The cornbread is great, make sure to order it when you sit down as it takes a few minutes to come out. My husband and I shared the shishito peppers, which were fresh, spicy, and yummy! I then had the pasta dish, which was delicious! The sauce was rich, and I loved the noodles and chunks of steak in it. My husband loved his steak plate and the sides that came with it. Great drinks too! My husband stuck with dirty martinis and red wine. I had a lemon drop (so yummy), a strawberry fields from their menu (also yummy!), and a small mini cocktail of what I believe was a lemon meringue cocktail! Shoutouts to: -Erika (not sure of the spelling; the very sweet owner of this establishment, along with her dad and brother!) -Elly (our friend who works here, and whose husband told me about this wonderful place! She is awesome!) -Indiana (our server! She was super sweet and attentive!) Definitely check this place out whenever you get a chance! Really happy to have something like this in El Dorado Hills, and my husband and I are looking forward to returning soon!

The drinks were really good and the food we had was tasty, so we were excited to come back and even chose the location for a birthday gathering. Unfortunately, the experience with a larger group was very different. When we arrived, our table wasn't ready and we ended up waiting quite a while. After finally sitting down, we were largely ignored for about an hour. No one brought drinks, and we didn't have silverware or menus for a while, which made the start of the evening pretty frustrating. When the food finally came out, it was also disappointing. Some dishes arrived while others didn't, and the timing was very off. The chicken was dry and overly salty, and overall the food felt pretty mediocre compared to what we had experienced before. I really applaud what they're trying to build there because the bar experience and drinks have been enjoyable in the past. However, it seems like they may not quite be ready to handle large parties yet. It was unfortunately not the kind of experience that made us excited to return right away.

There is only street parking so it can be difficult to park and the restaurant does not have a parking lot. My friend wanted to try the matcha waffles so went to try it on a Sunday afternoon. The place was pretty crowded inside and all the seats were taken. They did have a good amount of outdoor seating which consisted of picnic tables for larger parties. It was overcast and cold so we were looking it for indoor seating but we ended up sitting outside. You go to the bar inside to order and then you are given a number and then a server brings your food out to your table. I went with 2 friends so I saved our table for us so it wouldn't get taken while they went to order for me. I ordered the short stack ube mochi pancakes which was only $6 for 2 pancakes which was so cheap! I was shocked at the price! If you want the full stack it is $12 which is still such a great deal. The pancakes came with strawberry and pineapple fruit topping, coconut shavings, and caramelized condensed milk syrup. The pancakes were chewy and soft and not too sweet and had good ube flavor. My fellow elite Yelp friend ordered the matcha waffles which was a large portion but she said the waffles lacked strong matcha flavor. I looked at the rest of their menu and wanted to try their savory Filipino dishes such as the loco moco. Overall, the ube pancakes are delicious and such a great deal! I want to go back to try the rest of their savory Filipino dishes next time!
