On another Summer stroll in Telegraph I landed at Taiwan Professional Tea. Inside there is some seating and the party people order on a kiosk. They have lots of drinks not too sweet and some are sour like lemonade like some on my social media feed. They also have matcha for Don Juan de la Matcha . I got the Mango Passion Smoothie . It was not too sweet and it had lots of flavor and hit the spot . A good place to grab a drink rain or shine because the drinks are Type A ( Taipei). Last day of the month and it's "gone" now every social media feed for the end of July photo dump is what is going "on" but this place has tasty tea drinks which has a second name professional and first name "Taiwan" and they also have matcha for the "Don Juan" This place is the place during a heatwave is the answer and that is "unquestionable"they have drinks with fruits and not a "vegetable"when it comes to matcha leave it to the "professional" because Don Juan de la Matcha is nothing "correctable"

It was barely sweet, 50% is the lowest sweetness you can set for this drink. I was disappointed by this one as I felt the tea and floral flavors could've been stronger, it really just tasted of honey. Large chocoberry bliss, warm, 50 sweet (which was the recommended sweetness): It's a non caffeinated drink and can only be hot or warm. It tastes of dark chocolate with strawberry. It reminded me of hot chocolate but with a strawberry milk flavor, I liked it and would recommend trying it when it's in season if you enjoy sweets and chocolate in particular. Cheese creamer black tea, no ice, 0% sweetness, large cold: The tea is truly bitter when at 0% sweetness, which is what I intended. A generous thick amount of creamer on top. It doesn't mix easily with the tea. Note that on Snackpass, they add another $0.25 onto the price of your drink for "city cup fee" - referring to City of Berkeley's fee charged for plastic drink cups. I have found they're usually pretty fast at making the drinks and they may be done earlier than what Snackpass estimates. Sometimes you may need to get the attention of one of the workers as they can be occupied working and aren't always at the counter looking at you.

My husband got a house milk tea with boba, and it was extremely flavorless. Tasted really sweet, but you couldn't really taste the tea at all. Honey boba wasn't bad, not the worst we've tried. Overall, considering there are tons of other boba shops in Berkeley, we definitely will not be back.

I noticed that people often study there with laptops, so I came in with mine and brought a small lunch from Oori down the street to make a morning out of it. I've done this before without issue, but this time, a woman with crazy eyes who seemed to have a higher role came out and very abruptly scolded me, saying, "You CAN'T eat outside food here," while aggressively pointing toward the door as if I needed to leave immediately. I completely understand having a no-outside-food policy, and I would have had no problem following it if it had been communicated respectfully. But the way she approached me felt unnecessarily harsh and honestly pretty upsetting. I apologized right away, packed everything up in a panic, and left. After processing it, I realized how inappropriate the interaction felt for something that could have been addressed with a simple, polite reminder. Overall, Asha has great matcha, a cute space, and friendly baristas, but that experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. Just a heads up: the drinks are good, but you may want to be careful about bringing outside food in, because the policy might be enforced in a pretty unpleasant way.

I'm sad to report the tiger milk tea had no stripes. It was just a regular brown sugar milk tea and did not deliver on the "tiger" aesthetics. The boba was fresh but it's the kind you can buy from the supermarket to make at home yourself. Nothing crave-worthy. For what it's worth, it was well-made. For the area, there are certainly other places you can go for boba. At least the non-dairy milk swap only had a $0.50 adder, a bit less expensive compared to other places.

This time however, it was a perfect consistency where it wasn't too tough to cause clumps in the bottom, but still soft enough to be sucked up through the straw. The tea also had a really nice toasty black tea flavor and I really enjoyed the complexity of this drink. It was also fun to open up the drink and scoop up the "mochi" off the bottom. I just wished I could see the pretty layers of this drink in a clear cup. I hope I can order this again next time!

