After a few hours at the beach, we walked around to this area to grab food. SERVICE - Ordered at the counter and you either took your food to go or ate there. FOOD Miso Salmon Bowl - My husband and I both ordered this and enjoyed it! We got regular bowls but they were huge! Cannot imagine the large size. The salmon was well seasoned and the sauce was a nice glaze. The brown rice and veggies were healthy and plentiful. Overall, we really liked these bowls! Very tasty. read more

A short walk from the popular Bondi Beach, my sister and I wanted to enjoy something easy on the stomach since we would be constantly walking in and out of shops. Order was pretty easy with pre-made bowls for those that enjoy the regular go to while the make your own allows you to change up your life with different proteins and sauces. I would say that you are better off looking to know which some of the sauces and items are on the menu so you don't get too surprised by what's in your bowl. The two orders came out pretty quick while we grabbed a table and seltzer for the meal. We opted salmon as it was pretty easy and we weren't looking for anything extra to start our day. It was pretty filling with different toppings and fillers. We were able to get there when they open with luck being on our side as a rush came after we sat down though they pretty much banged out the line quickly. read more

There's something wrong with this Fishbowl. Love them everywhere else except this location. Feels like there's no quality control with the food, and no managerial presence. We were served by a highly aggressive worker who seemed like he was one moment away from wanting to fight us?! Secondly, we saw him wiping his nose and not changing his gloves after doing so. Maybe not the best idea during covid, and in an area where you can be seen by guests.... Where's the manager? Where's the Covid policy to keep customers safe? read more

Cilantro is called coriander. Apparently I'm the first person the dude ever heard someone say that. The staff there were quite helpful and cheery! The fish is fresh but I've had way better poke bowls with way better service at a significantly lower price for more food. The cabbage base creates a pool of water mixed with the sauces at the bottom of your bowl. The wasabi mayo dressing overpowers every other ingredient in the bowl. A little hidden, but wow what a great place for a poke bowl! The shop is tiny, but don't let that put you off. I did the create your own bowl with brown rice, salmon, cucumber, edamame, pink radish, coriander, sesame sauce, and crunchy shallots. They mixed up all the toppings and salmon which was great. The bowl was amazing! I enjoyed every bite. The salmon was cut up perfectly in squares and not too fishy. The sesame sauce really brought everything together. I love poke bowls and when in Hawaii, habitually ate them - my only cut at them is that they can something be fairly plain and lack flare. This little take away spot jazzed up their spin on poke bowl by adding extras such as avocado smash, toasted coconut, hot peppers, carrots and other tasty options. Tried Poke for the first time in LA and it was the bomb! So happy it's finally available in Sydney! FishBowl is fresh and tasty, I had the OG with rice, which was salmon plus a whole bunch of other good stuff. A great concept - have been a regular customer for a long time, but unfortunately lately there have been times when it was really bad: three times now i had the tuna with a really bad smell and taste, and in my last meal even the vegetable were well overdue their time (radishes where dry and already had a brownish colour, carrots had a white covering from being dry as well, clearly cut a long time ago). Not only a bad experience, but also the danger of getting people sick. Not keen to try again. I hope more customers provide feedback and the place returns to what it used to be! read more

Pretty good. Fairly high base ratio of rice given it's nearly $20 a bowl. It's next to bondi beach so rent would be high but it was still more expensive than I expected. Customer service was average. Bowl was decent. Tastes like sushi. Will I be back? Maybe. The bowls are plastic not cardboard so the environmental waste is extremely high. read more

Great service, ingredients are fresh, however, not sure why brown rice is sweetened if someone is looking for a healthy meal option with less calories rather than more, also too much dressing. Not happy. Service wasn't great. Not helpful. Got the FB3 and they had forgotten the dressing and charged me $19.90 not $16.90 and I had no extras as they didn't offer me any (and I didn't realise you could get 4). Guess its okay if you know what you are doing but watch what they charge you. read more

Here, it was pieces of raw tuna inside the roll, topped with avocado on the rice, and the spice was the sauce on the very top. It was different and my favorite roll we had. Can't beat the setting either--it's right on the beach and offers a cool breeze through the restaurant in the evenings. Definitely worth a try. Enjoy!

If you're around Bondi and want something fresh and filling, Fishbowl is a great choice. I've been here an abundance of times now, and the food and service is consistently good. I usually make my bowl with sushi rice and beef brisket. The portions are fair for the price, especially considering the quality of ingredients. The location is also a plus. It's right near Bondi Beach, so it's easy to grab a bowl after a swim. The inside space is small and pretty simple, but it's clean and the staff are quick even when it's busy. I've had to wait in line a few times, but it moves fast, and I've never waited longer than 10 minutes. The only downside is that seating inside is pretty limited. It's more of a takeaway spot unless you get lucky and grab a seat. But honestly, with the beach right there, it's easy to just take it outside and enjoy it. read more

Price was decent and I brought 6 oysters outside and slurp them up. Just a dash of lemon and down goes the yumminess. It was definitely mild tasting and very creamy. It was really fresh and wished I had gotten a dozen instead. There fish and chips looks really good and smells fresh as people walked by me with a plate of it. It's right on the main street, so you won't miss it. It's also next to my other favorite restaurant - handmade dumplings and noodles.

I wasn't really into the agedashi tofu. Nice, but totally not what I thought it'd taste like. Forever tainted by the agedashi tofu I had in Tokyo. Also order the yuzu green tea because I love yuzu anything? I'd always been a fan, but the trip to Tokyo really tipped me over the edge to obsession and oh lord. The otoro nigiri looks so stingy; in fact, it fell apart when I went to pick it up. It still tasted damn fine though. Also, that is some of the freshest uni I've had in Sydney.

The outdoor seating is another highlight, especially on a nice day; there's plenty of space to sit and enjoy the beach-town atmosphere. On a separate note (and honestly pretty important for travelers), it was surprisingly frustrating trying to find reliable restaurant reviews in Sydney the way we're used to in Los Angeles. Yelp really needs a stronger presence there... it would make discovering great spots like this so much easier. Overall, Momo Bar is an easy five stars for us. Fresh food, great variety, good service, and a relaxed setting... we keep coming back every time we're in Manly.

I came in late afternoon on a Friday, was met by the host, and managed to score a table, even though I knew it was going to be busy. I was given water and a menu, ordered a cold beer, and looked over the menu. I came here for one thing- LOBSTER- and they had it! I ordered a medium lobster, as well as the Tasman Sea Octopus starter. My cold James Boags beer arrived, with a hot roll and butter. Followed by a plate of some of the best grilled octopus that I have ever had- tender, tasty, with a nice sauce. Then, the main event- a huge lobster, with all the delectable meat removed, cut up and placed back in the shell- so tender and so delicious, especially with the Shallot Butter! It came with chips and a salad, both perfect side dishes. I ate my lobster slowly, to enjoy every tasty morsel. I had a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc with it as well. Instead of dessert, I had a cheese plate. This place is great- I cannot recommend it enough. Both service and food are on point. I will come here every time I return to Sydney.
