While shooting on the range at Kingsridge Dr. one of the managers stopped by my lane to talk to my partner. Sadly, I didn't catch his name, I think maybe he was the head manager. After I finished shooting, I turn around and see him holding a gun pointing downrange virtually right at my head. I jumped a bit and was quite startled. He laughed at me and said oh, did you think I was gonna shoot you? And then he laughed some more like I was crazy or something. Well, I guess now I know why you require visitors to sign a waiver excusing you from all responsibility for what happens there, even in cases of gross negligence. read more

My husband has been a member for years and they gave a veteran discount and though its changed names ... still honor that deal. He took me and a friend shooting because shes thinking of getting her first gun. She really found it helpful. I've been here many times. But it has gone downhill. the last handful of times I have gone to use the range - its as if they've never checked anyone in for this purpose. The process always seems to be different and always unorganized. Prices are definitely higher than most mom and pop local shops... that's expected though My reason for the low rating is that the last time I went to buy ammo here, they "had" to scan my drivers license. They say it is for their own purpose, but why...? I don't want them, or anyone, keeping any record of what I do, and do not buy. Pretty much anything you can buy here you can buy somewhere else cheaper. You may have to order it somewhere else... But you don't have to have your freaking drivers license scanned /recorded just to buy a box of 22s. I was told if they don't scan my drivers license, I cannot complete the purchase. Being only a few boxes of ammo, I went ahead and completed the purchase. But I will not go back there. If I do, it's because they have a large selection for me to touch and put eyes on to aid in my decision, making... So I can then order it at a local shop for a much better price. They also removed their military and veteran discount. WTF! I do not recommend this facility to anyone at all. They seem unorganized, a bit, pricey, and far too un-American for a gun store. (no military or veteran discount?) There's literally another gun store a stone's throw down the road that does not scan your drivers license to buy ammo, holsters, range, bag, etc.... My wife and I rented a lane for an hour. Less than 10 minutes in there was an air quality malfunction and we had to leave the range before switching over to the other. While it took approximately 15 minutes for them to allow us to begin shooting on the other side, we were not given that time we had lost back. read more

Been coming for about 10 years, the experience gets worse each time I visit. Every gun I've ever bought from you guys have factory blemishes. From AR lowers to 1911's. My latest shotgun, blemished.. I kinda suspect them of buying factory blem guns on the cheap and selling that to customers for a premium. Every gun is over priced. Between $100-$200. Every sale they do, they just sell the gun at the same price everyone else sells it for year round.​ Range. Awful experience. Mainly from the reps. I got yelled at just lastweek for firing my shadow "too fast" while the guy next to me and just mag dumping into the ceiling downrange.. Ammo. There 5.56 Hornady frontier is for sale at 16.99 a box, pretty fair right? Well I went to grab the bulk box of that on the bottom shelf of (20 boxes). Rob rings it up and says, it's gonna be $420 before tax... 16.99 x 20 is $339.80 so I don't know where he got his number. For an extra $100 somewhere else I bought 1000 rounds of better ammo.. The customer is always right in this store, the reps don't know or understand half of what they are selling. There's been a few guns I've spotted marked wrong calibers both in range & sale display. I usually prefer to go to the Spring Valley shooting range just because of the price, but I decided to try this place out. If you are in the southern Dayton area, it's convenient because of how close it is. Although more expensive, it's nice to be able to control when you want to put up your targets (don't need to wait for a cease fire) and vary the distance of the target. I came in on Veterans Day and they generously were offering an hour of free range time for veterans! They have guns for rent..$10 for handguns with no limit to how many guns you can try and $15 for rifles. They have a decent selection for both. The staff is helpful and remain professional even during busy/hectic hours. Yes, the ammo is a little expense (what shooting range int he area sells ammo at cost?), but at least not crack prices. There are various discounts on range time throughout the week like lunch time specials, date night, military/police night, etc. The website has all the information you would need to find out hours, prices, and specials. I checked the range out for the first time today. I will be back! I found the staff to be friendly (which, unfortunately, isn't always the case when you are a female in a gun store) and knowledgeable. I brought my own eyes, ears, ammo and guns but they have all of the above available for purchase or rent. You can shoot handguns or rifles on this range. If you want to try one of their guns you can for $10, but you have to use their ammo. I happen to know my way around multiple guns, but overheard in the stall next to mine that the range safety officer was taking the time to explain to someone the proper way to do things which I thought was great. They offer classes and training, ladies day, Date night, and military / LEO discounts. There was also a membership plan available. I was helped by Andy Meyers and if everyone in their staff is as good as him they will be around for a long time! read more

