me start with the location: this is next to the beach alongside other shops/bars and is very easy to find. There is street parking and we walked from our airbnb/spot on the beach. We were able to get there in 5 minutes from our spot on the beach during lunch-- which was awesome! Their menu is so expansive, and you will need some time to go through it/decide what you want. We were greeted by very friendly employees who could tell we were overwhelmed by the options, offered us a paper menu and a seat while we mulled over it--so thoughtful! I built my own poke bowl and they have a plethora of fish/protein options. I went with the spicy salmon and added pickled ginger to my bowl (which wasn't on the menu but they added it to the side). It was so fresh and light--exactly what I needed for an easy lunch on the beach. I particularly appreciate how many sauce options they have. I went with the eel sauce and spicy mayo--never dissapoints! Price point is a bit higher (around $16-$17 for my poke bowl compared to about $13 elsewhere) but you KNOW you are getting quality ingredients and flavor so it is well worth it. I am itching to get back to this place and try their sushi! read more
