The previous mechanic gave me the speech about my car breaking down completely if I don't get xyz fixed for $900 immediately. Jason checked things out and told me the truth about what was wrong with The Regulator, and an estimate of when I would need to get things fixed. The quality of work and customer service here is unparalleled. After 3 years of searching, I finally found a great auto shop in CU. I started getting my oil changed here too. While it may be slightly out of the way compared to other oil change places, it is definitely worth it!

Jason was courteous and up-front the whole time, gave me all the information I needed about the damage to my car and explained both the cost and the process of repair. When I decided I needed to hold off due to the expense, Jason put no pressure on me and was totally understanding about my situation. Once I secured the funds, I decided to return and they fit me in immediately, and fixed the car way ahead of schedule for the price quoted. Both of my current vehicles were purchased here and I couldn't be happier with them. We were originally referred by some friends who had purchased cars from here and had been tremendously happy with the whole experience. I constantly refer people to buy cars from Bob, and have even had family members travel several hours to purchase their vehicles from Bob because the prices are so great and the vehicles are in excellent condition. They, in turn, have recommended to their colleagues that they purchase cars here even though it's 3 hours away. That's how great of a dealership this is. If you are thinking about purchasing a used vehicle, this is the only place to go!

My situation started when I got a terrible scratch when I cut a tight corner in my garage. Frankly I don't understand how people get building permits to make parking garages in Champaign. Anyway, mainly because I didn't need my parents finding out about my little accident I decided to pay out of pocket for the damages. I first went to Tatman's to get a quote, seeing as I've heard good things about their service and I see their ads everywhere. I nearly dropped to my knees when I heard the price they told me for my scratch over my wheel, slightly onto my door and a few minor scratches on the bumper. "At least two thousand dollars..." They had explained that the amount of work they'd have to put into it (10 hours) would be the bulk of the cost. I decided to head down the street to M&M. I spoke with Alex who quickly came out to my car and accessed the damage. He told me very similar things to Tatman's so I believed his assessment. The best part was that he told me it would cost about $1000 and he broke it down piece by piece of what needed to be done. Originally the used the wrong paint, but realized the mistake and told me they would correct it at no cost to me. Although it took a little more time than originally quoted, they took care of some additional scratches on the car and the car looks as good as new. They are extremely helpful and I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Unbeknownst to me, my car was towed in the early AM hours by the State Police. This cost me $235.00 right out of the gate. Andy's towing discovered that my car had been impounded the next morning while trying to locate it. After finding this out- I asked the guys at Andy's to help me out and at least get my car out of impound for the money I had paid them. ( the impound company - another local towing and auto repair business- wouldn't touch my car or help me, but was willing to charge me an addition $65 to tow the car to a tire store and an additional $45 if the car was there overnight. This, in addition to the initial $235.00 charge). Andy's picked my car up, and WITHOUT MY ASKING- bought a very nice used tire to replace the blown tire, installed it, and delivered the car TO MY HOME. All for $125.00. The towing business can be a dirty business full of jaded and shady characters. Andy's really is that rare and honorable small operator. It's also a local business- as I came to find out- that has been owned and operated by the same man, in the same location, for 42 years. Here's to you, Andy! and thank you!
