I purchased a fair condition high mileage American SUV from this dealership over two years ago on a…read morebuy-here-pay-here loan process. The loan was ten months long at $300 a month payments, split biweekly as were my pay periods. I had the lovely gift of family and my own dually noted financial efforts to help obtain the vehicle, maintain it, and make it to the finish line paying it off. After myself making exactly ten months of payments my loan was paid off as agreed. A title was mailed to me VERY promptly thereafter. I had one encounter during my loan where I was unable to pay. Not only did the dealership lend a deferral for 14 days and when I doubled up on my payment the next pay to square up they made sure I would not be strapped first before taking the money. YES, during my loan my vehicle broke down several times and it did take a couple tries before we could pinpoint some electrical issues with the vehicle (which have since been resolved) and it was annoying... but the vehicle is still running 248,000 miles later... I bought it with 200K hence the high-mileage intro earlier. Customer 1 Auto also offers a mechanic bay with newly staffed mechanics that know their stuff... This is the first vehicle I could say I actually had last long enough to have renewed the registration on, as an owner, twice. There are a lot of swindler car dealers looking to make a good deal fast to get their commission up, and then there's Customer 1 Auto. This is a local family ran business that's been there for many years with the same management. They have good intent to have good vehicles and good people working to make money selling cars and help people get into them. Best thing is to get your carfax so you know what you are getting, do your research and don't overspend. If they take the car back because you can't pay that's not their fault. MANY times people will say "this dirtb@g car dealership is a rip off" AND/OR "that car sucked anyway" but then they forgot to say how great the car was while they were driving it and not paying though.... Do your research online, pick your car, call for info, and see what they got to offer you.

First, we bought a 2023 VW Taos with Ervin being our sales person.   That's really only because…read morethat was the vehicle we had been looking at it and were happy with it.   It was a CPO vehicle with a little warranty left and a decent price.  That was probably all the positives. 1st getting to look at the vehicle is a ridiculously long process.  I get copying my driver license, but then having to answer a bunch of questions I didn't care about is painful.  I had to spend 10 minutes or whatever saying I don't care.   I didnt care about the color or anything.  I gave Ervin the exact models I wanted to look at, other than that I didn't care.  So from the time we got there till we could test drive the model I wanted to see and ended up buying was 45 minutes.  My wife went back into the car and was just done and wanted to leave.   I kept her waiting, but another minute or 2 we would have left.   Luckily we finally could test drive it and it was good enough.   2nd I told Ervin if we bought it, the front passenger doors had some spots I wanted scrubbed off, other than that I didn't even care if it was washed.   He said it wasn't a big deal.  Never the less when we got it, it was washed, but no one looked at the spots.  I rubbed off some with my fingers, but still some more when I get time to clean.  So clearly like the whole experience he was barely listening but not hearing me. 3rd I scheduled a purchase time, we were paying cash, gave Ervin all our information Friday even hoping it would be quick.  We got there a few minutes till 11, our time and told we had to wait for a few more people so it would be at least 30 minutes.   Supposedly Ervin got them to squeeze us in since we were going to be quick, but it still took a hour.   Then once done we had to wait for it to get gas, that's fine, but couldn't have been done sooner.   Then had to wait for it to get washed, maybe reverse order, but either way, if I known they were skipping the only external area I wanted clean, I would have said skip it and not waste my time.   4th It was finally time to leave, Ervin handed me the 1 key fob.   I wish he would have told us sooner because the car is for 2 - 16 year olds to share.   They both have to have a key to it so they can get into it before after school sports at possibly different times.   Also, only having 1 fob, what do we do if it gets broken or lost?   Now I have to contact service, I am guessing that's how I buy it. Then pay to get it programmed.  They were closed when we finally got the key Saturday so I knew we would have to wait to call service this week. 5th we got home, I went to put the paperwork in the glove box and it was full of trash.   Ketchup packets, a feather, and other junk.   Not just a little that could be missed, but it was pretty full.  The center console has a hair pin and a small bottle of something.   I feel the owner cleaned it out, but Faulkner did not even look. Ultimately, this was the worst car purchasing experience in my life.   I may go to another Faulkner in the future, not sure, but it will be a long time till I forget about the misery of Faulkner VW.   Even if it was just one or two or three bad things, I don't honestly remember one good thing about buying from Faulkner VW.    Also, they still haven't been able to get the VW remote access working since it was broken from before I bought it. This allows you to use an app to lock and unlock remotely from the app and more. That is all, I could nitpick more things too, but I don't want to seem like I am just complaining.

Was even told by Raul and his wife that she has a focus too and it's a great car no problems.(it was admitted in writing later on that they were aware of problems with the car) Fast forward a week after getting it off the lot and it doesn't start. Not sure why, I bring it in and they check the grounds, replace the battery and set up an appointment with LB Smith Ford because the transmission is also grinding through gears. LB Smith couldn't do anything, okay. So it gets scheduled again about 2 months later to go back to LB Smith for the same issues, Raul offers me a loaner car. So I drop my car off with him, and get this loaner. A spray painted old ass Ford Taurus with the check engine light on and the gas gauge doesn't work. Alright whatever it's a car, Ive had beaters before. As long as it goes from A to B and back to A it's fine. Wrong. I had it for a day, it sat in my parking lot. It was one of the sub 0 days with snow and ice everywhere and super windy and I go to get in to go to the store and the door won't latch. I called Raul and told him and he told me it was probably frozen so try to thaw it. They were busy cleaning snow off the cars on their lot. Okay, well that didn't work so I called back in an hour or so later and told him it didn't work and it didn't latch and asked if I could tie it up with rope or tape it shut to try and drive it the 2 miles across the river to his shop so he could look at it or if he could send someone out. His response was freaking out stating "no you'll ruin the paint I don't know what you want me to do" maybe I want you to give me options to fix the piece of shit beater that I was given so it's drivable. Some words were exchanged and he tells me "I don't know who the fuck youy think you're talking to" cussing me out. He dropped off the piece of crap car that he sold me back to me and picked up his piece of crap beater. Fast forward to today Sept 19th, and my car has just had the TCM and Clutch fully replaced by Ford for 0 charge OUT of warranty. Would have been nice to have this handled months ago. Just buyer beware, this is your typical sketchy Harrisburg car dealer
