Just an update to the review posted about 18 mos. ago. In the thousands of dollars I spent with…read moreTarvin to have our plumbing issues resolved, we paid to have the plumbing beneath the sink repaired due to a leak. Needless to say, their repair hasn't held. The pvc piping they installed won't even stay together. It only held for a few months and then just came apart-- leaving us with having to have a bucket beneath the sink. I'm just frustrated enough to write this updated review now because I have to pay to have another plumber come out to fix their work. These people are predatory and unprofessional. Would not recommend. What would've been nice is if the owner of this plumbing company saw the invoice number on my receipt in the last post and tried to reach out-- but he didn't. Instead he implied that we didn't even have his company service my mother's home. Having integrity in your business -- owning a job and its result means something.

They addressed the problem quickly and were very reasonable in their pricing. Roll forward 8 months and we had the same issue. They came out in a timely fashion, fixed the problem that was likely due to the long cold weather we had over the past months and offered an apology for the hassle (not necessary in my opinion but appreciated!) There was no charge since they guarantee their work for a year. I highly recommend this business!

Awful company that lied about the job! Darryl, who worked for them in 2018, did the best he could…read morewith the materials they provided. I had roots growing in my pipes and instead of paying another company $7000 to replace the broken pipe at the elbow that allowed the roots to grow in and cause back-ups, he suggested sewer lining, which is supposed to cover all the cracks in old pipes. The quote was $4500 to line 30 feet from the basement out to the end of the yard. There was no mention that the liner can't cover pipe elbows! It was nothing but a disaster! When Darryl attempted to do the job, the 1st thing to happen was the liner got stuck in the pipe, under the basement floor! He had to break open the floor cement to pull it out! He was forced to replace that pipe and redo the floor cement! Then it happened 2 more times! It turned out my pipes were 4 inches and they only had 6 inch liners. Halpin refused to get 4 inch liners! Finally after weeks later, getting the liner in place and supposedly the job was done, my pipes continued to have issues of a back-up on the basement floor! In the meantime, Darryl left the company! I can only imagine why! Each time this happened, I called to complain and they came out and said I had root problems and snaked it to clear it! Each time I asked why I had roots after they lined the pipe, they claimed they told me the liner could not line in an elbow and that's where the roots were! I argued with them that I was never told that but they claimed it was my problem and not under warranty anymore! I told them that from the beginning, I knew the roots were in the elbow and that's what the original job was supposed to fix! I knew because the other company showed me on the video during their $7000 quote! Darryl never told me that the liner would not cover the elbow even though I made a point of telling him that's where the problem was! There's nothing in my quote, either! It says a full 30 feet will be lined! The last guy that came tried to charge me to snake it and I refused! He said he wouldn't charge me that time but anytime in the future, they would! That's 5 yrs ago! I've had back-ups, twice a year since! I've had to call a different plumber each time (Because I refuse to give Halpin another dime) and for the last year have been getting root killer to help! AS A RESULT, ALL PAPER HAS TO BE PUT IN THE TRASH CAN! CAN YOU IMAGINE ALL YOUR DIRTY TOILET PAPER ALWAYS IN THE TRASH!? IT HAPPENED AGAIN YESTURDAY BECAUSE MY 11 YR OLD GRANDSON FORGOT AND PUT PAPER IN THE TOILET AND THAT FAST, IT CAUSED A BACK-UP! I'M NOW 67 YRS OLD AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH POOP BACKING UP ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR, AGAIN! ALL BECAUSE HALPIN PLUMBING RIPPED ME OFF FOR $4500 TO LINE MY SEWER, BUT DIDN'T LINE THE PART I CALLED THEM ABOUT IN THE 1ST PLACE AND THEY DIDN'T TELL ME TILL IT WAS TOO LATE AND OUT OF WARRANTY! IT'S LIKE I NEVER HAD THE JOB DONE! I HAVE THE SAME ISSUES I HAD BEFORE THEY CAME AND WASTED $4500! AND NOW I CAN'T AFFORD TO HAVE THE JOB DONE RIGHT! DARE I SAY, HALPIN IS A SHITTY COMPANY! BUYER BEWARE! I'd post picts but I don't want to waste anymore time on them cause I have a mess to deal with!

This was supported by a live walkthrough for me to view what the repair person was talking about. The same afternoon (!) options were presented for replacement and a choice was made. Bottom line: price quoted and installation met with no surprises. Clean space left with all old items and leftover stuff removed. I woke up to my thermostat reading 82 degree. I was certain it would be days with this heat wav. I called and was shocked to find out they would be here in a few hour. A young man named Chase showed up and despite having to work in the furnace room in the basement , about 6 by 8 feet, he never complained, and figured out immediately it was a blown motor. He explained everything to me and let me know he needed to run to the shop and grab a new one and would be back in about 20 minutes. It was 104 outside.
