Qeema paratha. Sorry took a bite before we Rem to take pic

This is a review per my bf who is from Pakistan. He really enjoyed the lamb biryani and the Qeema prata. The biryani was tasty and slightly spicy w a good kick but not burning kind. They are open on Monday even though it says close on Monday. It seem to be link w Ravi Kabob as it has a an door to it. I enjoyed the desserts which they have quite a variety of Pakistan dessert and milk tea. Service was ok but Rem to bring cash.

    Bug fell from the ceiling.

When my friend and I were standing by the table to sit down, she told me she saw something fall from near the ceiling. I looked around and didn't see anything and sat down. About a minute later I felt something in my sandal wiggle and I threw off my shoe only to find a 1 inch bug trying to crawl away. I stepped on it and found another squished thing that looked like a cockroach. I am literally sitting here right now, waiting on my food to come as I write this. I don't even know what to do. I have never cringed so much in my life, this is absolutely disgusting and filthy.

Chicken schwarma sandwich, it's spicy with jalapeños!

Finally a place that doesn't serve overspiced, super dry schawarmas! I really wish they served this as an entree, but their chicken schawarma sandwich does not disappoint! It was nice sized, had a good amount of vegges/toppings, my favorite being jalapenos. Yes, you can get this sandwich spicy! Which I definitely did. The chicken meat was spiced very well, was juicy and crispy on the outside from being turned on the spit-fire grill, and the whole sandwich was delicious. I really wish it came with some sort of a side, not fries like every other Greek place, but maybe a side of chickpeas, something like that. But the sandwich is great and I'll be coming back for my chicken schawarma sandwiches here, I hope they turn it into an entree later on!

From the owners of Ravi Kabob comes a chaat house that specializes in shawarma. :) The service was great, the chaat was decent, and its the only place in the area I have been to that has Kashmiri chai. Will definitely return.

    Chickpeas, rice, salad, and naan

The food is fantastic and the service too! I ordered the spicy lamb Karachi, gyro wrap, side of rice, side of chickpeas. The two pieces of naan and salad came with the meal. Be sure to call ahead with your order and bring cash. They are still open for business! Great experience.

Best Pakistani food in DC area. Gol Gapay, Samosa Chaat and Chichen Karahi were delicious. Service is good and prices are low.

The food was full of flavor, freshly prepared, and really exceeded our expectations. The ribeye steak skewer and tandoori chicken were especially outstanding. We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +a samosa - served with a small cup of chutney +the Chicken Steamed Momos - filled with ground chicken; these were just okay, as it was ginger-forward; seemed to have been slightly oversteamed, and the skins easily ripped +a 1/4 Chicken with 2 Sides - went for the Charga style, all-white meat (this also included the neck, which was a little weird); opted for the chickpeas and the plantains; the chicken was overcooked and super dried out, which made it inedible; the chickpeas were okay, and the plantains were the only enjoyable part of this combo meal +the Boneless Chicken Tikka Kabob Meal - served on top of rice with a side of salad, chickpeas, and a large naan; the kabob was okay, slightly less dry than the quarter chicken; had an off taste to it +and, a Butter Chicken - served with rice and a large naan; this was more tangy and more tikka masala-like; it was thick, creamy, and still enjoyable! The naan was soft and fluffy, and a great complement to the curry Staff and service was friendly; we did request our orders to be free from coriander and cilantro, but items still came topped with the herb; we were able to pick it off, somewhat. There seems to be a constant flow of patrons picking up catering and to-go orders, as well as some deliveries. Providing to-go containers and a brown bag was generous. May not look overly tidy nor fancy, but the staff do a great job on overshadowing the ambiance. This time we went for Poori, halwa, channa and accompanied by paki chai. So here is the thing. Throughout DMV, it is hard to find all the above that has the perfect flavor, not to crispy, nor too soft poori. Or channa too spicy, not well cooked or not flavorful. Or the tea just lacks that sting to the taste. After tried many poori halwa serving places Tosso, Niralla Sweets, Cha lounge, Shineys and one Bombay at Tyson's) I can say with certainty, that Ravi Kaboob has the best combo. They even had cashew in the halwa in addition to other dry fruits and the halwa wasn't all about sugar and semolina, but had the good blend so it accompanied well to the chai. Bottom line, if you can see away from the ambiance and just want to have the best poori halwa channa weekend breakfast, this is def place to go! But be sure to call upfront, because even though they are supposed to have it from 1100-4.00 in the weekend, they simply run out way before that time. Probably good to ask them to save your portions and confirm your timely arrival.

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING:…read more I decided to give this place a try after being recommended their Chapli Kabobs and being told they were the best. I couldn't resist and decided to treat my mom to a dinner on Mother's Day. What we ordered: Chapli kabobs, lamb karahi, chicken biryani, lassi and chai. Food was okay, i honestly think any Pakistani moms' biryani would be better. Chapli kabobs were pretty good but not to die for. And i honestly think you can find better karahi for cheaper. I loved their chai the most out of everything. Total came down to around $120. Plenty of parking is available in the back. But it was completely empty when we walked in around 5pm on a Sunday. This place has ROACHES. When we got our naan for the karahi, it came on a skewer stand that came out of a wooden block. As soon as the waiter set it on the table and left, a baby roach crawled out of the wooden block. I killed it and told the waiter and the only thing he said was "Oh my God" and took it back to the kitchen. No apology or acknowledgment. But there was some yelling heard from the kitchen. We got our new fresh naan on a plate this time. After we got our chai and were relaxing, I look up towards the tv, there is ANOTHER ROACH crawling up. I got the check and just wanted to leave. The bathrooms were clean enough but there was a leak coming from the flush handle in the women's bathroom and there was a bucket underneath for the water to drip. Overall, I would not recommend and would rather try the other Middle Eastern/South Asian restaurants in the area to try.