Sad. In less than a year, I have purchased two rifles, four handguns, ammo, and accessories from this establishment. I recently purchased a Ruger LCP and took it to their indoor range right after checking out. New out of the box, it had failure to eject. I then went back out to their sales floor and purchased different ammo to try (70 plus dollars). Still failed to eject every one or two rounds. Found the salesperson and explained the situation. He took the gun and walked to a back room without saying anything to me...just left me standing there. Then he walked back out with another employee who walked right by me with my newly purchased gun, picked a target off the rack, and went out to the range to shoot my gun while totally ignoring me and not communicating anything to me. I watched through the window and could see the second salesperson was clearly having the same problem. I was then approached by the first salesperson who handed me the gun and told me to ship it to Ruger under warranty. I was pretty surprised as I just got done dropping 300 dollars on this gun 30 minutes prior. I was also aware that they had several of the same model in stock. Keep in mind, this is the same salesperson who checked me out. I was pretty shocked and decided to go home and sleep on it. The next day I decided, since they sold me a gun that wouldn't shoot, I would return it and get my money back. Nope, the manger stated that the gun had been shot, and therefore, they would only buy it back at a 50% value. I asked how one would know that a gun is defective out of the box without shooting it first. He wouldn't answer the question, only kept repeating that the gun had been shot. Obviously, the gun could have been sent back to Ruger as defective out of the box and they could have given me another one. However, I probably would have been happy if they would have at least sent it back to Ruger for me. Or, I might of been cool with everything if I was treated with respect and communicated with in a professional manner. I can tell you this; being treated that way after all the money I have spent there was a really crappy feeling. I WILL NOT GO BACK...EVER...FOR ANY REASON. The 45 carbine I was in the hunt for will be purchased from one of their competitors about a half mile away. read more

I had an amazing experience purchasing my first firearm from RangeUSA. The employee who helped me was Cody Whitmore. He was incredibly knowledgeable about any & all things firearms (I know that's expected, but I was rather impressed) there was not a single question I had that he didn't thoroughly explain the answer too & was eager to answer for me (& I asked him a ton of questions, even ones not directly related to the firearm I was attempting to purchase lol). He never made me feel like I was bothering him w/ so many questions & he made the entire process not only efficient & easy for a first-time buyer, but also enjoyable. I'm not exaggerating when I say I feel like I took a firearms class just by speaking with him over 2 separate visits (1 wk apart) while contemplating the firearm I wanted to purchase. I learned so much regarding diff firearms, ammo, & even more importantly the laws and regulations regarding being a lawful & responsible gun-owner. All of the staff were & are very nice & helpful each time I am there but I speak or Cody specifically because he was the one who handled my purchase & dealt with me more one-on-one. Not to mention, you can sense they're truly trying to help you find the right firearm or accessories for you, rather than sell you the more expensive ones. If you plan to go to this range at least 1-2 times per month (min), the elite membership pays for itself many times over (esp If you don't have your own firearm gut also if you do.) You can't beat the unlimited range time + unlimited rentals, especially if you're really into shooting & learning more about guns. I now go at least once per week and have already saved hundreds of dollars on range time and gun-rentals just by becoming an elite-member @ Range-USA. I RARELY ever leave reviews about any place I go, but given how important this decision was for me & the fact they have & they continue to exceed my expectations, I felt it necessary to go out of my way (esp. for Cody W) to leave a review for those out there considering a visit (or many). It's important that I stress that neither Cody nor anyone employed here asked for a review or anything of that sort from me. Will never enter or recommend this business again. Incomentent and untrained staff. Called ahead to make the drive to purchase a specific firearm and brought a recent custom build with me to find a case. My rifle was unloaded with no mag and the bolt locked open, yet that didn't stop a swarm of five armed employees confronting me and my family, I thought they were going g to shoot us, I told them to calm down and they could remove the firearm from me to which they did after repeating myself several times. If you work in a gun range you can't be surprised when someone comes in with an unloaded gun, especially with three other completely unarmed people with you. They took my gun and put it in a case and put it behind the counter until I finished my purchase while someone held my hand the entire process. I have years of LE experience, a gunsmith and retail firearm experience. This was one of the most intense situations I've been in. Guns must be in a case when entering! Didn't notice the sign until I was at the door. Take my rifle away but still have a loaded pistol in my waistband. Utter stupidity. read more

