Chef Morita pays extreme attention to detail in sourcing the right product, presenting each course with exacting balance and appearance, while maintaining traditional methods. Even the sushi rice used comes from a rice 'sommelier' in Japan sourcing a custom product. The balance between fish, rice and sauce is absolute perfection. There are no shortcuts taken here - I hope every customer can appreciate how much thought and effort go into making this top notch authentic Japanese dining experience.

This looked like a generic Japanese place, like the ones you find in English speaking countries. Yelp and other apps seem to recommend it, and I walked in suspiciously. Turns out, it was great! They advertised wagyu beef grilled on pink Himalayan salt, and that was what we got. It turned out to be a thick slab of salt on a gas stove, where you could grill the wagyu and veggies on the salt itself. Since the salt provides the flavour, you don't have to add extra seasoning to the food grilled on it - it made everything taste delicious. The beef was also of good quality and had fabulous marbling. We also got agedashi tofu and some grilled salmon. The tofu were so-so, but the salmon was so delicious and presented very nicely with vegetables. Service was so-so, but the prices were great since the US dollar was strong (woohoo), and I think that was the cheapest quality wagyu I've had in a restaurant. I still haven't seen places in the US that does the salt grill thing. I wish I could go back and have this again!

The price runs on the more expensive side but it did reflect the quality and taste so I didn't feel like I was ripped off. But then again I wasn't the one paying. I don't think I'll rush back with that kind of price but if you don't have to worry about the moolah the it's a great Japanese place to go.

Here, it was pieces of raw tuna inside the roll, topped with avocado on the rice, and the spice was the sauce on the very top. It was different and my favorite roll we had. We got there at 1956 and they stop taking orders at 2000. We had about four minutes for all three of us to pick a meal and place our order. With that being said, I'm not sure we got a full look at the menu but we're very happy with our selection. The food was delicious, filling, and very reasonably priced. One thing they did not do is refill our water. This seems to be a common thing in Sydney so maybe people don't drink much water or maybe you have to ask. We haven't quite figured that out yet.