Sharetea first started in Taipei, Taiwan in 1992 and has taken flight since then. They want to present the concept of "sharing tea" with others while providing healthy, creative drinks to their customers. Sharetea is also my current favorite boba chain! TL;DR? MM EXCELLENT BOBA, MUST DRINK! 2. Does Sharetea Berkeley have a WEBSITE and/or FACEBOOK? Yes, they share a website with the SF branch (not the San Mateo one): http://www.shareteasf.com. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/shareteaberkeley 3. What type of DRINKS do they offer? They offer Creama, Brewed Tea, Hot Drinks, Ice Blended, Milk Teas, Fruit Teas, Fresh Milk, and Yakult. Options to choose Sweetness and Ice levels are also available. Prices range anywhere from $2.75 to $4.50. Baseline milk teas are $3.25. 4. What TOPPINGS do they offer? Pearls, Mini pearls, Lychee jelly, Ice jelly, Herb jelly, Pudding, Red bean, Aloe vera, Ice cream - $.50 5. What does the Boba Princess Recommend? Any of their Creamas! Although I am partial to Oolong and Matcha Green Tea! I am weary of regular Black and Green teas but I've heard they were great. I was fairly surprised how great the Matcha Green Tea Creama tasted, so if you're a matcha lover, you must try it. I was afraid it'd taste too overpowering or too milky, but it was actually perfect and it's all due to their secret awesome cream. High Mountain Tea creama is a more bitter version of Green Tea as the employee informed me. Their Classic Milk Teas are also good quality (in terms of brewed tea and milk consistency), but come on, Sharetea is #1 CREAM KING! You must try their Creamas! 6. What forms of PAYMENTS do they accept? Cash or credit and they have 5 STARS REWARD! They do not combine with the other branches however. 7. Should I take my DATE here? Of course!!! Whether your date is new to boba or a long-time boba lover, they will appreciate Sharetea. It's not the most romantic place, hence the 4 stars and not 5 stars... but if you grab it to-go and walk around Berkeley or head for a nice patch of grass on campus, then you're good to go. 8. Why are you hating on the location and ambiance, Boba P? Uhm because parking was impossible! It's all street parking but my friends and I literally had to fight tooth and nail to grab a parking spot. Can't help that it's in Berkeley but it sucks when you don't live in the city or aren't a student. The ambiance is also a disappointment. I get that they just opened, and Sharetea management tried their best to lighten up the place with a few colors dabbled in their posters and menus but the overall construction and feel of the store was dreary-- like Asha but worse. The tiled floors and cheap tables/chairs really did not compliment the place well and we all know they ain't struggling in the bizness, they're the forefront runners! 9. Most important question-- Should I SHARE my TEA as Sharetea suggests? N-E-V-E-R. You bought that cup for yourself. That whole cup of boba deliciousness is for YOU to enjoy and savor! So I've been to Sharetea more than a few times over the past couple months because 1) it's close to me and 2) it satisfies my craving for boba something fierce. Every time I have been here, the staff has been courteous, prompt, and friendly. The tea itself is pretty good. I especially like the kiwi orange tea with glass jelly and the high mountain milk tea. My gf prefers the creamas, but the cream is a little too rich for my taste. Still, Sharetea has something for everyone at an affordable cost. Just be aware that it is close to Berkeley, so the place gets packed really quickly and there is not a lot of parking nearby. read more

Overall, they have great milk tea and Green milk tea, that is my usual go to. Haven't try much of anything else yet. But even with that, we were able to order at a kiosk shortly and have our drinks out not after long. We did all get upgrades to our matcha blend instead of getting the house. The staff is always super friendly- something that's hard to find these days. But what makes 8 Grams the best is the quality of their drinks and matcha. So, SO good! I've visited elaichi twice since in the area already and I plan on going back again. My first visit was on a Monday morning with a friend. I ordered the Banana Chai Einspanner (chai with banana sea salt cold foam) with oat milk and the Aloo Tiki Paratha Roll (potato fritter with cilantro chutney, red onion and garlic yogurt). My friend ordered a hot latte and the Paratha Quiche (tomato, red onion, Serrano and cilantro). We also shared a piece of Pistachio Cake. The Banana Chai Einspanner is simply the best drink I have ever had in my entire life. I am truly not kidding. It is so decadent, smooth, spicy, fresh. This is the best drink to grace this plant. My friend was really happy with her latte as well. I wouldn't say it strikes the "classic chai" chord, as this is incredibly sweet, so if you're looking for that, I would select a more basic option on the menu. It's also worth noting, the Banana Chai is a seasonal option for the summer. As for the food, everything was delicious. The Pistachio Cake was moist and had such great flavor. The crusts on both of our savory dishes were so flaky! I visited again on a Tuesday morning (yes the next day) and ordered the Banana Chai Einspanner once again and the quiche. Both were as delicious as the first time around. And the product isn't it all. The staff at elaichi are incredibly friendly. Even when the shop was busy on the Monday morning, we were taken care of with respect and care. I can tell the staff also have good relationships with those in the community.