Sad that they feel they have to gouge on ammo. Gun prices are average but ammo is expensive. Cost of range time is a little excessive but I understand there isn't another range in this area. Workers attitudes range from nice to ogre. Rifle range is very short, just long enough to site your rifle close enough to know where it goes when shooting on 100+ feet. I'm a big fan of Point Blank Range in general, because of their multiple locations. I have their All Access membership and make great use of it. This particular location (and their others I imagine) have some areas that could use improvement but, overall, it's a great range. Ammo and gun prices are average for a range of this caliber. Don't expect a great deal, but they also won't rip you off. The rifle range is sadly short. I much prefer Vandalia Armory for my rifle shooting, but at least they have a rifle range. The staff is hit or miss. They are knowledgeable *enough* about guns, but they are very often not knowledgeable about their own company, procedures, or sale processes. I have had many problems getting them to do things that every employee should know how to do including: Process my membership Sell me discounted items with my membership Honor discounts or promotions It's not that they don't want to, it's simply that they lack the knowledge of how to do it. Management, both locally and at their Cincinnati Headquarters, have ALWAYS been great and very responsive. If you want a good local range, check this place out. read more

So this was my first experience at an indoor range and I thought it was much better than expected. I usually shoot at Spring Valley, which is a state run outdoor range, and I like it a lot. Differences are at Spring Valley you are not timed and I find it easier to be more social - i.e. bring a friend or two and spend a few hours shooting a variety of pistols and rifles. That said, indoor range is year round, close and convenient, a great way to keep shooting through the winter. I found the staff at the Point Blank in Miamisburg to be extremely friendly and professional and plentiful. I was quite surprised at the number of people working at 4PM on a Wednesday. Range prices, while I don't have much to compare it to, I found them very reasonable. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. I didn't really look at gun prices, but ammo was average priced (not the cheapest I have seen nor the most expensive). I did purchase some accessories that I had checked out on Amazon and they were same price at the Point Blank Store (some gun cleaning supplies and a pistol case). I will definitely be back, and will probably purchase one of their unlimited monthly passes in October/November to shoot throughout the winter months. read more

Shoot point blank is a very nice and clean store with decent prices on guns but the fact that you have to be a member or purchase a gun just to get a box of ammo is ridiculous. I also stood around for 10 minutes before anyone offered to assist me and there was only 3 people in the store including myself. Went here for the range. They have a lunch special deal ($9 for a half hour). It was easy to signin and pay. You have to watch a mini safety ang range video. Hard for me to focus on the video (which is well done) given the distractions in the store and the huns to gawk at under the glass. Store staff was professional and nice. Range officer was a good guy, too. Range was clean and easy to use. They need more space/larger tables in the actual range to put your gun bag when shooting. They also have nice/simple waiting area with high top tables/chairs and other leather chairs to wait. I would definitely shoot there again. read more

Very happy this range opened in Centerville. My sister and I have been in the store many times. We both purchased a Sig Sauer handgun as our carry weapon. Our salesman was very friendly, helpful, knowledgable and had no issue with us as women. We've spoken to a number of sales guys who were all very willing to answer all our questions. I will say the guy that has registered us for range time on several occasions is seriously unfriendly. The Range Monitors have also been friendly and very willing to help if we encounter a problem. very rude to my wife wouldn't even show her a weapon bc she said she would know what pistol she would want to purchace when she felt it in her hands. Every weapon that I have purchased in the past has been done this way and everyone that I know has used this method. They were very persistent that she spend the money and rent the weapons on the range first before she bought a gun. Selection is crap for what they advertise in the space. Lunch time special is a good price and they have some other specials on range time. Nice clean facility that is usually well staffed. It is nice and worth the money to shoot indoors and have independent control of your target. Don't have to wait for a range seize fire! Sometimes they have ammo on sale, but when it is not it is a bit pricey. The staff pitches add ons for the range, ear protection, ammo and such- "no see these on my head young man?" Most of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, some are not. Have run into two younger staff that had the "I am wearing a gun open carry in the gun store therefore I am a bad ass" attitude, but that is expected from staff at most gun places. Their gun prices for the weapons I have been interested in are quite a bit higher than some other places if you shop around. If you are shopping for a gun you may find someone pushing you to purchase something "they" think is better "Glock, Glock, Glock". read more
