Both of us were very satisfied with the taste and portion sizes of our food. The process of ordering and paying for your meal is unique in that you have to queue up at the counter to wait for someone to take your order and prepare your food, then line up again to pay the cashier for your meal. The seating area occupies less than a quarter of the space, so seating may be difficult especially because the ambiance encourages people to linger long after they've eaten and table turnover is low. While Fairchilds Market is only open for breakfast and lunch, they also offer a small selection of prepared foods to go -- soups, chicken wings, etc. -- for dinner at home. Fairchilds Market's liquor selection emphasizes locally-sourced items, including a wide variety of locally-produced craft beers (e.g., Carton, Man Skirt, Magnify, Cape May, and Fort Nonsense, just to name a few); locally-distilled liquors; and hard-to-find low-volume wineries.
