The shotguns are Turkish and they have all the parts you need should something need fixing or replacing down the road. They also have a great selection of rifles at better prices than most and a fabulous gunsmith that provides fantastic service. I have purchased a couple of rifles and shotguns there as well as having had a few of my rifles cleaned that are now shooting as if they were brand new. Give them a try first before you go anywhere else. You will not be disappointed.

Overall I think this is one of the better gun shops near the Toronto / GTA area. The selection is…read morequite good and even though the ammunition is a bit more expensive than other places, the prices on firearms is usually reasonable. The location is a bit out of the way, but not too far of a drive from the GTA. As for the staff, the vast majority of them are great. They are often busy but find ways to help people relatively efficiently. However there is one person there, a younger man, who I've not had a great experience with on several occasions. I'm not sure if this is a cultural barrier, but in business it's important to make your customers feel welcome and act professionally, and this one person has not done that. I've been apprehensive asking him any questions because he is incredibly short and distant with his replies and makes it feel like a chore having to talk to customers. Besides that though I've had an overall good experience here and continue to shop here despite the actions of the one employee mentioned above.

Not only are their prices competitive, but their inventory is awesome and there is lots of staff on hand, so no matter how busy they are, there is usually someone there to help when you need it. I often do my research online before I go to their store, so when I say their prices and inventory are great - I've done the footwork. - Edward

This place is awesome…read more I brought my wife here to check out a nice new rifle for her (she's a novice shooter just getting into sport shooting and I've had my PAL for about a year). We dealt with Logan, and he was great. He was especially patient as I explained some basic gun handling safety to my wife as we were browsing. He offered us a number of choices and was super friendly and helpful without putting any pressure on us at all. In fact, he encouraged us to take our time and do our research ahead of time. Even to go to a range and see what we like before we commit. I have to say it's moments like these that make me proud to be a Canadian gun owner and enthusiast. It shows that gun owners in Canada are awesome people and are always safety conscious and willing to help those new to the hobby. After being treated, so well, even though we're from Toronto originally, we will definitely be coming back here. And I would recommend anyone even vaguely interested in firearms to come here and ask questions and speak to the awesome staff. Without a doubt they will take good care of you.

Enormously helpful. The only outdoor store to actually pick up the phone, which they did within a few rings, and then proceeded to provide helpful information. - Affordable options Save yourself the trouble and don't bother with MEC--check the Al Flaherty website, call them with any questions, and arrange to pick it up.
